What a fun locally owned brewery. Came on a Taco Tuesday night and it was busy, but in a good way! Trivia games were being played, lots of families were out to support and the Tacos smelled amazing! But back to the beer- that's what you came for - Over a dozen on tap with tastings, flights or just commit to your choice with different sizes to choose from. We tasted about 6 with explanation and sharing with each. Such joy and passion as they talked about their brewing. Please note- no shared secrets or recipes were disclosed in the process... lol All in all it was a fun night- we will be back for the White Sage IPA and the Pineapple Golden Ale (summer must have- beach and poolside perfection) But we also can't wait to see what these brewmasters have up their creative sleeves coming up! Go and support these local boys

Service met us with a smile. They offered a splash (pro-tip try the Smashing Brown Ale), of whatever we asked to make sure we liked what we ended up ordering. Smart move Blue Fire! The food truck (Abarcason) was amazingly good, and the beer was tasty good. What more can you ask for?

Friendly family owned place. Dog friendly and open air location with inside and outside seating.. Enjoyable for trivia on Tuesday nights. All things going well at this newish (new to me) brewery - the only thing holding them back for 5 stars for me is a solid lineup of beer. We tried several and found them to be variable quality. A few we really liked. We will be back in a few months to try again

Blue Fire recently opened and they are a welcome addition to the local brewery scene. The beers are tasty and the selection is maturing, but with the enthusiasm and knowledge the staff has here, I think you will see better and better things. Cheers to Blue Fire and I will look forward to having another of your pints very soon.

I'm watching Bob Ross, Zen master and Olympics and tennis and drinking 4.7oz (too honest) tasters of six beers. Just ordered two Blue/Goat burger ready in 10-15 as I was here early. My old dog is resting. We visit a brewery after her therapy each Friday. I'll post the menu and beer for today as an example. Every taster was good. Great variety. Perfectly friendly place. You will not be disappointed here.

Great location, good selection, friendly employees. Stopped in after riding the bike path from Vista to San Marcos. Tommy was incredibly friendly and helpful.

This place is great!…read more Wife and I came out on a date night to this local spot we've been trying to come to for months. It was on a Friday night, the place was packed, and difficult to find a spot to park. The line to order was almost out the door, but still fast to get through, and we were quick to choose what we wanted before struggling to find a spot to sit and talk. After about 15 minutes, our order was ready and we got to enjoy our food. We started with the Carne Asada Nachos, Refried Beans on the side. The meat was flavorful, very tender, and plentiful atop a pile of crisp and fresh tortilla chips. The cheese was nice and salty and the sour cream was warm to the point where it drizzled over it all nicely. All in all, it was a very tasty start to the night. The only two issues I had with it were that the guac was a bit overly pureed, making it kind of runny. And the refried beans had a very sour flavor, making me think that they were over the edge of going spoiled. I had to thank my wife's aversion to eating beans, helping us avoid having them spooned on top, which would have ruined this course. I also had an Al Pastor Taco, Craft Coast Style. The whole it was crisped up well, the cheese forming a great crust on the inside of the taco. The meat was sweetly marinaded, flavorful and delicious. On top of it was a good amount of beans, onions, cilantro, and guacamole, making for a good sized taco without any overflowing. It was pretty damn tasty. So, our first trip out here had more highs than lows, resulting in a very positive initial dinner. I'm sure those beans were just a one-off, at least I hope they were. And there's still hope that the guac may have had too much lime or had been overly mixed this time around. A second trip is definitely in the cards, with more of the family to expand what comes to the table.

They have flavors that are only available for club members, which I didn't love but respect, since they allow non-club members to purchase tasters on Sundays. I am looking forward to returning to try the small-batch meads that are available exclusively for club members on a Sunday. The tasting room has a relaxed, rustic vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of outdoor seating, in fact. The decor is all about the bees-ness, with honeycomb accents, plants, and bees throughout. Pretty fun! The staff are super knowledgeable and happy to walk you through the different styles, whether you're into traditional dry meads or fun seasonal flavors. They often rotate their offerings, so there is always something new to try. They are also dog-friendly and sometimes host food trucks and events. I'm a huge Wicked fan and was excited to see this event advertised on Yelp. This restaurant was the only one in North County I can think of that acknowledged the movie when it was about to be in theaters. First of all, it was easy to get to based on my GPS but kind of challenging to find their parking lot. I ended up finding a 2-hour parking on N. City Drive which was in walking distance. All I was thinking of while walking up to Draft Republic is that this place is massive. Inside, the hostesses verbally instructed me where to go...came across bowling...arcade games...sports on tvs on my way. Behind the curtains, I entered the room in awe. Draft Republic really went ALL OUT!! The Wicked witchy vibe was sooo magical. I loved the beautifuuul Elphaba/Glinda decorations, cleverly creative themed menu option names, actual movie playing in the background, and the take-home momentos. Nick and staff were super wickedly friendly too. The Wicked Bites, Grimmerie Shots and Wickedest Cocktails were all FANTASTIC!!! I definitely tasted Draft Republic's wickedness. Sat at the bar on a Tuesday evening (it was dead in there, 7 people max sitting at the bar, INCLUDING us) and it took probably 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by one of the TWO bartenders working. When we finally were greeted, the interaction was shallow and brief. All we asked for was a couple small plates and one beer and then asked if they could throw on the hockey game since there were 6 TV screens going. The bartender said he'll see what he can do and nothing else after that. Food and beer came out so by that time we just propped our phone up to stream the game online, then had to grab our own silverware and napkins from a nearby table. Meanwhile the bartender was chatting and laughing with coworkers on the end. Again, they didn't even look understaffed but service was nearly nonexistent. Finally we asked for the check and left. Carrot cake was great! So that deserves a star

Several parties of 3+ and I saw 1 party of 6. They were doing an explorer menu from Yucatan. Interesting thing to do during Black History Month - I won't lie. I was surprised to see it. But we ordered from that menu. We ordered the fried plantain that came with a sauce and cilantro, sausage and pepper soup, and the BBQ pork. I enjoyed everything except for the plantain. They were basically a huge disc that was slightly crunchy. I was not expecting that since if I want a crunchy plantain, I will eat actual plantain chips. The soup was fantastic! It was a bit spicy but not overwhelming and full of flavor. Wish I ordered a bowl instead of a cup. And last but not least, the BBQ pork was very good. Served on lettuce as well, so if you are doing keto you can omit eating the tortillas that came with the dish. It also had pickled red onions and a salsa. The salsa was mild and with everything in the taco, flavors were balanced. We also ordered 6 Cajun wings. But today, they didn't seem as flavorful, a pity really. A grilled cheese was ordered but with hamburger meat inside. That seemed good and it came with fries. Washed all of this down with a sour that was called Boozy Berry & my fiancé had a West Coast beer. Food was enjoyable, atmosphere was fun. We will be back again.
