    2 grilled fish tacos. Yummy!

Yummy! Best steak & burgers in San Marcos! Great happy hour! Lots of parking. They have a patio for private parties. The service is amazing! My go to place!

Delicious, my favorite was the coconut shrimp and the cheese potato soup was amazing. Omg the dessert Brownie Sundae was soooo big and delicious. Everyone was friendly and nice. Service was fast and of course the food was delicious. I will be coming back for their lunch specials.

Yummy Prime rib! Cooked perfectly and the baked potatoes with cheese and bacon and sour cream was to die for!

First time to The Mining company! Sebastian made our first visit so incredible! He was very kind to explain the menu, talked about the soup options and even gave us little taster of two soups since I inquired about them. We ended up getting the Prime rib, with side salad, baked potatoes, and a side of onion rings! Boy, everything was yummy! Incredible service, incredible food! We will be back. Thanks again Sebastian for making our 1st visit an unforgettable one with your amazing customer service and joyful spirit!

This has to be the most expensive and mediocre meal I've had in a long time. The smoked Tri Tip for 2 comes with same portion of fries as a kids meal. The worst part was our server Paul. I've seen more energy from someone with clinical depression. He tried to charge us extra for the salad bar claiming that my father in law went multiple times. Which he didn't and he tried to ease the tension with a joke but our server just had a blank look on his face. Reluctantly fixes it for us. I'd never come back here and I'd advise keeping this server away from any customers.

This place was ok. I liked the feel of it, and it is much nicer than the previous location, but the food was kind of a miss for us. Fish & Chips - were ok, nicely cooked, but a strange batter on the fish. The fries were not bad at all. Loaded Baked Potato Soup - Interesting flavor, but good. Smoked Turkey - The meat was not good. Seemed like packaged turkey not something cooked. The gravy was salty and the potatoes were bland. Would not get again. The Great - Like the new spot! Open and clean The Good - The servers were pretty pleasant The Bad - The food was kind of sub par The Ugly - NA We aren't in a hurry to go back, but haven't discounted The Mining Company completely! Will update if we do go back!

You know, super old school feel steakhouse. The place used to be Phil's BBQ and sad they left... but we needed a sit in for Friday and decided to check this place out. There was about a 10 minute wait on a Friday night. Lots of seniors here. The food wasn't too bad! The bread was warm and the butter was nice and soft. Which some fancy steak places can't even get that right! We didn't get any apps, but for a drink. They have their house beer for a really good price and it wasn't bad! Wine was also affordable too. The prices weren't too bad. I got the prime rib and my husband got the 2 mix plate of tri tip and ribs. The ribs were completely flavorless and don't get it! But the tri tip wasn't bad. There was a good bark and smoke ring. It was tasty. He also got the tri tip chili, and there were chunks of tri tip on there. My Caesar salad was fresh and crunchy and no brown stale pieces. My prime rib wasn't bad either. The au jus was a little sweet so I added salt and it was better. It was cooked to my liking. And I liked the veggies that it came with. Service wasn't too bad either. Not a bad place. This is like old school steakhouse dinner type that my father in law likes. Like cowboyish in the boonies type too.

How much is the salad bar for lunch?

Depends on how you order it. $12 for a single trip, $14 for multiple trips, and $17 for bottomless soup and salad bar.

There's a parking garage that's basically a five minute walk away and validate your parking for the first two hours for free so that is cool! We had reservations, and were quickly accommodated upon arrival. The host was extremely friendly and the environment had a feel good energy vibe. It was a beautiful day to eat on the patio. Everyone was having a great time except for one crying baby lol. But that happens! The food was absolutely delicious, but let me start with that lemon drop martini. Wow! Super delicious. I could've probably drank a dozen of them. The focaccia was cooked perfectly. I thought the Montanara we're going to be like little pizza dough bites that you dip in sauce, but they're actually three giant pizza bites with different sauces and toppings! Very surprising to see, but pleasantly surprised. They were delicious! A nice crispy crust on the outside and a soft fluffy inside. But the star of the show for me, was the pappardelle with the Buona Forchetta (V) SAUCE!!!! Cream, egg yolk, parmigano, spicy marinara, black pepper... and I added crumbled Italian sausage for the win. The vibes were on point, the food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, everything was a win. I would definitely recommend this Italian place to just about anybody. I'm hoping all the other locations are just as good!

Great atmosphere as well. Honestly you cannot go wrong with anything on their menu! I recently tried their gluten free focaccia bread and I have not stopped thinking about it because it was so good. My other favorite sauces in the past have been their carbonara, buona forchetta, and aglio olio e peperoncino. Also their lunch menu is delicious too!

I'm a huge Wicked fan and was excited to see this event advertised on Yelp. This restaurant was the only one in North County I can think of that acknowledged the movie when it was about to be in theaters. First of all, it was easy to get to based on my GPS but kind of challenging to find their parking lot. I ended up finding a 2-hour parking on N. City Drive which was in walking distance. All I was thinking of while walking up to Draft Republic is that this place is massive. Inside, the hostesses verbally instructed me where to go...came across bowling...arcade games...sports on tvs on my way. Behind the curtains, I entered the room in awe. Draft Republic really went ALL OUT!! The Wicked witchy vibe was sooo magical. I loved the beautifuuul Elphaba/Glinda decorations, cleverly creative themed menu option names, actual movie playing in the background, and the take-home momentos. Nick and staff were super wickedly friendly too. The Wicked Bites, Grimmerie Shots and Wickedest Cocktails were all FANTASTIC!!! I definitely tasted Draft Republic's wickedness. I appreciated everything about this experience....well well done. What a WICKED TIME! I hope there are more speakeasy pop-ups in the near future :-)

Because Draft Republic is a rough place to quantify. The food is pretty good; if going off that alone, this place would easily be four stars in my eyes. But, it's not ... Draft Republic is trying to be a bit closer to like a mini Dave & Buster's (a place I have come pretty close to loathing). With an arcade, a bowling alley, a golfing simulator, a full bar, pretty extensive menu, good music, and a fantastic staff, they really have a lot going for them with a little something to make anyone happy. My own issue deals solely with the cost. Came here with my son, all we did was eat two entrees and an appetizer between us, and did nothing else. With drink and after tax and tip, the cost was well over $90. No games, no play, just burgers (plus fries and poke tacos) for two, costs as much as many Californian's net after a full day of work. When you're used to feeding the whole family for about half as much when going out (or a little more when eating sushi), that price was a bit rough. Still, the food is very good. My son and I each ate The Draft Republic Burger. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, very flavorful, and the toppings were high quality. The fries were crisp and salted well. And the side salad wasn't too bad. Both of us ate our entrees and gave it high marks. We had started with the Tres Poke Tacos, where the Tuna was very tasty, steeped in a flavorful marinade, and felt nice and fresh. Definitely a good starter. And the restaurant itself is gorgeous. A lot of space, beautifully furnished, kind of industrial meets art deco with some new age greenery architecture thrown in. I like it a lot. But, as an aging Gen-X'er, who used to go to arcades back in the day, and hates what new arcades have become, the amenities are under appreciated by me. All of that pads the price tag a bit out of what I am willing to pay just for dinner. Which may not be fair to Draft Republic, but that's where it left me.

Easy to place, ready in 20 or so minutes, by 8:06 pm according to the app. Easy to find with lots of parking I pulled into the parking lot and parked at the Takeaway parking, with a dedicated counter specifically for mobile orders. Clairemont location had one similar and a server always came out to greet whomever pulled up to pickup an order. Well, the Takeaway parking is not in an ideal location for a server working the Takeaway to see if anyone pulled in. The sign instructs you to wait in the vehicle and someone will come out. And I arrived at 7:55 pm. No one came out. So I waited and waited. 8:06 pm arrived and still no one came out. So, I go in and there is no one at the Takeaway counter. I proceed to the main restaurant, and had to ask two workers about my predicament. One went into the kitchen to check on my order. Couple minutes later, out comes my order!!! The restaurant was not busy and I can understand if they were slammed, but, their Takeaway needs to improve their efficiency if they want the customer to have a good experience. The chocolate cake was okay. A little on the dry side. However, you can order a cocktail to go and I ordered the Guava-Rita. It was sweet and I think I was supposed to put it on ice. My wife loved it. It also came with a glass mason jar with the Outback Steakhouse logo on it. I'm trying the Mango-Rita next time. Yes, there will be a next time. Maybe dine-in.

Nobody wants to spend half a birthday dinner trying to get someone's attention. We didn't want to make a fuss and ruin the vibe, so we just pushed through, but that's not really how a birthday dinner should go. I don't think the staff was trying to be careless, and I get that restaurants get busy. But between the wait, the wrong cook on the food, and the lack of table presence, it just fell flat for what was supposed to be a special night. I loved this place so much that I suggested this restaurant despite no one staying after to enjoy the casino. We didn't have our normal server but figured no big deal. It was an early dinner and packed. But died down significantly after an hour. Our meal too almost 3 hours for a pre set 3 course meal. The service was so slow and forgotten yet felt so quick for us to place next order when prompted. The soup of the day took forever to come out and tasted as if it sat under a heat lamp for 30 minutes. The pork chop was requested medium but came out almost rare+. I couldn't find anyone to ask if they could place it under broiler for a bit longer so I didn't eat much of it. The busboy was wonderful. He offered to package the leftovers (but didn't add the uneaten veggies or sauce with the to go container). We had to ask if we could have coffee with our desserts which would have probably been forgotten about had we not mentioned. There was a nice Happy Birthday written on a dessert plate but the guest's name was left off the plate (we had reminded the hostess and even written the name on the reservation notes). So the finesse and general touches were just gone. I would personally not recommend this place for future celebrations as the drive is too long for the quality/service now.
