Filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus

Collette's feels like having dinner at someone's cozy, artsy home with really, really good food. We came for dinner with a reservation and immediately because we had noticed their Pride flags out front. A rare sight in Escondido and inclusivity matters! We shared everything: the brussels sprouts (crispy, fresh, great flavor combo), the summer crostini (goat cheese, grilled peaches, prosciutto = chef's kiss), and a perfectly cooked filet mignon with absolutely amazing mashed potatoes. Portions were great for sharing, and we even had a few brussels left to take home. They didn't have a mocktail menu, but they happily made one on the fly and it was delicious. Service was super kind and relaxed; this isn't a rush-in, rush-out kind of place. You get conversation around the dining experience, information about where everything is sourced from, and little palate cleansers between courses, which was such a nice touch. The vibe is quiet, cozy, and full of charm plus, the bathroom has a pink neon "You're like really pretty" sign, so they clearly get it. We'll definitely be back. Great food, warm energy, and a place that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.

Collette's strives to provide the ultimate dining experience. As we entered, they delivered an ambiance worthy of mentioning it. Beautiful! Upper crusty dining quarters of a European home, very comfortable! We were warmly greeted by Annie, our night's Server who had tan overalls just as the other servers. Farmer-like overalls! That was part of the whole experience. A visit to the restroom to just wash your hands before dining is worth the additional steps in your day's count. I thought they were uniquely decorated to be available to all. Our evening started off with a Cosmopolitan and an EIEIO (their version of an Old Fashion). I liked the Cosmo. Nice touch on the sugar rim! The other cocktail did not quite hit the note. It barely offered a Bourbon kick sought. We had a chance to savor their French Onion Soup, the Filet Mignon, and Rack of Lamb both delectable though side vegetables seemed cooler than preferred. Noted that their French Onion Soup had a deep flavored bone broth. I'd be back even if just for that! Prices we felt were overstretched. Expensive enough to mention it. You decide.

What a great find in Escondido! The food and service was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back here in the near future. The cocktails were on point and the bartender had such a great personality. For food we ordered the mussels and soup... delicious. For the main we had the lamb ravioli and the Beef Bourguignon...delicious!

It was an amazing New Year's Eve experience. My husband and I went there for the New Years dinner. We had Casey as our waiter. He was AMAZING. He did not steer us wrong. He suggested the beef Wellington for me. Seasoned to perfection and the light pastry shell was amazing. The beef was so tender you could use a butter knife. Portions were plenty, I am eating again today. My husband had the steak , the best fillet mignon he has had and the man is a proud carnivore. The cocktails - OH LORD! Again Casey suggested the Farmer's wife and the Tex something. Sorry cant remember... probably from the alcohol but oh so yummy. My husband had the French onion soup and I had the muscles with Spanish chorizo, so incredible. Then finally was the cream brûlée. One of the best. We will certainly return. Loved Casey and all the staff. He knew his menu and drinks. What a wonderful way to start a New Year.

This was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The staff was attentive, the aesthetic is super cute, and the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the beet salad app.

Delicious food, drinks and great service!

Everyone was super nice! Kasey and Annie definitely made our time here memorable. Kasey is an amazing bartender. Definitely have to come back again! Thank you for the great service

They sat us at one of the semi circle booths, and even had rose petals on the table. Ambiance is 10/10. Our server was Ireland and she was the best. Pacing was on point with the wine, appetizer, main course, and dessert. Great vibes and knowledgable on the food, when we had questions. Service was also a 10/10. The bread with their special butter was a great starter 8/10. The ceviche is probably the best I've ever had. I recommend eating the pepper that it's in, especially if you like spice... 11/10. We also had the cioppino and salmon, which were both delicious 9/10. This place is a must, if you're in North county. They sounded good on the menu but a tad disappointing on first sip. Appreciate the kids menu. Complimentary popover was a nice surprise. Short rib was tender but dry. Husband ordered the New York steak medium rare and it arrived medium well. Fortunately a server came to check on us right after the entrees were served and they fixed it right away. Lobster Mac n cheese was too rich with the bacon. I think it would've been better without the bacon. We also got the blue cheese on the side. Mud pie was good but was pretty frozen making it hard to eat. Complimentary butter cake for the birthday girl was an added bonus. Butter cake was delicious. We came here bc we had the Chase credit but also it was close to birthday girls house. Short and sweet summary: Don't order the steak. Prices are pretty steep and food fell short of expectations. Service is top notch. Would probably come again but only for HH and the butter cake

We hosted a wine tasting and bites event here for our alumni group and it ended up being one of our favorite events we've done. They set us up on the private patio, turned on the TVs so we could play themed videos, and even changed the string lights to match our school colors. The level of thoughtfulness really stood out. The salad, veggie plate, and french fries were all amazing and they also have gluten free flatbreads that were incredible. Every time food came out, they made sure to call out any dietary notes, which we really appreciated. I've already been telling friends they need to go try it, and I'll definitely be buying a few bottles as gifts this year. It's that good. This one doesn't even come close to it. The service personnel obviously lacked training. The tables lacked the basics, not even salt and pepper, although the water sevice was served in cold bottles and glasses, which was a good touch. The menu was limited, best for luch. My wife ordered a salad, which was average. I ordered a chicked pesto sandwich wich was pre-heated, and did not taste fresh at all. It was barely warm. We ordered focacia bread that was served with some garlic cream. The food presentation was amateurish. We did not finish our food and promptly left the restaurant.

I'm glad this place gives me the space to do that. I want to go back to try different dishes and wines, browse the shops, and save room for dessert! Perhaps I will come on a Friday since they have a farmer's market that day from 9am-1 pm! I had a date night and went on a Saturday, 2 hours before closing. We ordered Calabrese Pizza, Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza, Parmesan Fries, and Rigatoni & Vodka Sauce Pasta. My goodness, everything was GOOD! The Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza was my favorite, pure perfection of flavors. I know there's always a debate with pineapple on pizza but this apple and gorgonzola makes sense, I don't think anyone would ever question it. The parmesan fries was so yummy as well, you get a HEFTY amount. We actually didn't finish a good amount and took this home along with a few slices of pizza. Pasta was delicious as well, there was leftover pasta sauce that we just scooped up with the crust of the pizza. The ambience - amazing and beautiful. It is pretty spread out. I've only been here a couple times but I was able to find a table both times aside from the good amount of people the times I've came. We sat inside the tasting room and the food came out promptly. I do love that on hot days they will turn their misters on, great touch Way to keep us cool! We decided to do the Traditional Wine Tasting where you get six 1.5 oz pours of your choice for $32. Also, you can get free chocolate to pair with your wine at the dessert shop. Delicious, everything I ordered was what I needed. Everyone here just seems incredibly nice. From the people who took your order at the Kitchen, food runners, pourers, even the lady at the dessert shop (even though we didn't get any dessert lol) was friendly. We wanted to get dessert, but we had 15 minutes left till closing, however she didn't rush us out the outside area. I saw that there was a sugar free pistachio gelato flavor. I love that, seems like it was a hit because it was nearly all out! Next time I do go, I definitely want to try that and their cannolis!!! I love Cannolis. Anyways, back to the wine tasting, I believe her name is Cecilia (?), She was great. Great service along with the other pourer at the counter. I did not catch her name but she has blonde short hair and was very nice and friendly as well! Overall, 10/10, & I will be back very soon.
