This place was SO COOL! I highly recommend everyone check it out. It's a bar/art museum, and don't let the outside fool you because this place is HUGE! There is so much art to look at! Tons of rooms and upstairs! You can also purchase the art as well. The bar part is cozy but super friendly. The drinks were fantastic! They had cocktails, beer, wine and more! The cocktail I had was so delicious. The only downside is you can not take your drink with you to walk around the art museum, you must finish it at the bar. Either way this place was really cool, perfect for date night or just because! Go check it out!

This place is amazing, it is a hidden gem located in Downtown Escondido that has a cute art gallery. The service was great and very friendly. Our server was Chris, who was very attentive and informative about the cocktails served. We ordered the Meaderita and the Sour Apple Meadtini which were both really good and unique. We will definitely be back.

This bar is located inside of Distinction Gallery. Accessibility: the door to enter is a single pull door, and the bar is all on flat ground, one floor. They have high chairs to sit in at the bar directly, as well as a few tables that are more wheelchair accessible. If you need assistance, ask the man working there...he is super nice! I believe his name is Christopher, and he is the owner. Experience: I came in when it was empty and I was greeted by Christopher, the bar owner. He is very friendly and a pleasure to speak with. The bar is open Thursday through Saturday 4-10, and on Sunday from 11-5. They are just a bar right now, no restaurant, just a heads up. I highly recommend this place! Support your locals!

To say this is a "hole in the wall" bar, is not really fare. Nor is it a "dive" by any means. Last Spot is just a great little gem of a bar here in Escondido on the east end of Grand Ave. Just far enough from the center of down town that you can avoid some crowds. And thats good, because this bar fits about 10 people or so. But...you get an artsy cool space, helpful staff and a great selection of some great local and specialty beers, wines, meads and a few craft cocktails. I gotta say since the new ownership took over a few weeks ago the quality of the beverage offerings has increased and I am greatly looking forward to the cocktail selection increasing along with their hours of operation. This is the spot for sure...so lets go grab a drink!

Parking was easy; dining was outside with lots of shade. The service was great; everyone was so friendly. We didn't wait long for our food or drinks. They even split the salad for us individually. The portions were generous than what we expected for a happy hour menu so it was a really GOOD deal. We ordered the lobster bisque, mussels with a red curry sauce, farmers market green salad, and ceviche. They were all so delicious! All the flavors were present as stated in the menu but were balanced and subtle which we loved. Our favorites were the bisque and the mussels. The lobster bisque was delicate and creamy with a hint of lobster. The ceviche was a tad bit too tart but we still enjoyed it with the fried chips. For happy hour, I highly recommend this place. It's so underrated. Easy parking, excellent service, and some really delicious food in town.

There are many updates that add to the ambiance. The main dining area is as nice as I remember it with an upscale feel. Walking to the main dining area is a long dining table and a display of their bottles of wine. Tonight Daou wines were on display. The food: Husband is very picky about what he eats and I am happy to say he loved his swordfish entree. I took a taste and it was delicious! The complimentary bread reminds me of Yorkshire pudding bread. Our appetizer was chicken potstickers on top of ramen like noodles and dressed in a Thai chili soy broth--delicious! I didn't really have an appetite, so I went with the Romain Cesar salad (my go to when it comes to salads). New to me is the outdoor patio where there were several tables of diners. This is where they have happy hour every day. The sign says Vin-Tiki lounge, where they have live music. Sounds like a fun time! I think the Lexus dealership has really upped their game with Vintana. Our server was Ireland, a catchy name that I remembered! Very good service too!

The ambiance is beautiful, the property is gorgeous, and we really appreciate all the free events they offer. The food truck is always a solid choice with pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and even gluten-free options. If you're just looking for a snack, they also have items available inside. The wine selection is excellent, and one of our favorite things is that it's dog-friendly, so our pups can join us. My only suggestion would be to improve the wine line. It can take 10-15 minutes to get a refill, especially during trivia, which sometimes means missing the next question. It would be awesome if there were a separate line for guests who just want to order a glass of wine instead of doing a tasting. Overall, Orfila is a beautiful winery with a fun, welcoming atmosphere, great wine, and events that keep us coming back week after week. Highly recommend!

The most Rockwood Ranch was purchased and added into the property in 2006, and the Rockwood farmhouse which was built in the 1890's is now the Rancho Guejito Vineyard tasting room! Because of the size of this property, they have the space to having amazing events! Check out their calendar for event details, but they do have a lot of events for kids as well as some street faire type events. I ama not certain if they always have live music, but the times that we have been here, they have had great live music playing. They have a great selection of wines (the sweet ones for me and the not sweet ones for my wife) as well as delightful Sangria's and wind slushies. The food was actually really good here too! They have Cheeseburgers, Bratwurst, Hotdog, veggie burgers, nachos, Bavarian pretzels, charcuterie box, churros. They also had sliders when we were there, and we opted to share sliders, charcuterie box and a Bavarian pretzel. The pretzel was massive and delicious, 100% would order again. The sliders were cooked perfectly and are made from beef raised on the property where they maintain a herd of over 2000 cows! You can also purchase a Box of their 100% grass fed on open pastures beef to take home for your freezer and cook at your leisure. This is an amazing place, always a lot of fun!

The good: Great service from our server, lovely atmosphere, seated quickly on even on Mothers day. Salad and basil dressing were great. The crab cake was good. The unacceptable: The most important part of eggs benedict is the poached eggs, that means cooked whites, runny yolk. 2 of us ordered the dish, and of the 4 poached eggs, three were so overcooked, the yolks were hard boiled, crumbly and dry. I let the server know and asked that they just bring out new eggs, no need to remake the plate. over 15 minutes later, (so ow we had cold crab cakes) they dropped off a small plate with 4 genuinely undercooked poached eggs, they looked like soup. they were a literal puddle. The manager came by to ask if we had out eggs yet a couple moments before they were dropped off, we said no and he and said I'll take care of one of these for you. I don't expect free meals, and I rarely send food back, but this seemed pretty petty. Soupy eggs that took an extraordinarily long time (the restaurant was not at capacity at all). When I received the bill, there was a 15% discount on the eggs benedict. I get tight margins, but at least make the dish correctly please. The hollandaise sauce was good, the server very sweet and friendly (and of course we tipped him 20%, food is not his fault) but I doubt I would try this place again if that is how the rectify substandard meals.
