Roma's has an overall rating of 3.9 stars, but you have to go back all the way to August of 2020 (if you use the search filter changed to Newest First) to find the first review under 4 stars. Whatever was happening back in those days has obviously been rectified, as the four times I have eaten pizza from here, with the latest being two nights ago, has convinced me they are a 5 star (as good as it gets / great) for tasty and well made pizza in the eastern section of O'side. I actually requested we eat from here again, as I enjoyed the taste those previous times. This go around we ordered a large Supreme Gourmet Pizza (pepperoni , ham , sausage , green pepper , onions , mushroom , olives , extra cheese). It was loaded with the goodies (see photo), fresh ingredients, was well baked, not greasy and tasted fantastic! It was well constructed and tasted great just like the previous three times I have had their pizza. Each time we ordered and provided a pick up time they were always punctual, with the exception of one time and we had to wait less than 10 minutes (not big deal). I can not comment on any of their other offerings, with the exception of their spaghetti; only being that the toddler granddaughter liked it a lot. My son purchased a Greek salad on the side, which looked well made and fresh. He did not eat it until the next day and I did not get any feedback from him (but I did snap a photo for y'all). My go to for pizza in the Oceanside area. Closest major cross streets are N. River Road/ Vandegrift Blvd and College Blvd. I've tried several pizza places in O'side and still keep coming back to Roma's, especially for the Hawaiian Style GOURMET pizza (not the regular), which includes double meat, double pineapple and extra cheese. When you telephone your order for pick-up be sure to ask the wait time. There is no dinning area to be seen, so pick-up or delivery will be your options. I typically order pizza during the mid afternoon on the weekends, and wait time is about 30 mins. Can depend if the day you order is a big sporting event for get-togethers. I haven't been here at night, but suspect you may not want to send your wife or girlfriend to pick-up, because the businesses in this area have bars on the windows and doors. read more

Pizza is A-FREAKING-MAZING! Just crunchy enough on the bottom with a just the right amount of cheese on top. Service was phenomenal too - staff was ultra respectful, responsive, and friendly to boot. Don't let the outside of this place discourage you from checking them out. Tucked in between a liquor store and a Mexican eatery (also good), this place is gold. The jalapeño poppers were great, exactly how I like them. Without the crust sliding off after every bite. I bought a large cheese pizza with bacon, mushroom and spinach. Delicious! I wanted to support a local business in these covid-19 times instead of ordering from a large chain I opted for Roma's based off reviews. I ordered 2 large 1 topping pizzas over the phone and went to pick them up. 1 pizza was a Large pepperoni for $10 on special and the other was a Large mushroom pizza with white sauce for $14 my total was $26.47. My white pizza was very dry with little to no sauce and very bland. Disappointing since I did pay extra for the white sauce. The crust on both pizzas was hard, dry and flavorless, to be honest cardboard- like in texture. They were also burnt around all the edges. I expected WAYYY BETTER based off the positive reviews. I will NOT be ordering from here ever again! read more

I live just about 2 miles from this place and have just discovered it after 8 years. It is kind of off the main drag so you won't know it's there unless you head down their street. To me, this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust is good, ingredients are fresh and plentiful and the tomatoes they use...there's a kind of sweetness as you bite into them. I have been getting the 14" take out special that comes with 3 toppings and it is currently just $16. There's more than enough pizza for two people. There are other sources of pizza in the area and believe me, I've had them all. There are two of the biggest chains operating close by but any pizza from them is cardboard garbage...don't bother. Give Roma's a try...the quality is really good and they are really competitively priced. I like the fact that a small, independent place is kicking the butts of the large chains. read more

What Crap ! total waste of time .money and gas at over 55 now this is the absolute the worse pizza I have ever had ,,, Paper (not cardboard) thin no cheese and no taste at all - a flakey crust and not much more. Better to stay home and buy a Red Baron from your supermarket . We purchased the $10 large take out special . We attempted to consume and it was just not possible - Then added cheeses to make it more edible - Remembering the saying "you can't polish a turd" I should have learned from experience and save my efforts ... I live here on Camp Pendleton and was ecstatic to find someone that delivers on base! The lady even came up to the second floor and knocked which is the first time that has ever happened to me. The food was great. I had the gyro and boneless wings. Tiramisu was on point and beautifully crafted. Would totally order from here again. I would say very well priced as well! read more

Customer service is superb here! from the time I called in my order which I knew would be busy because of the Dodger Padre game! Gooo Dodgers!!! they took my large order and made it in no time at all! Quick and efficient! which I appreciated! He went out of his way to call me back to tell me he gave us the wrong order salad instead of wings drove back he told me stay in my car just pull up and he gave us our wings and let us keep the salad for free. This service I appreciate so much cause it's definitely hard to find these days love this small local pizza parlor. I'll be back for more. As someone born and raised in Long Island, NY finding a decent pizza out here in California has been such a struggle these past 2 years. Roma's is conveniently located and the closest thing we've gotten to a NY style pizza on the West Coast. The pies are decently priced, can't beat $23 for a 20" pizza. Our order is always done within 15-20 minutes (sometimes even less), it's our go to for pizza night! read more

My husband and I have been here a few times now and have really enjoyed their food! We have tried the Greek salad, the chicken Alfredo pizza (my favorite), the boneless Buffalo wings, and a few other pizzas. The wait time is never too long and the people are great. I love finding small, local places that are fantastic and unexpected. Roma's is right down the street from my house but I thought it was pretty much a pizza place so I wasn't super worried about trying it. A while ago I was on my way home from work and randomly decided to call them and pick up a pizza. While picking up my pizza I grabbed a menu and at home while eating looked thru it and realized how many other things they have on their menu. It's a ton of different stuff! I was so happy to find a local place that delivers and has so many options other than pizza. This is now one of our regular places for pickup or delivery. We have tried a bunch of things and all the food is amazing. The employees are nice as well. read more

Great pizza! For real this time... Thin crust yet still chewy and not "cracker like". I usually prefer thick crust pizza because it's chewier, but it's got lots of carbs when made that way. But this place manages to give you both, low carb crust and chewy buttery crust, yet still crispy. I even ate my crust ends which I usually just eat around and throw away, but not here, crust was bomb! It's a hole in the wall for sure. Also they don't start delivering till 5pm fyi. Prices were good. We got a medium supreme pizza and a medium Greek salad for $20. Picked up, didn't use delivery. Also toppings were piled HIGH for a supreme, just how I like it. Salad was fresh and crispy. The menu selection was nice with lots of variety, pizzas, pastas, salads, calzones, sandwiches, gyros, wings, desserts. Though we don't eat there and pick up only, I think the facility itself could use a little sprucing up. Will definitely be back. Whole family Ioved the food. read more

I recently moved back to this side of town and I occasionally make my 7/11 stops at this location. This pizza place caught my eye and I proceeded to checking yelp for pics. Finally decided to try(after a couple of months),I started out light with a medium 10"(six slices), one topping for $8...(pick up). I went super basic with pepperoni. The pizza surprised me! This is definitely a "hole in the wall" you must try. I believe if more people knew about this place it'd be an Oceanside staple. I ended up coming back a second time within the week. Moved to the area a couple of months ago and hadn't really seen this place. It's kind of tucked back in between a 7/11 and a liquor store. I was hoping for some better pizza than the national guys. These people did not disappoint!! I love the cheese, I love the toppings and the crust is just perfectly crispy. They beat the estimated ETA and sent a text when it was ready. I ordered online which was easy and straightforward. With all the COVID restrictions human interaction was minimal, but pleasant. I mean, I ordered a pizza, they made it and gave it to me when I picked it up. Perfect. Already planning to buy more for a graduation party this weekend. Looking forward to when we can sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. UPDATE: I just read a couple of the past reviews. They all sounded so similar to what I wrote.
