The order and the fact it was practically inedible I fault giannis.The fact it was D.O.A I fault DoorDash . I understand there are staff shortages , equipment malfunctions and other things that happen , but this was the worst experience I've had to date with either . Only $8 for a mini sized pizza which is perfect for just me. My go to is a mini pizza with extra cheese and a small Caesar salad. The salad dressing is good, nice and tangy and the croutons are perfectly crunchy. They also have a decadent limoncello cake that is creamy and delicious. For around $20, Gianni's is a great option. This is my (first time) in placing my online order for Gianni's Pizza on the Door Dash App on my Apple IPhone XR for my lunch time meal. I always enjoy trying out new restaurants that I have never eaten at before and also when I order on the Door Dash App for new places because I enjoy eating a variety of different kinds of cuisines. I was browsing the Gianni's Pizza Menu and I wanted to try their Calzones to go along with a Caesar Salad and I also I love eating desserts. I ordered two different kinds of desserts today. My order is as follows: One Froman Pesto Calzone these ingredients includes: (spicy sausage pieces, mozzarella cheese, sliced mushrooms, onions, and spinach with marinara sauce) that is filled in a calzone. The price is $11.99. I also ordered a Caesar Salad it includes the Caesar Dressing. This Caesar Salad has ice berg lettuce, crunchy croutons, and slivers of parmesan cheese that comes with a creamy Caesar Dressing a separate container. The price is $9.99. I ordered a large size Caesar Salad. This One Froman Pesto Calzone was a big size and still warm when I received it from Liz so I didn't need to heat it up in my microwave oven. I placed these food items on separate plates. I only could eat half of this one Froman Pesto Calzone because I am a small eater. This Calzone did not come with a dipping sauce from this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant. I was eating this Froman Pesto Calzone for my lunch meal. This Calzone was very hearty and also it tasted very good with this (spicy sausage pieces, the sliced marinated mushrooms, melted mozzarella cheese and the sautéed spinach) that was filled inside this calzone. The dough of this calzone was crispy and very delicious. It was my first time eating a Froman Pesto Calzone. Then I also was eating the large size Caesar Salad with the dressing. I was only again able to eat half of this salad. It was very healthy and very flavorful. This Caesar Salad paired really good with my calzone. For my side order I selected the One Cheese Garlic Bread. The price is $2.50. The Cheese Garlic Bread is toasted in an oven and it is spread with melted cheese and another garlic sliced bread is placed together and it looks like a cheese sandwich on a submarine roll. My desserts which I have chosen today were the 2 Brownies. The price is $2.00 each and I ordered 2 quantity so the total was $4.00. I had eaten one brownie, it was very moist with the yummy chocolate flavor. I saved my second brownie to eat at a later date. Then my final dessert order was the one slice of the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. The price is $4.89. This is a generous piece of cake that is layered between the Limoncello Mascarpone filling and it has 3 layers of cake which is very moist and really delicious. My subtotal was $33.37. The delivery fee was originally $7.49 but since I spent the minimum amount of $12.00 then my delivery fee was no charge to me. The service fee was $6.34 but was reduced down to only $3.00. The estimated tax was $2.20. The dasher tip I had chosen for Liz my dasher delivery driver was $8.00. I accepted this expensive tip for Liz since my order is an expensive Door Dash Order today. My total bill was $39.90. This amount was charged to my visa credit card account. I received my Door Dash delivery order earlier about 10 minutes sooner than I had expected. My Gianni's Pizza Order was dropped off to me at 1:24 p. m. It didn't take very long for this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant to prepare and to bake my Froman Pesto Calzone and then I received a text message from the Door Dash Company that told me my Dasher driver her name is Liz is heading to the Gianni's Pizza Restaurant to pick up my order. And Door Dash will text message me and let me know when Liz will be heading to me to deliver my order to my home address. It had taken Liz about 15 minutes to drive over to this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant to pick up my order and then Liz drove over to my home to drop off my order to me. Liz knocked on the front door then I opened up my front door and Liz said hi and then she handed me my order This Froman Pesto Calzone was in a Hot Box and the other order was in a large brown paper bag. Liz was very friendly to me then she left my house. Everything I had eaten today for my lunch time meal was very delicious and I was very impressed with it being my first time ordering from this Gianni's Pizza Restaurant. Their desserts the chocolate brownies was very moist and this chocolate flavor was not too sweet. The Limoncello Mascarpone Cake has real Mascarpone filling layered in between this really moist cake and it has a really light and really delicious flavored frosting and filling. I really enjoyed eating this Limoncello Mascarpone Cake today for my dessert. I called and spoke to their manager after I ate everything this afternoon. I've ordered this before and it was fine, I don't know what they did differently this time to make it unbearably salty. My garlic bread was microwaved which made it like rubber to try and chew. This place is amazing. First off, if you're looking for Domino's style pizza, this may not be what you're looking for. But, if you're looking for a place run by a caring owner who has really put his heart and soul into every menu item--caring so much that he literally flew his staff to Italy to train and make *authentic* pies--this place is for you. Its modest, hole-in-the-wall vibes playfully pay an homage to the Grateful Dead through the dancing bears and art on the wall. There's a tiny but mighty selection of good beers, too. One thing they pride themselves on is vegan-friendly options, and they truly excel here. Their meat options are just as great, and let me say their gluten-free crust is literally unmatched (not dead, lifeless, or crumbling the way many are). And you don't have to feel bad about having dietary restrictions or allergies! They are so flexible and will work with you. *chef's kiss* They use clean ingredients--i want to say they're mostly, if not totally, organic, too. Trust me, the quality and attention to detail really shines through in the flavor combinations and precision when cooking. They'll try funky flavor combinations and even have a whole section of the menu dedicated to the not-so-mainstream options. It's tough to find vegan pizza without having to order it without cheese or something weird like that. Not only does this place have vegan options, they have a ton of them! There are also vegan pastas and salads and sandwiches on their menu too. On top of just having vegan options, they actually taste great too! I actually was really impressed by their pizza crust. I don't know anything about their cooking techniques, but it tasted like someone who actually cared about the flavor of the dough made it. Way better than the dough at most pizza places, IMHO. My only critique would be that they always roll their pizza dough so flat in the middle that it is too thin to pick up a slice of pizza. When you try, half the toppings fall off. The crust is nice and thick, but the middle of the pizza is just too thin, necessitating a fork and knife to eat it, or you'll just have to deal with really messy hands, your choice. Gianni's is mine and my husband's favorite pizza place. Their food is ALWAYS good and they have so many vegan options to choose from. The gluten free crust isn't my go-to but I have tried it and it tastes exactly the same as the regular crust in my opinion and when my parents were in town my mom who has celiac disease tried the GF pizza and was amazed. She hasn't tried a gluten free pizza this good in many years. The reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's not the cleanest restaurant. The vibes are great though, it really feels like that cute small business that has a personality. It's just the wood tables feel like they have years of grime caked on them and I once had a smooshed dead spider on the inside of my cup which I didn't realize was there until I was about 1/3 of the way through my drink (they poured it out and gave me a new glass).
