Overall, I enjoyed my night at The Crocodile. The security felt safe, there was a coat check and a lot of room to dance which is necessary. We didn't end up getting drinks there since we did at dinner, but there was a bar in the back wall of the venue - what I did like was that inside the bar room they played the show we came to see as a rave. The only things that could make the experience more enjoyable would be if the projector for shows could be closer like one next to the DJ, as well as the lasers kept pointing in my eyes, I was wearing sunglasses and still had to look down or close my eyes most of the time. Just some things that would make this venue my favorite because otherwise it was a great experience!

saw my favorite band, Spite, here a few months ago & it was awesome the staff is SO friendly, and handed out water during the show. new favorite venue!

Saw Wax Tailor on a Thursday. Check-in and security were quick and easy. We grabbed drinks without much of a wait, and the venue was comfortable, not too hot or cold. The restroom was clean with plenty of stalls, which is always a plus (no line). There was an employee managing the walkway between the crowd and the bar. He was a bit pushy, but it kept things organized, so I get it. Overall, I'd come back for another show

Came here for a concert and overall the experience was ok! It's a smaller more intimate venue but I found the acoustics to be really loud. Loud as in hard to hear the singing/rapping and at times wishing I had brought ear plugs. Security check-in was simple and quick. They have a bar area with seating before entering the main music venue and also another bar inside as well. Looks like for the show I was at, it was standing room only.

If you're a music fan and in Seattle, you have to see a show at the Croc. This isn't the original location, but the history carries over with this new location. Don't be concerned about standing for a show. It's big enough hear that you don't feel cramped and easy to get to the bar or get some food.

Does this venue still have pizza?

    No they do not

Does this place require vaccination cards?

    Yes.

What's the approximate capacity during a concert?

    550

I'm coming to see SuperMega in February. Will it be standing room only? Or will there be temp seated added? (Just asking because they aren't a band so we probably won't be dancing like a reg gig.) Thanks in advance for taking time to answer me :)

Normally the Crocodile is standing room only, but if this is a unique type of gig then they may have specific arrangements in mind. I would contact them directly to see what the plan is for that show.

My kids want me to bring them to a concert later in the year. Admission is not restricted by age, but wondering how practical it is? Could they use the balcony, or how does it work?

At shows I've been to, yes the balcony is the all-ages area!

Is there a seat or seating to watch and enjoy the show?

Very limited in the concert area, a few benches around the wall. But the bar area has some tables and you can certainly hear the show if not see it from there

Since then, every visit has been fantastic. The staff has been noticeably more attentive, welcoming, and genuinely focused on creating a great guest experience. I've been coming to Jazz Alley since 2005, and over the past 20 years it has been the place where I've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, business dinners, and evenings out with family and friends. Some of my favorite memories in Seattle have been made here--introducing guests from out of town to world-class jazz, sharing dinner with my son, and enjoying unforgettable performances with my partner and close friends. What stands out now is that the service once again matches the caliber of the musicians on stage. Servers are attentive without being intrusive, food arrives on time, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming again. No restaurant or venue gets it right 100% of the time, but what matters is listening to customers and making improvements. Jazz Alley appears to have done exactly that, and I truly appreciate it. It's great to have one of Seattle's iconic venues back to providing the complete experience--exceptional music paired with exceptional hospitality. I'll continue bringing family, friends, clients, and visitors here for many years to come. Bravo to the entire Jazz Alley team.

I understand Lydia Pense and her band are popular in R&B circles and the Bay area, so, we thought we'd check them out. Especially when I learned there was a Tower of Power connection. The show was energetic and Cold Blood warmed the audience up from start to finish! The ensemble captivated the venue with a few of their old favorites including, "You Got Me Hummin," "I Just Want To Make Love To You," "I'm A Good Woman," and "Down to the Bone." As usual, the front-of-the-house staff was welcoming and accommodating! We were seated almost immediately at our table to begin dinner before the show. Jazz Alley appreciates your early arrival if you're having dinner to minimize disruptions while the show is going on. We started the evening with Sauvignon Blanc and Old Fashioned, and Jazz Alley's calamari appetizer. For entrees on this visit, we chose the seared Wild King Salmon and the Vegetable Lasagna. The salmon was a generous size portion of fish with a nice sear and moist. It was served with lemon-turmeric jasmine rice pilaf, steamed asparagus, and cherry tomatoes. The lasagna was also a good size portion that included eggplant, spinach, mushrooms, basil, ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella, served on a bed of rich San Marzano tomato sauce and topped with pesto. It was delicious. For dessert we opted for the Molten Chocolate Cake and Key Lime Pie. The warm French vanilla chocolate cake included a molten center and was served with sweet, whipped cream and caramel sauce. The Key Lime Pie (my favorite) is custard baked in a graham cracker crust and topped with sweet, whipped cream. We thoroughly enjoyed both!

If one of your favorite bands comes here, you will have an amazing, close and personal experience! The drinks are good, fairly reasonably priced. It is an STG location, so the service is good and consistent! The Showbox is one of those Seattle venues where the atmosphere is almost as memorable as the show itself. The historic architecture gives the space a distinctive character, while the interior combines old-school concert-hall charm with a gritty, intimate rock-and-roll aesthetic. The exposed brick, high ceilings, dark finishes, and vintage details create a setting that feels authentic rather than overly polished. What really makes The Showbox special, though, is its size. It is large enough to accommodate a great crowd but small enough that you never feel disconnected from the performance. There is an intimacy to the room that makes even a larger touring act feel like they are playing a much more personal show. The sound quality is another major highlight. The relatively compact layout means the music feels immediate and powerful without losing the clarity of the instruments or vocals. You can actually hear and experience the performance rather than simply watching it from a distance. Whether you're standing near the stage or farther back in the venue, the acoustics help create a consistently immersive experience. Overall, The Showbox is a fantastic place to see live music. The unique architecture and decor give it plenty of personality, while the smaller footprint, strong acoustics, and close proximity to the stage create the kind of concert experience that larger arenas simply can't replicate. It feels like a true Seattle institution--and exactly what a great live music venue should be.
