I just saw Talib Kweli here last week. Surprisingly, this was my first time at The Crocodile. I was very pleased! This is definitely one of the nicest smaller venues I've been to in the city, if not the nicest. The floor was a bit sticky but that's really unavoidable. The bouncers were nice, the ticket guy was nice, will call was hassle-free. All they needed was your ID to match up against their list. No confirmation # or credit card required. The bathrooms were extremely clean which I appreciate so much at a club because it's rare, sadly. The DJ who played before the opening acts was pretty good. All in all, great venue! I miss the "old" Crocodile. The bathrooms are better (and cleaner!) in the remodel (although they have some accessibility issues I wish I could help them with). In the old format, I used to be able to easily get up front at shows, and get some protection from behind by the column that was in everyone else's way. Now, if I manage to get up front, it's free access to crush me from behind. I realize this is a personal problem, hence I didn't really include it in my rating. I will say that I used to go to shows at the old Crocodile ALL the time, and now I only go if I'm really excited about the band. The music from Via Tribunali can be loud, and disrupting during quieter shows. I had to sit in the hallway at a particularly crowded show, and heard the music from VT much more clearly than the show I was playing to hear. VT also doesn't appear to have much in the way of accessible seating (not included in this review since I haven't explored thoroughly, and that should be included in a separate VT review). Sound seems to be similar (how it was before) here, and they still have quite a few good performers coming through. I like coming to shows here better than at Neumos or Chop Suey, the sound experience is better, and they don't turn it up unnecessarily loud. I can't really take benefit from most of their upgrades (seating near the bar is inaccessible, upstairs area is inaccessible...you get my drift). read more

The legendary! There's no bad seat in the house! The tech and staff are all very approachable and friendly. I've read previous reviews on the capacity being crammed at 150 which is false. I know many bands that have sold out the venue which is 475 at full capacity. There's even a balcony that overlooks both the stage and the audience. A great spot to catch a band on the rise. It's supposed to be a place to go for local concerts or live music. However, I am not a fan! It feels a bit like a dive bar but probably more fancier because they actual serve somewhat good pizza! Service was good! Our food and drinks were always delievered right to our table! It was a night there's free music and free admission. I was excited! However, Parking really got me! I thought I didn't mind paying for parking since it's free. But, it was skatchy when people tried to sell you cheaper parking tickets from private parking lot. Be Careful if you go there! read more

The Crocodile wouldn't let me back in to a show because I was "too inebriated" after having two drinks, both of which I bought at their bar. I'm not sure why they decided to not let me back in, but I will never buy tickets for venue again. read more

I have a soft spot for the old Croc. I basically grew up with the Croc. So many fun nights, so many bands, so many new bands, even a few friends bands I saw there. I was scared to death they would be converted into condos. But it bucked the trend, and reopened as a music club, yay! So I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. For now. This Thursday night is the soft open. It officially opens Saturday. Tonight there was no alcohol, so that's half of a review I can not do. Tonight was free, and called "Soundcheck". The percussion sounds great. The treble sounds ok. Vocals a bit weak, but ok. The bass is nonexistent. Hopefully tomorrow they'll fine tune that. And most importantly, have alcohol? The new layout is reminiscent of a smaller Neumos. There's a cool upper balcony with about 4 feet of PERFECT view of the band. I can see that area crowding up quick, since the speaker obscures a good quarter of the view up there. The staircase leading up to it has a really cool collection of posters from the old Croc -- way to respect. It's neat. I can also see how on busy nights the layout may become cumbersome, especially to get up to the balcony, but the main floor seems to allow a bit more capacity since it's opened up with a bar in the back (on the side?). But they got rid of the cozy lounge in the back. Boo. Hoo! And no more cafe. But I rarely ate there anyway. The tickets so far seem expensive from what I've seen of upcoming shows. And Ticketscheister? Why not Brown paper tickets? Or ANYONE else? But I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt with three stars. For now. This review will defintely require a revisting. Thank you for at least re-opening this historic space. Makes me all nostalgic. (Tear forming in eye). Let's see how things go. read more

Inspired by Matt R.'s ROTD today. I thought this place was a Seattle icon, forever burned in the hearts and minds of Seattleites and all the bands that got their starts here?! I'm sad to have seen it go away. I'm happy, though, that I had the opportunity to visit this fabulous venue before it's demise. The cover was a little steep for me, I was seeing a performer that I had no idea of who she was. They wouldn't just allow me to go in and sit at the bar and watch the video monitor. I don't regret it, though. Nope, I don't. It was a good show, not in my range of musical tastes, however. The acoustics were great, they had a decent selection of beer, and the crowd was pretty friendly overall. I shed a single tear for the Crocodile. read more

I suppose and could and maybe even should review The Crocodile Cafe separately, but I won't. So much has changed in the last few years and TCC is gone forever. Fortunately, the new version, while lacking the history, is a far superior place to see live music. But we can talk about the changes and maybe even merge the two space reviews into one in some senses. First of all, most people know by now that the old Croc had tons of legendary shows performed there. Lots of sneak shows--PJs, Beasties, Soundgarden, and some others. It was chosen as the venue of record for a few legendary reunion shows and whatnot. While those nights represented only a few nights over the years the venue was in operation, they conferred a bit of legend onto the status of the club as well. It started to become a place lots of people would hang out at in the hope of seeing something secret and special. Given that it was already a place crowded with scenesters looking to hang out and have a few drinks without paying any attention to the music, this got annoying. Especially back when smoking was allowed indoors. You end up with too many people at a show, too many people at the bar, too many people in the bathroom, too many people blocking the view of the stage, too few of them paying attention, too much smoke, and too much odor. The Croc was a place to see good shows, but it wasn't a fun place to see a show, if that makes sense. And the old layout of the place compounded the problem rather significantly. The live room was probably not even 25% of the floor plan. The stage was squeezed in awkwardly. There were haphazardly assembled booths shoved in where booths didn't need to be...and booths can't fundamentally face a stage, anyway. There was a big honking pole right in the middle of everyone's view of the stage. The floors were sticky. The place reeked. So, yeah, include me out of the club of people who were sorry to see the changes. What's it like now? it's a first-class place to see a small to medium-sized show, is what it's like. The whole front of the house is now the live room. The stage is at full stage height. There's room for plenty of musicians, monitors, and backline. You can move around and bounce around. The house lights are fully functional. The house sound is really good. There's a functional, attractive bar with barricades in place at the back of the live room. The bathrooms are clean and look nice. All the stuff that would fundamentally bug you about a club is remedied here. The ceilings are higher. It's a very comfortable place to take in a performance. There appears to still be a bar in the back, though I didn't pay attention. What's sort of a bummer is what they've done with the main hallway in back--this is just a quibble. Lots of expensive custom painting, lots of expensive custom framing. Feels more like a museum than a cool place to see a show. There's a ton of expensive framing on the west wall, too--lots of old flyers framed and mounted like a battalion of soldiers, perfectly regimented. I can see why they would want to, but if there's anything I miss about the old Croc, it's how indifferent they seemed to be to the layout, they just made do. Clearly, the new regime has forced their will onto the space, and made huge improvements, fixing virtually all of the old problems. But you can tell they designed it from the top down, without letting it just happen, and if they had held back from some of the decorating urges, they might have had the best of both worlds. Still, great place to see a show, and I will be back again and again, and that's 100% more than I could say for the old place. read more

I am heartbroken. When I was 13 years old, I was a shy little Jersey girl who visited Seattle with my parents. They took me to all the places my favorite band (Nirvana) played in Seattle, because my parents are awesome, you see - and when we got to the Crocodile, I was too embarrassed to even go inside. Instead, they took my picture under the marquee, my posture all cranky and affected. If I had known then that I would spend my late teens and early twenties in and out of the Crocodile, happy and fulfilled and (let's be honest here) drunk, I don't think I ever would have believed it. Thank you for all the amazing memories, Crocodile. Inside your snake-y, beehive-y walls, I witnessed some of the best moments in my musical history. The Gossip, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, The Postal Service, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Harvey Danger, Ben Gibbard DJ'ing in the back bar, The Futureheads, Metric, The Twilight Sad, Three Imaginary Girls' Christmas & Valentine's parties...I'll never remember them all. I even saw my boyfriend perform with his band before we knew each other existed. I wanted to grow old in your bar and in front of your stage. It's called Crocodile CAFE, but I've never seen anyone eat anything here. In fact, every time I've been the kitchen has been dark. Either way, it's still a good little venue to see shows. While in the bathroom last night my friend asked me if I looked for needles before I sat down too. (Of course I do!) But, hey, a cool venue isn't complete without the graffiti-ridden walls, condom machines and the possibility of drugs in the bathroom. The bar is an okay place to hang - I would never hang out there unless I was already at the Croc for a show, however. It can get a bit crowded at times - depending on whether it's an all ages show or not. Last night was all ages so the bar was actually quite dead. It's not very cozy or inviting in there. But, the drinks are strong enough that it doesn't really matter. Being 5'3, I appreciate any venue that has a high enough stage so I can see the band. There is that pole, that one frickin' pole, that blocks the stage. It's a really bad spot for a pole. REALLY bad. But, you just gotta weasel yourself into a good spot like I do. The sound system there is surprisingly good, and that's really the most important thing. I do admit I'm pretty spoiled living on Capitol Hill within walking distance to about 5 other venues and find it a bit of a hassle to go ALL the way to Belltown - but really, it's worth it. read more

More like 2.5 stars. If you were a fan of the old croc, like i was, went to many shows over 10 years ago, this is a tough review to write. I loved the old place, even if it had some problems. I liked the pole in the club, I enjoyed the bar in the back..the stools at the cafe were A-ok with me. The new croc is nothing like the old crocodile cafe. They should of renamed it, it has lost all of its charm with the renovations. If you never went to the old croc..you may very much like it. But for a old fart like me, its just not the same..perhaps just another reminder of how seattle is changing. Though I'd consider myself an avid show-goer, somehow I've managed, until now that is, to avoid the new Crocodile. It wasn't necessarily by choice or reason, more of a fate of circumstances that I won't go into at this juncture. Either way, now that I've attended a show here, I have to say, this place is pretty freaking awesome. It's set up is totally different than the Crocodile of yesteryear, more of a modern style bar with lots of industrial style decor. What it loses in nostalgia, it more than makes up for in the ability to provide a good show-going experience (i.e. no huge pillars to block your views). If I were to file a complaint, which I guess I'm about to do, I'd say that at a sold out show, which I was an attendee of the other night, the crowd gets a little overbearing. There's no place for the huddled masses to go to escape the inevitable "crunch." God forbid you should require a drink and/or a bathroom visit, you may or may not be able to squeeze and shimmy your way back to your friends. Obviously, a complaint such as this is beyond the control of the Crocodile staff. They provide the venue, the music, and the booze - I provide my opinion, however unheard it may go. I went to this place last night to see a friend's band play. I like that its all ages and separates youngens from the rest. The drinks, as always in a dive bar type venue, were basic, mixers were crap, but my friend likes that. I had the water, which I loved seeing the pour-your-own stands throughout the place. Happy, hydrated me. Acoustics - having heard Rafe Pearlman in other venues (he opened for Campfire OK), the acoustics here were lack-luster. The Tractor is better and that's not saying much. Now, that said - I still enjoyed the show fully and the people were cool, it was packed and the staff were super awesome and happy faces across the board. Love it! Service and staff and experience were just fine and I had a great time hearing some old music. The ticket prices were super affordable and the will call process smooth. Bring your ID and unless you think it'll sell out, pay at the door. read more

This place is always on fire when it comes to venues. Rock Stars perform here and tonight's menu: SNOOP DOGG! Wut? D, O to tha dbl G! Yay! I love, love HIP HOP! Love Snoop and the whole crew of NWA! C O M P T O N... HH is always great here! Very reasonable. It's not the cleanest place but average like other bars. Of course I like clean but when I go to venues, I don't expect a lot. This place is always, always booked! I come here to Enjoy the artist who's ON and I chill. I can do hippie... Tickets are always reasonable, staff is also always reasonable just don't start SH*T. Na mean??? Just a reminder...it gets super wild crazy and hot in here, and don't be so friendly before concerts then you get so wasted and perhaps even meet a roofie drink. NOT GOOD... Do you like rude staff, microwaved food, bathroom floors littered with toiled paper featuring toilet seats to gag for, and nicotine perfumed concert area? THEN DON'T COME HERE!!! The Crocodile is so unassuming from the outside. There are a few posters, a sign that say "Pizzeria" and two entrances. Were it not for your typical 'going to a rock concert in all black' youngsters and a band truck, I would have walked right past this venue. There was no long line, since the band we went to see is only semi-famous. Perhaps my review would be different if there were hundreds of people clamoring to get in. We were greeted by polite bouncers who checked us in quickly. The Cons: The main confusing part was that there was a bouncer outside by one of the doors, yet it was not the entrance to the concert? The entrance is by the Pizzeria/bar door (to prevent confusion for future guests). There were some issues, which have little to do with the staff: The doors opened 20 minutes late, and the show started 45 minutes late. After that, it was smooth sailing. Or was it? The acoustics were accompanied by humming. My boyfriend and I couldn't figure out if it was the instruments or roadies. Don't drop anything on the floor of the concert space. A lot of beer and "other" spillage, which I wouldn't trust anything other than my boots touching. The Pros: Tickets for this event were $18 (service fee of $9, beware!), so it is fairly priced! This venue is conveniently located in the heart of downtown seattle, so there is ample street and garage parking. If you go just before 8 (usually when the show starts), you can pay under $1 for street parking which becomes free after 8!!! The bathrooms look AND smell clean. Honestly, what rock concert venue have you been to lately that didn't make you want to go to the bathroom and not drink anything before the show starts? You won't have to worry about that at this venue. The air is fresh, as well. Why is that important to note: Most small concert venues smell wrought with cigarettes and/or weed. There was a hint of weed for a moment, but the ventilation system is ace! The layout is intimate AND logical (and would also fit well into a period piece or horror flick): The bouncer using crocodile stamps was next to the concert entrance to the left. There is a water cooler with cups next to a trash can conveniently located next to the bouncer checking one in, so you have no excuse if you become a sloippy drunk, here. The bar and kitchen were to the right, with ample seating and standing space. You could watch your pizza cooked in front of you (did I mention it was wood fire pizza?) We sat near the bar and I observed 3 large screen TVs featuring muted music videos, which helped entertain us for a while before the show. Entering the concert space was a matter of filing in. No pushing or shoving. The staff had two bouncers along the way (to slow foot traffic down, and insinuate crowd control? Genius!) double checking one's wrist for the crocodile sticker, and a few silent bouncers observing people as they walked in. The concert space itself had a bench along the wall to the left of the stage, standing room in front of the bar to the center, and railing to the right which separated those who wished to watch far off to the side and avoid the crowd AND use the railing as a cup holder. The stage was a small space, but long enough that each member of the band had enough space to move freely and comfortably (headbang at one's will). Above that space was a balcony for people who REALLY wish to avoid that 'center stage crowd'. I mentioned some sound issues earlier, but overall it was a great experience to be so close to the artists (From whatever part of the concert space, since one is approx. no further than 30 feet away regardless of where they sit or stand). The music reverberates through one's system. It's quite a visceral experience! And now for the BEST part (For foodies): You can bring your food and drink purchased at the bar into the concert space. What does this mean for you (me)? You can eat pizza on the bench to the left while you watch live music. It doesn't get better than that. But the gift keeps on giving: The staff are attentive, friendly and make great pizza. The staff are music lovers as well, and dress as concert-goers, so there's a "one of us" vibe to them. As I mentioned earlier the pizza is prepared with love in a wood-fire oven. Its ready in under 10 minutes and brought immediately to the person who ordered it, without fail. There is enough tomato-y sauce, so you get a lot of flavor in every bite, the pepperoni is small but crisp and the cheese is mozzarella...need I say more? They have a build-your-own and other delicious selections, but I'm a Classic Pepperoni lady. It doesn't hurt that Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains have all performed in this very space. Obviously I'm writing a review of The Crocodile just to keep my fingers hot. It's been reviewed over a hundred times by folks who "grew up here." I've been once. I had a good time. Unfortch they have a teevee or two in the music venue part of the place. This teevee shows you which shows are coming up which is helpful, but it also draws my poor helpless attention to it a lot. "What's that shifting images on a screen? MUST WATCH." Grr. The sound was good. The drinks were fine. The pizza was good. I liked the big booths and art on the walls. read more

Saw Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears last night. The bar setup kinda sucks if the venue is full, because you literally have to push and slide your way through a mob to get a drink. If you go around the corner to the other (less crowded) bar you can't hear or see the music at all. This show in particular was SO oversold it was ridiculous. You couldn't move in the place! People were getting rude and pissed off at each other because it was just so damn crowded. I witnessed the bouncer allow 5 girls in without tickets for $40 in cash. Total douche move considering how packed the place was. This place has some potential, and the ideal capacity crowd of around 500 is a great size for an intimate show. Problem is the limit they set on ticket sales which can potentially pack the place like sardines which really takes away from your experience. Shitbox Sodo can learn something from the Crocodile! Went here for the first time to see Anuhea perform and had a wonderful time. Upon arrival, the bouncers were genuinely nice and friendly. I went during an all ages show and they packed all the annoying kids upstairs away from the 21+ section. The venue is small but even though it was a sold out show, it was not over capacity making it very comfortable for everyone to enjoy the music. There was free water and the crowd was mature and respectful, no obnoxious drunk idiots. Overall this is my new favorite venue for music! read more

This venue was really chill. Came here to see Esta and Iamnobodi spin several tracks and the sound was just phenomenal. It wasn't too crowded, however it did get a little warm after several hours, even though the doors were open. While waiting, we grabbed some pizza and it was delish! We ordered the supreme and it came out about 10 mins after we placed our order. The seating in the restaurant was very comfortable and the deco was beautiful. They also have a photobooth to take some silly flicks with friends! I wouldn't mind coming here again for the pizza! read more

CROCODILE PASSES THE SHORT GIRL TEST. On 10/07 I wrote a quick comment on the old Crocodile to say its my favorite place to hang out. Last night I went to the soft opening (a free show with local bands to test the sound) and I was absolutely giddy over the new look. I'm short. At 5ft tall, it can be tough to see & enjoy shows at several venues but Crocodile passed the short girl test. I roamed the club and had no problem seeing the stage. When we walked into the venue, mid tour, we all had the same reaction "ok, this is one of those GOOD venues"- and not only a good one, a cool one. The walls were lined with art from a local artist and the space was huge. We were greeted by the friendly stage manager who was very accommodating with guest list spots. The sound was GREAT, and the engineer was helpful in dealing some technical difficulties on my end and eased us through the process quickly and efficiently. The crowd was awesome and probably because the venue had just begun (recently before our show) to allow attendees under the age of 18 to attend in a special section. Clearly these people want EVERYONE to enjoy the show, as they should. Just outside the entrance of the venue is their bar with a brick (?) oven for pizzas. I did have to wait 10 minutes for my 'za but for $5 it was worth it! For just a 5-spot, you can get a personal sized pizza with unlimited toppings of the standard variety (pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, garlic, olives, peppers, etc) - just FIVE bucks for all that! The staff and sound at the Crocodile were excellent and I look forward to my next visit. read more

I dig this place and here are some reasons why: 1. Liza Danger is the best waitress ever. 2. Their pizza is amazing AND I love the fact that you get to choose all the toppings that you want without any additional charge. 3. They have a great atmosphere for a chill Tuesday night dinner, which is just what I wanted. 4. Booths are better than tables, and we got a booth, so I was happy. The Crocodile - Music Venues Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Awesome venue! I'm so glad the Crocodile is back. There are two stages, if you can call the other one a stage. One is the big one with an open floor space and a sectioned off area for All Ages shows (read: kiddie pool). The other "stage" is in the back where the pizza oven is. Unfortunately that means, you're stuck inside with the sweaty bodies and the pizza oven smoke and the cigarette smoke that's trailing inside from the nearby front door. Come hang out here if you bring your own O2 tank. Overall, it's just a really chill place with the typical dive stuff like sticky floors, surly but obliging bartenders, and local awesome bands galore. It's Seattle. Crocodile is Seattle. Seattle is Crocodile. Love. read more

Having never been to the Crocodile before, I can't offer any comparison between old and new, nor did I really explore the venue very much, so this review is going to be sadly unhelpful. However, I cannot say enough good things about their wonderful sound system! This is usually a big issue for me, as sound systems either tend to be crackly and quiet so that I can't hear - or bassy and loud, which makes my sensitive ear physically hurt. By the end of the night, I had wiggled my way up to the stage and was standing directly in front of a floor speaker with no pain whatsoever. One downside was a sold-out crowd packed tightly on the floor, with little or no ventilation. I felt faint a few times and really wished they had some sort of fan or a/c system, but it being Seattle, I can see why they don't bother. read more

The Crocodile has a nice layout, decor, and the sound wasn't too bad. However, I tried to order a drink but the bartender did not have an ingredient and was unable to make it. He did not mention that the front bar could make it for me. I figured that out when I decided to check out the front area for some food. The pizza was not very good especially for the price. The ingredients were pretty much sliding off the crust. Like most venues in Seattle, it was very warm. It baffles me that a place that expects a packed room wouldn't have air conditioning or some kind of cooling system. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars if I could. Yes, I had been to many shows at the "old" Crocodile. And yes, it was my favorite venue in Seattle. Last night I went to see Dr. Dog. This was my first visit to the "new" Crocodile. I was thoroughly unimpressed, for the following reasons: 1) The place is just one big room now (like a typical concert venue), and you cannot go in without a ticket. This may sound weird to all you who never had a chance to go to the old crocodile, but that was a huge bonus for me. You could just go in and eat and drink and then if you liked the band you heard, you could buy a ticket and head in to the other room. 2) There is no food! The food at the Crocodile was great and I miss it. 3) There are no tables to sit down at anymore. Just a big bar along the window. It sucks. 4) Since it seems like they attempted to make the place bigger to accommodate more people, it's also much more difficult to see the band playing. 5) It is NOT easier to access the bar. Sure, before you had to wait and it got crowded. BUT....... there was the option of SITTING and waiting, at least. OK, there is one good thing about the new place: There are no longer beams in the way. But I would stand behind a beam any day to have my old Croc back. Come on, people! What happened? read more

The last time I was at the Croc the brother in law of the girl I was dating gave us tickets to an Interpol show, and we both left talking about how much more we liked that band the Killers. So, a friend and I have a bit of a debate about the Croc. Several years ago, at their New Years party, she decided that she couldn't wait in line for the women's bathroom, so she tried to use the men's. A security guard stopped her. But, after he turned his back, she snuck in. As she was leaving the men's room though, the security guy caught her and threw her out. Now, her point is that the line to the women's bathroom was too long (it was a sold out New Years Party, after all), and that she REALLY needed to go. And, thus, it was unreasonable for the guard to throw her out. And, she has refused to go back since. My point is that, if she was drunk enough to be willing to use the men's bathroom, she was probably drunk enough that the guard could have found any number of reasons to throw her out. Anyhow, I'll let you decide who's right... Talk amongst yourselves. In the meantime, I think it bears mentioning that the Croc is possibly my favorite venue to see a band. Intimate and nicely arranged (I like the option of going to the back bar to relax, hanging in the front area to talk or watching the show in the main area); this venue has had a large number of my favorite bands play. I've seen everyone from the Divorce, to the Raveonettes, to the Long Winters, to Beirut (Last night! Excellent show!) here, and enjoyed every show. I came out to The Crocodile last Sunday for the Dengue Fever show. My first time there. I arrived about 20 minutes before 9pm and was able to get parking right in front of the club. My lucky night. I didn't check out the restaurant section, although I've been there a couple times before. 1. Bartender service was good- $5 for beer (typical price for most concert venues). I didn't have to wait long to get a beer and the show was full not packed. 2. You can drink and hear the music. My first and second time seeing a concert in Seattle, I was herded to only drinking in certain spots where you couldn't hear the music (Paramount and Deck the Hall Ball at WaMu theater). I was greatly disappointed! 3. I'm impressed that the Croc showed Dengue Fever. I love the atmosphere and the laid back vibe. Overall, great venue to see a show. read more

Disclaimer: I have never been to the old Crocodile. The new Crocodile is about average in terms of venue spaces....nothing really stood out to me as being particularly great....but it's definitely not bad either. Came on a Saturday night with a friend who had an extra ticket to the Heartless Bastards -- they weren't on until 11:30 so we hit the Cyclops in the meantime and came back. When we re-entered, the place was packed -- tons of people crowded in, most throwing drunken elbows every which way. The show started right about 11:30, rockin music, good vibe, LOUD! :-) While waiting for the band to come on, it was unbearably stifling in the space -- really humid. Someone had the good sense to turn air on (or just open a window or the door!), thank you to whoever did that! We didn't want to crush through the crowd for drinks, so I can't comment on the bar sitch. The random tables scattered around were...weird. They should be more off to the side than smack-dab in the middle of the floor. Overall: solid 3. Open space, really clean, not a bad venue for live music but nothing super-special.
