This was my 2nd bad experience at Cotillion. The first one: We had birthday party in summer. The air conditioner was broken and the floor was so slippery due to humidity, we c'd not even walk. It was a total fiasco among friends. Our 2nd experience: Yesterday on April 8, 2017 we had funeral lunch at 12 noon. When we arrived at 12 noon the hall was not even ready. There were two customers still eating in the hall. No place for waiting room. We ordered for 25 to 35 people. Only two tables with 4 chairs were available. We were promised for 3 dishes of vegetables and chicken tika with nan daal and rice, The food was not enough. every other minute we had to request for food. some times no one was available to listen our complain. He did chrge us for 46 people and the service was for less than 20 people. We hope this was our last visit at Cotillion. read more

Decent food and service. Very ignorant owner and manager. We had a party which was upstairs in the restaurant and next to us in a separate hall was a wedding. The DJ was soooo loud we could not even make a conversation or have a simple talk. When I asked the owner and Manager about this I was informed it is a party hall that is old and they have no sound proofing. I just wanted them to acknowledge the noice problem and that they should be forthcoming about the issue with customer's but I never received a apology or acceptance of the problem. Deeeeelicious! Visited a friend in Long Island all the way from Miami. She brought me here for lunch, and boy, don't I wish I could get this food back home. The service was great and the dishes were exceptional. I would definitely recommend the lamb chops and the naan breads. read more

I started working in Jericho and ever since this restaurant has popped up on my yelp feed...so I am a huge fan of Indian food...I haven't found a place in the local area that I would call my favorite but Akbar near the Roosevelt field mall is really good and super clean. Anyway...the cotillion was ok. It wasn't the best and it wasn't the worst I ever had. We ordered the typical "were American going out for Indian dishes" so we got Tika Masala, and order of garlic naan bread, vegetable curry and some rice. The Tika Masala was good, really good actually. The Garlic naan was also good. Vegetable curry was meh...rice is rice. The overall cleanliness of this place grossed me out, and the setup was super weird. I've been to restaurants attached to hotels before...not the biggest fan but I didn't know that going into this. After we pulled up it was too late to leave, we were both hungry. Walking into the restaurant initially you walk into a big empty room, almost what a hotel lobby looks like. Super weird. Then we were greeted by a waiter and were brought to our seats. The lights in the restaurant were on a dimmer which is a nice feature but when the dimmer and the LED bulbs are not compatible and they flash in your eyes, it makes it very hard to see and you feel as if you are in a dance club. We were the only American people in the restaurant so that is usually a good sign that the food is good, which it was. Clean up the restaurant a little and don't make it so awkward for people when they walk in. I would go back, but for take out only and would probably only get the Tika Masala and naan. read more

Tried Salt and Pepper fish, Chicken Lollypop and Chilli Garlic Fried Rice. Salt and Pepper fish was awesome, probably the best I have had. Chicken Lollypop was better than other restaurants nearby. The quantity was good enough for 2 people. Overall very good place for food. read more

I never post any reviews until I feel the urge to do that. We had our baby shower celebration at Cotillion. We did check out many venues around Long Island but we decided over Cotillion. First of all, I should say the people who work there are super humble and cooperative in terms of your requirements and your choice. They would try to make you feel comfortable with whatever you wish for and they will list down the options. Our guests had a blast at the banquet of Cotillion and food was awesome. Our family and friends were happy with all the services provided by Cotillion staff and quality was perfect.All guests raved about how good the food was! They made our event memorable! I would recommend it to anyone and in future would surely consider Cotillion first for any event! read more

The restaurant has a interior nice but the customer service is so poor because if you have to call person for each and everything which to my mind isn't a great thing. Don't go on Monday because they don't serve Chinese and Thai food on that day which I didn't get, how could you not serve those food which contributes the most in fame of your restaurant. If u like a broken down wannabe Indian place to dine in, with walls cracking and the exterior looking like a bad spackling and painting job, then this place is for u. These people are just money, money, money !!! We had booked the hall inside for a birthday party for 45 people. It was in June and the manager was pushing us more to have it in the outside space. We did not want to as that weekend was 90deg outside and the party consisted of infant, toddlers and more kids. So, we gave advance for the hall inside and everything was agreed, invited guests.. the evening before the party we called them to confirm if everything is ready and decorated... they kept telling don't know , their manager is busy.. and finally after several tries spoke to manager to realize, by mistake they had booked the hall inside for a party of 300 and offered us the outside space.. as its easier to move 45-50 people outside than moving the other party !!! We said we are cancelling our party.. had to call up all guests to let them know the change of venue.. but the worst was the stress we went through to get another place in the last minute... read more

My favorite Indian place on LI. The restaurant is right next to the catering hall and you get to see all the beautiful saris and enjoy the fun music. It's very clean, nice decor and servers were super nice. We starts out with paneer pakora and cashed nut roll. They were delicious, not dried out like some places, and large portioned! I had chicken tikka masala and my husband the curry. Again, really well seasoned and well portioned. Most Indian places are too afraid to season their food, but here it's well done. The garlic naan is also a must. we never have enough left over Indian to take home, but we do here. We couldn't help it, we ordered kulfi and it too was sooo good (not too sweet like other places). FOOD POISONING! Easily the worst dining experience I've ever had. We get seated - no menu for 15 mins, we order drinks, nothing for another 20 until we asked where the drinks were. The food was ALL deep fried - and came out of order, soup came after main dish? Nothing made sense. Now this wouldn't be bad if the food was still good. But no, even that was horrendous. The chilli lamb tasted gamey and dirty like it had been sitting around for days and then Hakka noodles were salty and flavorless - we sent both back, the ginger chicken tasteless and salty. I must say that the food is Delicious!!! the best Indian/indo-Chinese you will ever taste. It's a very cozy & friendly place. Good decor! Must try items...chili garlic chicken, veg. Manchow soup, spicy lamb chops, goat biryani, fish curry, Palak pander & kulfi is out of this world. Of course, we were group of 15, so we had the most amazing time enjoying the dishes!!!! My wife and I love desi Chinese (Indo-Pak-Chinese fusion), and found this place after being tired of our usual hangs. It was late Thu night and no event going on at the catering hall that this place primarily is. That's probably why we were the only patrons; by the end of the night, we were so glad that we shrugged that off! The decor is a tad bit pastel-y and dated in the restaurant, but everything was clean and you could sense a bit of class behind the age. We ordered Lollypop Chicken for appetizer and Manchurian and Szechuan Chicken as main courses. The waiter, Gaggan (sp?) was very well-spoken and helpful in ordering, and brought the appetizer out quickly. It was beautifully arranged, with a lightly sautéed onion and spicy gravy that was amazing. The entrees were amazing. My wife couldn't stop raving about the softness of the Manchurian meatballs and my Szechuan was spiced as sharply as I had requested. The rice was very soft and served in a beautiful earthen clay pot with crumbled fried onions for a both of crunchiness. The quantity was so much that we ended up having the leftovers for most of our dinner the next night! So an appetizer and a single entree is enough for two hearty appetites. Review is just for food as we ordered in.. food is horrible .. if you've eaten Indian Chinese before then you would know that you can make better than this for sure. The schezwan hakka noodles equals to Maggi noodles + ketchup. The schezwan fried rice = rice + veggies + ketchup. Food is super deep fried even where it doesnt need to. This place is very weird, its a combination of a catering hall, bar , restaurant and hotel SMH. First its nearly impossible to find because you dont see a sign or anything. Next the service, its terrible! You walk in and if you are not indian and dressed in Indian style clothes you are made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The waiters speak no english whatsoever. i was hoping at least the food was good to salvage the review, but it was terrible. Greasy not cooked properly and ended up throwing it out. Avoid this place, this place shouldnt be open. jericho has many good indian restaurants and this one is not one! read more
