Kitchen , rite next to our table

First and foremost, Place is not as depicted in the pictures. Menu was too long and confusing. We took lot of time to identify the dishes. Veg and Non veg Appetizers were not fresh, it was felt as served from frozen. Entree's were better but still dint felt fresh. Of all the items we ordered Chicken biryani, Dal tadka were decent. Salt lassi was very salty, couldn't even drink ( after complaint they changed it to more diluted). Most of the dishes were lacking authentic Indian food tastes. Person attending us was nice and very courteous. We were treated with free deserts and discounts. Place is little pricey for the quality of the food. Overall felt the place is overrated.

I have nothing but praise for the Cotillion! Normally if I'm eating Indian cuisine, it's some where in Queens. My experiences with Indian cuisine here on Long Island have been pretty poor. The food tends to be over priced, small quantities and lack of spice. Today I ordered the lunch special from the Cotillion and was very impressed. The portion size was large, had the perfect amount of spices and the food just tasted incredibly fresh! The fact that they include a small dessert just seals the deal! If you come here, say yes to dessert and order the Gulab Jamun!

This is the restaurant I go to for Kerala food. Do try the other things as well, especially the mango salad.

A lovely and delicious dinner on Sunday. Salmon tikka and an eggplant dish. Our server was helpful, polite. Easy parking.

We were all women and luckily able to squeeze into a table for 4 in the alcove area. Like I said, it was a bit busy so service was slow. I had to ask the waiter to come and take our order and even then it took a bit for our order to come out. As we were there for a group lunch, the wait didn't bother us too much. We all opted for the lunch special which is a decent deal, $15 for an app and entree. I got the ginger salad and the drunken noodles with chicken. The salad was tasty but overdressed, I wished I had asked for the dressing on the side. The drunken noodles were not too spicy and a bit too sweet for my taste. I feel they used the same sauce as the pad see ew and added a little spice to make it the drunken noodle. We also ordered the mango sticky rice. They only had one left so we shared it amongst the 5 of us. We were taken aback by the green color of the rice but the color didn't add any strange flavor. Would i return? Based on the dishes I had I don't know. It's a cute place and a good lunch deal so maybe, but I will definitely try other dishes, maybe one of the curries?

No wait time for anything and the waiter was very courteous and welcoming! I dont like spice so I always ask for whatever I order to be made very mild, same with Indian food, I love the flavor without the heat! They are also very accommodating here and what I ordered for both visits were absolutely delicious! The chicken dish I ordered is made with potatoes, onions, peanuts and coconut milk. It was made perfectly! UThai Bistro to me is a hidden gem, tucked away in a shopping plaza so plenty of parking. Best way to describe it is Authentic Thai! Go and experience, you'll keep returning for more, like me!!

I found this spot as I was looking for a Thai restaurant in Hicksville and it had great reviews…read more Google was saying that reservations were recommended but the times my friend and I tried calling (the day before), no one ever picked up so my friend and I just showed up on a Thursday afternoon hoping reservations weren't needed. By the way, their website does not work. Anyway, we ended up being the only people eating in for the 2 hours that we were there. I don't know if they weren't busy because it was a weekday and gloomy weather outside but our server was very friendly/sweet/welcoming and we were both happy with our meals and drinks! There is a small free parking lot behind the restaurant. I almost missed the entrance to the lot but it's literally right next to the restaurant, which is a small cute looking stand alone house. There were tables out front but the day we went it was a little chilly/rainy so we opted to sit inside. There were a few tables inside and even a small bar so we just sat in a booth. The overall decor inside was very cute! There's also a bathroom in the back. I ordered the Lunch Special: Pad See Ew with Shrimp and a Thai Iced Tea. I forgot what my friend ordered but she really liked it and said it had a home-cooked meal feel to it which was a positive thing. My food was also delicious though a bit on the smaller portion size and it came with a small salad (you can choose the salad or Tom Yum Soup) and a small spring roll. The Lunch Special Menu is only available Monday to Friday 11:30AM-3:00PM except holidays. I had a great time catching up with my friend while enjoying a delicious meal/drink and would definitely be returning soon!

I couldn't get a refund because the restaurant had already accepted my order -- and since I was the one who cancelled, Uber Eats treated it as a voluntary cancellation. No refund. 3.5 Stars for their lunch specials!…read more This was our first visit, and we only ordered a salad and two lunch specials. I would definitely come back to try other items from their regular menu. I found the entrees in the lunch special a little skimpy. These are the dishes we shared: -- Papaya Salad ($12): this is from their regular menu, and I thought it was excellent! Well balanced and so tasty! -- Drunken Noodles w.Beef (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Soup, which was a Tom Yum Soup. The Soup was very spicy but the Drunken Noodles were very mild; almost bland. It definitely needed more flavors and wok hei, but still ok. -- Massaman Curry w.Shrimp (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Salad, which came with a Peanut sauce. The Salad was actually pretty good; the peanut sauce was slightly sweet. The Massaman Curry w.Shrimp was very weak in flavor and only came with 3 little shrimps. I would suggest you order a different protein and skip the shrimp. Customer service was good; albeit there was nobody to greet us when we first arrived, so we just seated ourselves. But service got better. They didn't rush us to order and let us linger after we finished eating. But after a while, we were asked to leave since they close the restaurant in between the lunch and dinner service (between 3:30-4:30pm). Sorry, we were not aware of this! All in all, a decent first experience. Next time, I'd skip the lunch specials and just order off their regular menu.
