Take out or sit down for Indian food right in the village of Syosset. You can see many of the dishes in warming servers to the right of the register. There is a kitchen in the back for other dishes and Naan. Plain is delicious but many people also get garlic Naan. Saag paneer is always available and one of my must haves when there. They make two homemade drinks waiting to go in the refrigerator... one is a mango based smoothie, the other a yogurt with lychee nut fruit cut up into it. What a great find in syosset! Never did I expect to find this level of Indian food in this neighborhood I'm blown away with the flavor of every dish here. We've dined in for dinner and ordered pick up to the house and every time it's been a hit with both our family and friends. They are slightly over priced for the quantity they provide but everyone working is always really friendly. I wish they could improve their portions sizes! read more

Had the pleasure of eating here earlier this week. We started our journey with a mango lasse and a lychee lasse. We had the deliciously spicy fried cauliflower, which I would suggest eating last because the spice lingered. The chicken kebab was flavorful, moist and cooked to perfection. I'm not usually a fan of truffle oil but the mushroom naan was really yummy, as was the garlic naan. We also shared a chicken wrap, so colorful and bursting with flavor. My favorite was the paneer, cottage cheese that resembles tofu. Can't go wrong with any of their sauces. The meal ended with a saffron and I believe rosemary rice pudding and another cottage cheese type dessert with pistachios. Come and try this family owned business. My husband and I recently traveled to India and have been craving some authentic Indian food. We were nearby and saw this place had good reviews, and they did not disappoint! It truly brought us right back to India! The girl behind the counter was the sweetest and made great recommendations. The samosas were perfect! We had lamb masala, butter chicken, and garlic naan. Not sure what happened, but food was completely different today than last week. Paneer tikka masala was covered and surrounded in a large amount of oil. Every bite today tasted oily and coated your tongue. I also have to add the curry lacked favor today, it was very bland tasting for a curry. Unfortunately I won't return a 3rd time. RECOMMENDED I'm back to writing this year after enjoying retirement and launching a new social group in 2022. Let's go! Spice Hub is a very casual and non-descript storefront restaurant just north of the LIRR station on Jackson Avenue in Syosset where I hosted a dinner for my dining group on January 5, 2023. You can park in the LIRR lot (being careful about parking signs, of course) and access this restaurant from the rear. The restaurant seats about 16 people and the menu is very limited and, unlike most Indian restaurants, it is really not a place for vegetarians. However, prices are very wallet-friendly. The restaurant does not have a liquor license but allows diners to bring wine or beer. In this regard, the deli a few storefronts south sells cold beer. The friendly owner greeted me upon arrival and my fellow diners arrived shortly. Service was pleasant and attentive and we did not feel neglected, despite the large volume of takeout orders as we sat. Each of my four companions enjoyed the Samosas. They were greaseless, well-seasoned and delivered a hot kick. I enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala, a version that compared favorably to the great versions served at more established restaurants like Akbar in GC. I loved that the dish had a lot of "gravy" to coat my Basmati Rice. The white meat Chicken was well cooked, tender and well-seasoned. My companions enjoyed the Karachi Chicken. The Naan, Butter and Garlic, were good but more crisp than puffy. Thus concluded a good Indian meal. BOTTOM LINE: Spice Hub, despite its limited menu, is a worthy destination for good Indian food. read more

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place! I tried this place by chance and had no idea it was a new spot. I was surprised to be greeted as soon as I walked in the door by the friendliest people who showed me their recommendations and showed me around the restaurant. They have an open concept kitchen where you can watch them cook and make their fresh made naan from dough to tandoor to plate. I got a paneer karahi bowl with white rice and garlic naan. The revamp of this commercial space is incredible! Raj G. the prop did a fantastic job making this venue comfortable and a clean enviornment. The kitchen is open and surrounded by glass so you can see the magic being made. They have 2 large Tandori ovens for the naan and skewers of meat. Bon G. and I chose some old standards to try the food. We got 2 Samosas, perfectly cooked with no greasy feel and stuffed to the brim! I checked out the different sauces and they looked great. We got the Chicken Tikka Masala and it was perfect...sauce was heavenly and chicken tender and juicy. Bon chose the Lamb Tikka..the large cubes of lamb were coated with spices that accentuated the taste after spending time in the Tandori oven. We use the Chili garlic naan to dip into the sauces and to place pieces of lamb or chicken on them and devoured every bite. I ordered take out first time there. The chicken tika masala, samosa, Brussels sprouts and garlic naan were ok. We were unpleasantly surprised that the tika masala did not come with rice. Most other Indian restaurants provides a small container of rice. The Brussels sprouts we're sitting on top of raw cabbage. We thought it was full of Brussels sprouts. I called earlier that day find out a little bit about the restaurant. Originally, I had more people planned to come. This was for my birthday. We planned to go someplace in Hicksville, which is a very big area for Indian food however decided on this wonderful experience I explained that my wife was not a very big Indian food person, and my son who was autistic on top of the scale how there outlook for Indian food was not in my best interest lol however, the young lady told me that she would take care of everything reluctantly my wife ordered however the woman had told my wife and my son that had called in advance and had planned something out. My wife and my son and myself would blown away with the flavors of the food that were unstable flavors from this absolutely wonderful experience. I don't think I've had such fantastic experience with Indian food. It was perfect. The ownership is all family and are on top of everyone that you need in this very small mostly takeout but very well set up as a restaurant highly highly recommended if you have some special needs before you go give them a call. This fast casual Indian place is really awesome and a great value. I've been here a couple times while in town visiting family and really enjoyed all the dishes I had, including chicken and vegetarian options. This is a no-frills dining experience with a super casual atmosphere. When you enter it looks like a fast food place with ordering at the counter, and everything is served with plastic dishes and utensils. However, the food is very tasty and the service is attentive and polite. We finished our meals and ordered more to take out; that's usually a good sign where we are concerned. Spice hubs food is amazing! Portions are great. We ate there and food was so good we took more to go. Chole bhature are so delish. Love that the bhature is not oily. The chole have so much flavor. I will start with I really don't know Indian food- I know I like it but please don't ask me names or ingredients- generally I go with someone and they do the ordering. But I've been driving/walking past this place for a month and the Yummy smells were just too much I couldn't wait for my bestie to be available. So I ventured in. Yum yumity yum yum! big chunks of really tender lamb in I think tomato based sauce with just the right amount of spice - really generous portion, huge slab of garlic naan and three little containers of sauce (green spicy, brown sweet and white tangy) The sign says IndoFusion if that helps you. The menu could have a bit more explanation but they are super friendly so just Ask. The kitchen has a glass wall/window so you can watch the magic. The take out container is nice and substantial- it will handle a microwave reheat- if you have any leftovers. Entrance front and rear- better parking back there. I'm not a fine connoisseur of Indian cuisine, but I know delicious and well-made food! The Spice Hub is a great place for a casual lunch or dinner, or for take out. The location is very clean, and the relatively simple menu provides just enough delicious options to choose from. We had the Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masalla rice bowls with garlic Naan. Both dishes were excellent and very flavorful. Plenty of big chunks of white meat chicken, and cheese curd cubes on each dish. The Naan, which is always made to order, was the prefect fluffy yet crispy consistency. One order is plenty for 2 people! The gentleman who took my order over the phone was so sweet and helpful. The food smelt amazingggg on the drive home and we couldn't wait to eat. Everything was really tasty and flavorful. I think i actually preferred my boyfriends curry chicken but my chicken tikka was also really good. My only issue was that the chicken bowls barely had any sauce so the rice was kinda of just dry and plain underneath the chicken. No sauce also means nothing to dip the delicious naan in! So we will definitely go back and try again but would probably just get the meal where the rice comes separately and ask for extra sauce. I also thought it was very affordable. We got the two chicken bowls, brussels, naans, and samosas for i believe under $50. I tried a different place a few weeks prior and just one meal, naan and a samosa was $46. So even if they charged for extra sauce ide be fine with that as it was delicious! They were so friendly I'm sure they would accommodate! read more

I drove all the way from Port Jeff to try this restaurant to treat my mother for Mothers Day and I was not disappointed. I ordered take out and was amazed that the food was still warm by the time I got home. Ordered the lamb chops, butter chicken, papdi chaat naan and was suggested the gulab Jamoon. Everything was amazing! I was worried about the chops as they are usually hit or miss but these were amazing. 3 double chops in the order!! Everything was so tasty and better than any restaurant in hicksville! Definitely the best Indian Restaurant on Long Island hands down!! I search for new Indian spots to eat and this is comparable to the best spots in Manhattan like kebab aur Sherab. I will def go back and dine in next time.
