I'm in this area quite often, so I was happy to see a new Indian restaurant had just opened! There aren't many Indian restaurants in this area, and I was looking forward to visiting Luxe. I ordered takeout on a random weekday afternoon. There was absolutely nobody in the restaurant except one young lady in the front and one person in the kitchen. The young lady in front was really sweet and kind. I wanted to try something that was more authentic, so I asked her what she would eat. She recommended a specific chicken dish, and I ordered it prepared the way she would eat it, and requested very spicy. Here's what I ordered: - Chicken Karahi ($17): Recommended by the young lady named Suman! Of the two dishes I ordered, this was definitely the better dish. However, there were two issues: this dish wasn't spicy at all, even though I asked for very spicy. Also, the chicken came in big chunks, making the chicken itself very bland and not tender. Smaller pieces would have been seasoned more adequately, and this needed to be simmered for a longer time. (3/5) - Lamb Korma ($24): Not on their regular menu but they'll make it for you if asked. I've always loved this dish from other Indian restaurants, so ordered it at Luxe. Again, two issues: not spicy at all, even though I asked for very spicy, and the lamb came in huge chunks, was under seasoned, and wasn't simmered long enough; resulting in hard, huge chunks of meat. (2/5) Instead of rushing to cook these dishes, both dishes should have been simmered for a longer time. I don't mind waiting for excellent food. Rushed preparation doesn't do anyone any favors. Would I give Luxe another chance? Sure, why not. But I'll wait a little while so Luxe can overcome their growing pains; they've only been open for a few months. Came for an early lunch with a friend and for most of the time we were there we were their only customers. The service was outstanding and for the most part the food was as well. We had two vegetarian dishes and I enjoyed both. I can't do too much spice, but they were flavorful and delicious. Not the best naan I've had and the cilantro rice was just ok. For dessert we got rice pudding with the dough ball and that was very good. I would def return and recommend. read more

I'm really disappointed with how Luxe handled our reservation. We booked through Yelp in advance, only to receive a call the morning of saying they were "sold out" and that they don't actually take Yelp reservations. If that's the case, then why have Yelp reservations enabled at all? It wastes customers' time and creates expectations the restaurant clearly has no intention of honoring. When I called to see if there was any reasonable solution, I was told that if we showed up for a half hour window, we might be able to eat. That's not a realistic or respectful option -- especially for a reservation that was already confirmed. Things happen, but the way this was handled felt dismissive and poorly managed. If you don't honor third-party reservations, turn them off. Simple as that. Unfortunately, this experience alone is enough to make me think twice about trying Luxe. read more

I'm giving 2 stars because the food was okay but let's begin.... 1) we got there, got seated, and we are traveling with my family and not to mention my dad who is handicapped. We had settled in, and when asked for either regular or tap water, we had specifically requested for tap water where then they decided to bring distilled water instead. In my head I thought okay, like most other Indian restaurants who use a different bottle we assumed the tap water was in the bottle without realizing they didn't listen to us and charged us for 3 bottles. Then, about 10 minutes in they requested we pick up our stuff and move over to another table bc a party of 30 had just booked and they had specifically asked for the back tables which to me is unprofessional considering that we have a handicapped person with us. 2) when asked what we wanted to drink, my husband had requested a bourbon and the waitress had no idea what he was talking about. So he walked with her to the bar and showed her what the bourbons were. He had asked for one cube with the drink and let's just say that did not go well either. She didn't know what bourbon was and called it "burn bum" on our receipt. 3) one of the glasses broke the second she placed a spoon in the glass 4) service was not good 5) place smelled when we walked in and it did not smell like Indian food Overall, I understand it's a new place but I've been to so many places new spots that have just opened up and they have a lot of improvements they need to make. read more

I live in the area and have been passing this place since it opened. I decided to go in for an early dinner with my adult children and their friend. The place is very nice and the food was amazing! We ordered several apps and a few entrees. The service was excellent and the staff attentive. The only thing I didn't like was the mojito. The staff tried to make it so that I would like it. I appreciated it and latter realized that I like it with sugar cane and lots of lime- my kids said that it's Cuban style I was missing and they thought the drink was fine. I took my Dad here as first time visiting this restaurant and food was amazing and service just as good. We had South Indian chicken curry, kadai chicken, and onion kulcha to start and everything was top notch. Definitely recommend worth trying this new place. read more

This restaurant is located in a strip mall and it nicely decorated. The waitress was very sociable and helpful. We found their Formosas to be tasty with assorted sauces. The tandoori wings were spicy and tasty too. For some reason we had to wait for our meals and they came out separately which made the initial one to be cold. The rice came out last! Like 10 minutes after the food was on the table. My tandoori mixed grill was totally overcooked and dry. The lentil dish was tasteless. My wife's chicken dish was also overcooked and hard to eat. Salad with lunch special was a slice of onion and 2 slices of cucumber. No sauces were served with food. We had to sit at the bar for drink specials although restaurant was empty. Drove past last night and was curious to check it out -- and what a treat it was! Not only is the food incredibly flavorful and fresh, but the owner and his staff are more accommodating and hospitable than anything I'd ever experienced at a restaurant. The owner, Raj, is such a nice guy and you can see that he is truly passionate about his restaurant and making sure his patrons have a top-notch experience.
