I have eaten at this restaurant twice. The menu does not have the dishes I am accustomed to seeing on the menu at an Indian restaurant. The business is family owned and run by the owner, his wife, and their son. Knowing the menu is not familiar the owner is present as you read through it and he gives explanations. Amazing food- stopped in very late (past 11pm) and was treated with extreme hospitality. The food was INSANE, extremely fresh. The mango lassi was seriously some of the best food I've ever had. It was nice inside with music videos playing and a family friendly vibe. Highly reccomend. read more

Relatively new place under the Long Island railroad on 107 North next door to a coin laundromat across from Wendy's. Small dark restaurant with a giant screen TV used to display their menu. Food was very good but the portion size for the money was small. I ordered the Tandoori chicken bowl and my wife ordered the chicken rolled up sandwich. We also ordered the onion naan which was delicious. Parking was available behind the restaurant but the lot looked very sketchy back there. We stopped by around midnight on a Monday night after a full day of travel, and were warmly greeted and sat immediately. The vibe is casual, and the staff is really friendly -- you can tell they care about what they're serving. It's not fancy, but it's the kind of place you keep coming back to because the food hits the spot every time. Welcome to the neighborhood! The flavor is real, whew! I got the CHICKEN TIKKA KATHI ROLL for under $10. The size is perfect, the spice (but not overwhelming) is there, and the flavor was addictive. The MANGO LASSI gives a perfect sweet refreshing hit afterwards (it is a must try). The only negative I have is that the parking is a major issue, there's only parking on the main road(if lucky) or by the train station (which can land you a ticket). I recommend bringing a driver to drive around the block and placing an order before you arrive to grab and go. Or order delivery, or walk down the block if you find a spot. The Chicken tikka kebab was better than expected and I liked how it came with a few onions and peppers. The spice level was Medium Hot but the white sauce helps if you're not a spice person. Chutney was good as well but I much prefer the white sauce! I would come back and try their rolls the next time I'm looking for a quick snack by the train station. This place just opened up in Hicksville and it is AMAZING! No joke, the chicken tikka Kati roll is absolutely the best Kati roll in Long Island. The chicken is flavorful, made fresh and just the right amount of spice for an Indian. If you can't handle spicy food, then you will find the chicken tikka roll spicy. We also had the chicken momos. Man, the chicken filling was extremely tasty and flavorful. The dipping sauce that they provided with it was excellent and also spicy for those that like that spicy kick. We came here Saturday late night as we saw that it was open till 3am, for our group of 5. The service, the food, the ambience were all 5 stars, it was the best part of our night! On a trip to IKEA we found this spot just up 106 and directly across the LIRR Hicksville station. We had the Chicken Tikka Kathi, Palak Paneer, and the Chicken Seekh Kebob along with Roti and Garlic Naan of course. Everything was so so good ... I'm not normally a fan of Chicken Tikka but had a bite of my moms and you could literally taste the charcoal flavoring with the inside being tender and juicy. the kebab was tasty and the Palak Paneer was perfectly flavored and perfect combo of thickness. The flavors are all there, the spice level was definitely giving spice, the rice was seasoned. The meat was so tender, I now know what people mean when they say it melts in your mouth. Just cooked and seasoned so well. I ordered Naan, as well, it was warm and had a good amount of butter and garlic. Just so good and flavorful. I also ordered a Mango Lassi, which is like a mango smoothie. It was truly excellent and refreshing. I almost asked to meet the chef. Wish I lived closer, but dont mind making the drive. The kathi roll I didn't like as much due to mostly the wrap itself and I did think it was a bit too much sauce for my personal taste. The first time I had chicken tikka was in London and this one has brought me back in those days, where I enjoyed British "national food" besides Fish & Chip. I got there around 4:45pm today. Only street parking. The outlook of the store was very small. I would have missed if not because those Tibetan-like colorful small flags saying " Grand Opening". Got a lucky one hour free store front parking. The man behind the counter was very humble. He patiently explained to me all chicken dishes on the special Yelp menu. I decided on chicken tikka since it was the spiciest one among the all. The beautiful and reminiscent dish came out less than 10 mins. The aroma immediately penetrated my car. I didn't mind for the first time. The subtle Indian spices, white onion rings, green coriander, yoghurt, all came out layers by layers. I actually enjoyed lighter version of their chicken tikka. Not strong buttered, almost little sauce to none, it gifted a very clean, light, yet still profound taste. I was certain that I would so going back for more soon. Slightly set back from broadway/107, this eatery is situated in an ethnic area of various Indian and middle eastern eateries. Outside has a nice area that is inviting to wait on pleasant days, however it's a busy road. Inside has a small dining area and a comfortable waiting area. There is a complimentary water jug that tastes like room temperature tap water which was unpleasant. The lobby temperature is pleasantly cool and there was an Indian rock station on. My wife and I are both yelpers and went at the same time giving us each the opportunity to sample each others dishes. As part of a promotion, we got the chicken Tikka roll and the chicken Malai Tikka kebob. We also opted to get a garlic Naan and a tandoori roti. The chicken Tikka roll was excellent. Soft, fresh, seasoned perfectly, moist, and well balanced. The Malai Tikka kebob was less stellar. The cook on the chicken was good, a little over compared to home cooking, but considering commercial food safety rules come into play, they were likely cooked correctly. The seasoning on this kebab was mild. The chicken pieces are on the large size. The expectation of this dish is related to a different subject I'll get to. The Naan was good but borderline on the dryer side. The seasoning was focused on the central part of the Naan, so it was like an Italian pizza in the sense the the pie is good, but when you get to the crust, not so much. The roti was OK. It seemed to lack a little sweetness, a little dry and did not have the char flavor consistently. I think by adding more oil or yogurt to the mix would help a bit. What I think is missing, menus on display. Luckily we were the only ones ordering at the time, but the only menus are on the counter folded up. Perhaps a menu hanging on the wall or overhead menus like a Chinese take out would help, especially if there is a line. The menus themselves lacked photos or descriptions of the food. As mentioned before, expectations of dishes. For those not familiar with dishes or what to expect when ordering, photos are essential, as well as descriptions. As shown, the kebab is a plate of meat with a few slivers of onion and pepper. Perhaps this lacks because it's promotional, but putting this on a small bed of rice or couscous, would actually make this a meal rather than cubes of meat in a tin. Rice doesn't cost much to add for free, but I think people would be willing to pay to upgrade to a bed of rice or a bread, similar too a value meal at fast food places. There is an option for rice as a $7 side, but I'm talking about a dollar or so extra for a small bed. The mango Lassi is delicious. It's heavy and flavorful with a creamy texture, I'd guess coconut cream. Another item with 0 description on the menu. As I'm semi familiar with eating and cooking Indian foods, I like to try new things when I venture out, and descriptions/photos are essential. The price point for menu items seems on point for platters, but perhaps a little high for no frills. read more

I believe I had the chicken tiki wrap sandwich. Whichever chicken I got it was spicy. Although not spicy enough mitis Rover all it was a delicious sandwich!
