    Condiments on every table

Decided to try this relatively new restaurant. Beautiful interior, friendly and attentive staff. Water bottle on the table, fresh flowers on the table. However there was a major problem in the delivery of the food. One person received her dish after a fairly long wait, then 20 minutes later the second person received his meal and then 10 minutes later I received MY dish. Although the food was good, a major part of eating out is getting your food at the same time and eating together. We did speak to staff about it, but somehow it didn't result in food coming out quicker. The manager or owner, who was lovely, asked us how everything was when we finished, and I to,d her the problem with the lengthy and staggered food delivery. She felt terrible and sought to investigate why that was. Honestly at that time, she probably should have we either taken the price off an entre or given dessert or something. When we left she said that the server had entered the first dish as an appetizer, but that still didn't explain why the other dishes were staggered so long. When we left, she said , I hope you come back and give us another try, and " I'll take your order and make sure it's correct". She was sincere, but again, not much incentive to return. So I'm giving the food 4 stars and service 3 stars. Btw, it seems like at 8pm, the music changes and a DJ comes and plays more club music. That was unexpected and fun.

First time try this place. Not my favorite experience for the Indian food. The noodle added chicken ok to try. Service is good. Environment is ok. We left the onion cucumber tomatoes untouch and the waitress took back to kitchen. Seems like they may recycle to serve next customer

    Delicious

Food: Back in the day nostalgia good I had the Szechuan noodle and rice with chicken .....Delicious Chicken Tika with garlic nam: savory The owner is intuitive and knows her customers and often checked in with us . I felt catered too . I will be back . Amazing . The place is very nice and feels very welcoming . Most important it is clean. A gem

I was initially drawn to Haka by its striking décor. The mural of a dragon added a unique touch, and the teal velvet furniture gave the space a sophisticated vibe. The service was attentive, which is always a plus. However, the restaurant's attempt to cater to multiple cuisines (Chinese, Indian, Thai, and Japanese) left me feeling confused. It's often better for a restaurant to focus on perfecting one cuisine rather than spreading itself too thin. One thing I immediately noticed was the lack of beef on the menu, which was disappointing since I was craving Chinese food and usually prefer beef over chicken in Chinese dishes. Additionally, while Haka is a halal restaurant, I was uncomfortable seeing that they serve alcohol, which feels contradictory to their halal branding. Beyond the food, I encountered some alarming cleanliness issues. One of our plates had an orange-yellow stain on it, and the sauces provided with the soup had greasy spoons with oily handles. This lack of attention to hygiene was concerning. To make matters worse, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting--the trash was overflowing, and there was feces smeared on the toilet seat, which I had to clean myself before using. This experience completely killed my appetite. For appetizers, we ordered the corn soup and samosa chaat. The samosa chaat was flavorful and saucy, but it felt like there was too much going on, making it a bit messy. The corn soup, on the other hand, was bland and lacking in corn, with an odd metallic aftertaste that made it hard to enjoy. For the main course, we tried the egg fried rice with vegetables and Hong Kong-style chicken. While the fried rice had decent flavor, it was light on both the vegetables and egg, with only peas and bean sprouts visible. The chicken dish was particularly disappointing. Although the menu promised cashews and spice, the cashews were crushed so finely they were almost undetectable, and the sauce lacked any spice or depth. Most concerning was the unpleasant metallic "warmed over flavor" in the chicken, suggesting it wasn't freshly cooked but rather reheated, which was a big letdown. Overall, Haka feels overpriced for the quality of food and the poor hygiene standards. While the ambiance is lovely, the food itself is subpar, and the cleanliness issues made for an unpleasant dining experience. You're essentially paying for the décor rather than the quality of the food.

First time to HAKA, very good overall. The Chicken Manchurian was lacking flavor and way too soupy. The Chicken Tikka was way too dense with tomatoe sauce and lacked chicken, 3-4 little pieces of chicken for $19, come on. The Vindaloo was very very tasty, but very skimpy on the lamb, 5 little cubes for $22, that's not right. Flavor-wise it was off the hook. The Cauliflower Bloom and Cauliflower Chili Sauce were fantastic, delicious bold flavors, very vibrant chili sauce. The Biriyani was very good, the yogurt sauce was just the right touch.

Haka is a corner halal restaurant on the block. We were a reservation of 5 and the lady at the front was very sweet and respectful! We were seated when the full party arrived for dinner. The ambiance of this restaurant is gorgeous; makes you feel like you are under the sea. The Chinese food here is fresh and mouth watering. We got drumsticks and crispy chicken for appetizers, mango lassis, which were made to perfection, sushi and a variety of chicken dishes - Hong Kong chicken, Haka chili chicken, etc. and flavored shrimp fried rice. I liked everything except for the sushi as the menu mentioned the item should have been deep fried but wasn't. Portions were great and all the chicken items come with basmati rice. Let's talk about the music here! Our birthday dinner was a hit because of the DJ in this restaurant. The music took us back to our childhood all the way to current Hindi/Punjabi/Spanish songs and remixes. Excellent choice of music as we danced our night away! Our main female Indian waitress had a nasty attitude; not sure what her deal was from the beginning by giving us unwelcoming looks and whispers. Our 18% tip was included in the bill but the service overall from other staff was excellent! For our birthday girl, the lady in the front surprised us with free gulab jamun and a candle; each of us got one sweet & we were happy. I would recommend Haka to add more dessert items to their menu. Thank you Haka for having us celebrate our special night, and I will be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family.
