The place is small, but cozy. Our server was nice, informative, and attentive. The beverages were delicious and meals were flavorful. It was priced and portioned well. All of the dishes we ordered were our favorites, and we couldn't stop eating the straw fries. I would definitely come back just to order a plate of fries!!!

Love the corner! Always a great breakfast spot that I've been coming too for years! Staff is friendly! Parking can be a bit tough & it does get super busy especially on the weekends! cute and fun cafe / breakfast for to start the weekend!

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday while in town and loved my experience. Had a short fifteen minute wait and was seated at the bar near the window. The service was super attentive + the ambience felt like a true neighborhood spot with a cozy and hip interior. Started off with a DKA pastry and then followed up with one of their specials which was their take on a chicken Milanese paired with a buttermilk ranch topped salad. Both were really solid and were the perfect start for a day filled with exploring what Montclair had to offer. Definitely wouldn't mind stopping by again when passing through!

A staple diner-esq experience in Montclair! Come early as its an intimate spot and fills up quickly! Today was a bit of a wait especially with all the rain but it was a filling brunch. Ordered the farm eggs dish which was such a balanced meal (I would get again). The pastry board was also delish and perfectly shareable for 3. Others ordered the brisket dish and the chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich wasn't a favorite due to the cheese used. The rind was on and tasted rancid so it ruined the dish.

Super cute space , staff are very friendly, slightly elevated breakfast, good coffee, who can complain. The pancakes are a must, they are so fluffy and light! Their quiches are also very nice with super fluffy egg and a rotating seasonal menu of flavors. We also got the the soft boiled eggs on toast with avocado, salmon, and a dill cream. The eggs were perfectly runny.

The Corner is one of the best ran restaurants in Montclair. The food is always delicious and consistent with very little change over the years. As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke don't fix it." If you were a NYC club kid in the 90s (or adjacent) you'll appreciate the playlist that echoes in this intimate space. You can hear reggae one day, Biggie another or Leo Sayer the next. It's called range my friends. The price point is right on par for the quality of food you receive. My favorite menu items are the pancakes, French fries, coffee, avocados drizzled with olive oil and lemon zest; however in no particular order. The staff is super cordial and accommodating, respecting your time and effort to be there.

Just had a wonderful lunch at The Corner. Very friendly staff. Cool vibe- I loved the tables with industrial piping on wheels! We were seated in a cozy booth. Anyway- my flaked salmon salad was so delicious and fresh. My water glass was constantly being filled- really attentive staff. Also had a mocha with oat milk - perfection. Even though the place was very busy- they made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be coming back.

Love this place for brunch and a coffee. There's usually a wait but if you're flexible about seating it moves pretty fast, they have tables, counter and outdoor seating. They usually run some different specials for both food and drinks. They also have a really good juice list in addition to all the breakfast and lunch foods. The breakfast sandwich on a biscuit is the best, the biscuit itself is warm buttery flakey but also doesn't fall apart while eating the sandwich. Definitely recommend. Also the garlic rosemary fries are a must get!! Service is always fast, they definitely try to turn tables quickly but also don't make you feel rushed. It's lively inside with people picking up to go orders and every table packed. Food is always fresh and drinks are always good!

Such a solid brunch spot. The food is fresh, flavorful, and never disappoints. I love the pancakes, they're always perfectly done. Coffee's great too! It does get busy on weekends, but the vibe is good and worth the wait. Just an easy, feel-good place to start your day in Montclair.

My aunt treated me to breakfast and said she knew the perfect spot and she was absolutely right! The Corner is such a cute little breakfast spot. It fills pretty quickly, but the vibe is cozy and inviting, and the servers are great. Quick, attentive and super friendly. We started with the cornbread, very buttery and flavorful. Personally, I'm not a fan of actual corn in my cornbread, but it was still really good! For my main, I got the breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon and avocado 10/10! It's been a week and I'm still thinking about it. My aunt had the berry pancakes, and they were just as delicious fluffy, fresh berries, and perfectly sweet. Also, the OJ was freshly squeezed yum! Overall, everything hit the spot great food, great service, and great energy. I'll definitely be back!

This spot has a real Brooklyn vibe in the best way. The wait can run a little long, but it's absolutely worth it once you're seated. The food is consistently delicious--rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. If you don't mind sitting close and brushing shoulders with strangers, you're in for a genuine, cozy experience. The pancakes are my top recommendation, but honestly, everything on the menu hits the mark. Keep up the amazing work and stay authentic

Really small space - cozy vibes - very Brooklyn. Service was really good - the staff all checked in and gave refills on the coffee and water consistently. The fries were 10000/10 I will be back for them. Latte was pretty good too. They cooked the bacon the way we asked but it didn't have any flavor, which was strange. I don't know if I could ever say that before today. The pancakes are more aesthetically pleasing than tasty - they're cute but don't really have much to them.

Super cute little place, no surprise, on the actual corner! Seems like it's always busy but we lucked out and got a table right away. Servers were attentive and food was good! Menu was a bit limited but seemed like it had something for everyone (veggie, gluten free, sweet, savory options).

They're known for their water which is charged with crystals. We met Sandy who was kind enough to let us try some! Of course it tasted like your typical water but if you believe in everything around us having energy, get your water from here! They have 7 chakra elixirs to choose from and honestly I wanted to try them all but landed on the Heart Chakra Love Elixir. It was light, refreshing, and not sweet. The flavors weren't super pronounced honestly but I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought. I also had the opportunity to meet the owner Jaye who was super friendly and informed us of how the space is used, upcoming events, etc. The cafe itself is warm, welcoming, and relaxing. The Lentil Soup is a calm soup, not too salty, not too spicy, carrying natural lentil bean flavors, earthy and warm. The Naan is soft, savory, and like a tender fluffy pita bread with light seasoning. Aside from the meal, I think double checking utensils is so important in kitchen environments (where utensils are put to re-use). Thanks for being patient and understanding with my request to change spoons (the first time, in the photo, due to a food like stain, and the second time due to a dry dishwasher soap/milk like stain). Also, I think, if possible, replacing the fogging/smog-stainful-looking plastic like cups (for free water) with paper-like cups or by way of glass cups and metal-like pitchers may contribute to the eatery's ambience well. I saw the good reviews so I was disappointed when I received my desserts. Most of the cake slices were around $7, but when I asked for a cheesecake or pistachio one, one slice was $13 which I found to be expensive so I did not get that one. My friends and I decided on 3 cakes: strawberry, Oreo, and chocolate. I don't think I will ever be returning - the cakes tasted old. The best way to describe it was a like it came from a chain supermarket - lacking flavor and not up to fresh quality. The only one that was edible was the chocolate slice. We felt so bad to have to throw away the other two cakes, but they were not good at all. It was a waste of money to pay so much for a slice and not eat it.
