I went there this morning with a friend and it's was new to both of us. Had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was amazing and the food even better. Came here yesterday with my wife, because she recommended it, and it was an amazing decision. Food: my wife started with an iced green tea which was refreshing on an unexpected warm winter day and we proceeded to get a smoked turkey panini (wife) and the waiter offered a wonderful suggestion of chicken and black bean wrap which was right up my alley. Very good overall food and the smoked Gouda with my wrap really put it all together. Aesthetic: adorable little place with a diner, like bar and seating in the back. I also like the patio, which I assume would be better in the spring and summer. I had an amazing time coming here for lunch with my coworkers. Upon entrance we were greeted and told to sit wherever we would like. From the moment we entered I already knew I would leave happy there. Halloween decor was very cute and I'm a big person on Halloween! We ordered the fried ravioli which was made to perfection. It was def tasty especially dipping it in marinara. I liked the crunchiness to it. Then I had the hot chocolate which was pretty much chocolate heaven! I was surprised the amount of hot chocolate I got , I'm so used to getting a small cup when ordering but this was def worth it. I personally had the Cuban which was enough for two people to share. It was very tasty however lacked some mustard which is fine I'm sure I could've asked for some but didn't because it tasted just as great without it . I had a side of fries which were nice and crispy not over salted at all. I tried a bite of my friend's Mexican panini which was also very tasty especially the kick of spiciness which made it even better. I called and asked if they had avocado toast. They said they did and gave me bread options. They also said it comes with eggs or without eggs. I feel as if in 2025 everyone should know that avocado toast consists of more than bread and avocado on top. All they gave me was toasted bread with avocado on top. No elevated flavors, no seasoning, no drizzle. Completely flavorless breakfast option. Messing up avocado toast means everything at this place is subpar unless you like plain old coffee. If you are the kind of girl who likes an oat milk latte, this is not the place for you. They should have specified it was just avocado on bread, yuck. Will not be going back. Walked in this morning ready to feel guilty about eating until I had to unbutton my jeans and then go home and take an obligatory nap. I've been here a few times over the last few years but hadn't been in a while. I had the traditional eggs Benny, my wife had the hungry human and the kids had the chocolate chip pancakes and the Mac and cheese bites. The hungry human is an insane amount of food and I dreamt of that French toast during my nap. The eggs Benny were very good as well, the potatoes needed salt. Kids stuff, well i mean choco chip pancakes and Mac and cheese bite, you can't go wrong. My only complaint really is I'm not ready to sit table and table next to another family. Idk too soon. Luckily the family next to us left after only 20ish minutes. Also most people if not all didn't have masks not even the staff. A lil uncomfortable with that omicron waiting to keep my kids home from school and me having to stay home with them attending virtually. HORROR!!! Came for the first time to enjoy brunch. Loved that they had a little back patio area outside with umbrellas covering the tables. This place is okay sit-in, but terrible for takeout. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and side of sweet potato fries. When I got there, the lady told me my bill was around $19. $19 for a salad and some fries?! Turned out I was charged $6 for the side of fries when online it said they were $3. She sighed and gave me $3 back. Now the "salad" was mixed greens, maybe 4 halved grape tomatoes, and full chicken tenders on top. The greens were wilted. The salad was in a 3-compartment foam container, so every time I'd put my fork down it'd go through the foam divider. Overall bad experience here. We chose a seat in the second room, it looked just a little cozier. The menu is huge! For a place that's only breakfast and lunch they have plenty of options. My friend and I both had our hearts set on eggs Benedict. She got the traditional and I got Bruschetta Benedict. Both delicious. The pesto was great with mine. We also got a fruit bowl and it was great, melon, bananas, strawberries. It was nice to balance out the eggs with the sweetness of the fruit. The portion was huge too, I ended up taking half home. This is the kind of place where you can just cozy up in the corner and do some work or relax and just enjoy breakfast. They have free WiFi too. I've been wanting to try this place out for awhile, and I'm so glad that I did. They have a nice area for outdoor seating. It was a perfect day to sit outside. With check in, you get a free coffee. I asked for pumpkin coffee, and they had run out =( I tried their toasted almond coffee, which was good. I ended up getting their italian chicken panini. They give you a really generous portion which i loved. Also, I got it with hot fries which i highly recommend if you love hot sauce and blue cheese. Came here for a birthday celebration and the people here are super nice! They have a small little parking area but if there are no more spots there, you can park on the street. I got the cafe vanilla-chestnut blend fresh brewed coffee mixed with vanilla syrup and frothy steamed milk. It was sort of a watery consistency to me but it was not bad! I'd want to try something else there. I then got the eggs Benedict and it was delicious! The home fries were definitely well seasoned and well cooked, which is quite hard to find! We arrived at this adorable corner place with a lovely front and rear entrance. Parking is located in the back that connects to a lovely rear patio set up with tables and umbrellas for outdoor seating. Inside its simple and cute lots of seating. Ambience is quite romantic and unique and kind fo farmhouse. Its BYOB so I will definitely be back with champagne next time for mimosas. Food was amazing! Chestnut Street Cafe is a great place to go for breakfast/brunch and has some delicious food that you can have, while sitting outside in the back patio during a nice day. Just to note though, if you do decide to sit outside, the establishment does own a few cats that will stroll around. They are friendly cats, but if cats are not your thing, then definitely stay inside. I am allergic to cats, but the open space outside makes it bearable for me and the cats did not bother me too much unless my friend or I tried to play with them. On nice mornings I definitely like coming here just to eat outside and relax, and the plus of living near here is a great benefit. The best items I have had here were the French Toast, specifically their Signature Croissant and Banana Bread French Toast. I also was able to try their Eggs Benedict, which is okay and nothing special in my opinion. Their Signature Portobello Eggs Benedict was good, but I also tried the Steak and Eggs Benedict they served here before and that was average, as the steak tasted a little dry. Simple food done really well. My husband and I came here for brunch; I had the classic eggs benny and he had the hungry human breakfast. Both dishes were well made, especially the potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was also very yummy, props to the chef as hollandaise can be especially tricky to get right. Chestnut is one of my go to spots in the area for brunch/lunch. With good food and a very comfortable atmosphere, it's the perfect type of place for a lazy Saturday/Sunday afternoon with some friends and family (especially the outdoor patio for nice weather days). With a very friendly staff, they offer a good selection of coffees and teas to drink from, great breakfast and lunch menu options (try the homemade meatloaf sandwich and/or the hot chestnut fries), and a nice selection of pastries and desserts up front, it's definitely worth a visit if in the area. The only warning I will give about Chestnut, is how long it takes to get your food sometimes. So if you are in a rush, this is not the place for you. read more

I got the free coffee with my check in. A couple of weeks later I came with my gf for dinner. My gf's diablo shrimp was really good. I requested some bread to go along with her dish. It's a saucy and savory that I enjoyed eating with bread. I didn't enjoy my pork chop giambotta. It was cooked with pickled hot peppers. Now I know giambottas comes with those type of peppers. I tore up the pork chop but the peppers left a bad taste with me. I'd imagine this place will be in triple D's one day. I'd still come back but will read the menu more carefully. read more
