My husband and I popped in here before heading to MPAC. We were a little nervous because we were shooting for a 30 minute or less meal (it would've been okay if we didn't make it), but we took the chance. The place was not very crowded at 6:25 on a Thursday, but there were people there. I liked the decor on the inside. It's industrial and I thought it has a nice feel. Anyway, we're burger people. We like burgers and trying different burger places. We really liked these! He got the Good Morning Burger and I got Chipotle Bacon. We got both with the waffle fries. They came out within minutes. The burgers were juicy and absolutely delicious. I loved the chipotle mayo so the waitress brought us a cup and we dipped our fries in it. Normally we'll split burgers and go half and half, but his was just too messy to do that. I did steal a bite though. Both were great! Our only regret is not realizing that you have to ask for a brioche bun. The standard bun is pretty lame, but that's our fault - though they could step that up. We'll try it again, but for now I've gotta give it 5 stars. We were in and out quickly and the food was great, especially for the price! It's not the best burger I've had, but it's way above average. Absolutely fantastic for burger people (and I mean burgers.. not like "OMG I love 5 Guys burgers!" or "Habit Burger is incredible!!"). Also, no straws is a bonus point. Had brunch here with two of my girlfriends. Wish we knew it was BYOB ahead of time. We tried to look for a liquor store but they got us a table right away after we checked in. They serve their coffee in a real thermos which was so cute. We shared the Nutella French toast and that was so good. The side of fruits and the strawberries tasted fresh. We all ordered different pork roll sandwiches and they all came out so good. A little on the greasy side but still tasted good. Sweet potatoes fries were very crunchy too. Just visited this venue and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambience was chill and relaxed. They had outside seating but me and my group decided to stay inside.....the weather was beautiful but we decided to eat in doors. This place is the perfect type of place to visit.....it's not a national corporate chain while also not being a local refuge for native trash. It's more upscale without any pretentiousness. The menu consists of burgers, wings, salads, sandwiches....but they're all unique in their own way. The servers are pleasant, kind and complete their tasks while smiling (which is rare). I ordered the Chipotle Bacon burger and wings with the original house dry rub. I was full and the price was reasonable. I strongly recommend a visit if you're in the area. read more

This is one place I've been really looking forward to trying. If it weren't for the nightmarish parking in the section of Morristown where The Committed Pig is located, I would have come here much sooner. Based on multiple reviews and the recommendation of the server, I went with the Baked Brie Burger, which features brie, bacon and fig preserves. According to their menu, all their burgers are double patties made with a Pat LaFrieda blend of short rib, hangar steak, and brisket; and you really do taste the quality of the beef in every bite. I've been a fan of the sweet and savory style burger since I first visited Father's Office in Santa Monica, CA, and had their signature "Office Burger", which includes caramelized onions, bacon, Gruyére, Maytag Blue cheese and arugula. While the Baked Brie Burger here isn't as complex as that, it's still a damn good burger. My only complaint is the fig jam is a tad too sweet, and almost overwhelms the other flavors in the burger. The two strips of bacon just aren't enough to counter the sugary flavor profile of the jam. The jam needs to be mixed with something else to take the edge off the sweetness; maybe onions. Having said that, I'd happily order this same burger again, but I'd get the jam on the side. The sandwiches and burgers all come with a choice of fries, waffle fries, sweet potato fries, or sweet potato waffle fries. I got the sweet potato waffle fries. They tasted fine, but they weren't anything special. My father got the Pork Roll and Cheese, which unsurprisingly is simply pork roll & American cheese served on a brioche bun. He wasn't as happy with that. In New Jersey, if you're going to serve an "upscale" Taylor Ham sandwich (yes, I call it Taylor Ham, deal with it), it better be something original and special. The Pork Roll and Cheese at The Committed Pig wasn't either of those things. In fairness, the restaurant does offer six different pork roll sandwiches, and this was the simplest of the bunch, but at almost twice the price of the average New Jersey pork roll sandwich, it still needed to be a step above average. At this point I feel it's important to give credit to the manager on duty. A lovely young lady who was determined to make sure we were happy, and would return. She took my father's sandwich off the bill and offered to have something made for him to take home. We declined the take-home offer, but left feeling happy. It could have turned out differently. I look forward to returning. The Chipotle Bacon Burger with Muenster, bacon strips, chipotle mayo and an onion ring looked really good. Yes, that's what I'll try on my next visit. read more

This place is absolutely delicious. It is by far my favorite place to eat brunch at. I have tried many of their menu items, and while their burgers are amazing, their brunch menu is unmatched. OMG this place *insert enamored smile* Not only does it look totally "must try-able", but it tastes it too! I tried to score a table here repeatedly for weekend brunch but the wait was always too long (yup, it's THAT in demand). So I called them up for lunch one day, jonesing for an avocado toast (and under several dietary restrictions)--which, btw, wasn't on the menu. Long story short, not only did they make me an avocado toast exactly as I ordered it, but they were super nice about it. Plus, when I went to pick up my food and got a waft of their signature sweet potato fries, I (drooling) commented I shoulda ordered those as well and they threw in the fries too! It is SO nice to see a neighborhood eatery that's about the neighborhood! I was so grateful to them for their true hospitality, kindness and scrumptious food! I love this place! Fast and friendly service in a beautiful atmosphere. They have a lot of locations across New Jersey downtown main streets and I think that is a testament to how incredible this place is. I was a little disappointed with my experience. A lot of my friends hyped this place up..and I was kind of let down. We went as a group of 6 friends, all of our dishes came out super staggered. We had to start eating without each other because the food was getting cold. My friend and I bother ordered the French toast and hers was significantly larger, so it was kind of odd that the food isn't somewhat standardized in portion size. I'm not really expecting perfection lol but some consistency is important. The side of bacon was just 3 strips of greasy bacon... all in all I thought it was pretty pricy for what I got. Definitely Go! This was a quick bite for us a very down home southern atmosphere, and the food is delicious. The tomato soup was great with a slight hint of acid. I had the gluten free Fig Jam and Brie grilled cheese. Let's just say I WILL BE MAKING AT HOME. Very clean, safe part of town. I am from Florida with ample parking. So we did park in the garage, but it was only $2 for a little over an hour. I would definitely go back if I were local. Tried to buy tshirts but they were out of stock. Food came out appropriately. If I had recommendations for anything here 1) please put napkins in the bin or attach a paper towel holder to the table. 2) bigger drink cups. 3) ketchup bottles with capped lids 4) a better way to pay and the hostess. Went here yesterday. We were seated immediately. We ordered the pig fries, fried pickle chips, and chipotle bacon burger. The pickle chips were not what I was expecting. I've had better at Sheetz and will not be ordering them again. They were not crisp/crunchy and had a mild pickle taste. The farther we got into the basket, the soggier they got. We did not bother to finish them. The pig fries I thought were pretty good. They had cheese sauce, gravy, and bacon. They were crunchy and flavorful. Though expensive, they could have been a meal themselves! Large portion size. I'd get them again. The chipotle burger was the best thing we ordered. Burger was cooked perfect, had great flavor, and the chipotle tasted good. Not spicy. The two strips of bacon on the burger were larger than the burger so we folded them in to eat them haha. They were flavorful too. I'd def eat that burger again! Our waitress was also attentive, even for the place being so busy. She was great. The ambiance was very loud inside. It's also kind of small. The food doesn't disappoint in this restaurant. I'm picky with my mac and cheese and I must say their mac was moist and creamy with the right spicy kick to it. The illy silly. Burger was very tasty and I ended up putting a tablespoon of mac inside the burger for a flavorful boost. I'm one of those ppl to mix their food to see what I can experience from it haha. The red velvet oreos was great but too sweet after 2 I couldn't take no more but since I dont like to throw out food I forced it down the hatch hahah. I was here on my way through tonight and was told this was the place to go, I had the twenty dollar burger ( for only $19!) and waffle fries. 4 1/4lb patties stacked with the standard fixings, I ordered this rate but it came closer to well done. Other than that the bun was fresh the portions were generous and I was stuffed at the end. The service was just fine and the patio area was very nice. Had high hopes based on other reviews and the menu. But first thing, the empty coffee cup the waitress brought was dirty. We sat outside even though it was 85 degrees because it was too cold inside. The mesh patio chairs were well worn. My omelet with ham, mushrooms and Gruyère looked great and was huge, but tasted on the outside like overcooked old oil from the grill which overpowered the goodness of the omelet. I ordered fruit cup instead of hash browns. Fruit was not fresh and rather tasteless. It seemed like it had been standing overnight, cut up, in the bowl in the cooler. Same with the butter. The top layer of the ball of butter had absorbed flavors from the cooler while digging underneath it tasted better. Breakfast was pricey $50+ for two and not worth it. I'm usually very happy with my order. I'm in Morristown several times a month and I always order a Cobb Salad for the plane ride home. Today I ordered a burger, wings and cobb salad with shrimp for take away. I specifically requested two Russian dressings and two sides of mayo. Picked up my order and had neither. It's very easy for staff to review order and double check all contents are provided. It's not so easy having to leave hotel and walk back just to get salad dressing which should have been included. My salad which I intend to eat later on the plane (which I mentioned several times to ensure no dressing was placed on the salad but on the side) is in a box which the side is torn and now the box won't stay closed. When I ordered this salad a few weeks ago I asked the lady if they could please wrap the box in Saran Wrap as I will travel with it and her response was it's in a secure box.....so basically that was a NO. So now having to hope my torn box will hold up until my flight later I will insist on the box being wrapped in Saran Wrap. Also I suggest putting salad in separate bag away from hot items. My salad which I intend to eat later now has melted cheese over the top because the box was placed at the bottom of the bag with all the hot items on top. I hope this review encourages management to speak with staff concerning take away orders. read more

I've "grilled" the staff for tips of what makes these burgers so amazing, to recreate the magic in my own kitchen... And I've gotten close! I've figured the technique... Using two 4oz patties seared at super high heat on a cast iron griddle, you get more surface area and the seared fat gives a flavor that can turn a vegan into a carnivore in under 3 bites...
