We've been here serval times. Each time we've tried the boiled and fried seafood. The boil has been a disappointment each time. It doesn't have enough flavor and spice but we love the fried food. Free drinks are your basic frozen machine drinks and for some reason I was told I couldn't mix certain flavors which I found strange but they are ok for bending free. Had the popcorn shrimp po boy which came with 2 hush puppies & a side for $8.99 (no drink). The menu choices sounded really good. I chose the fries & had my shrimp fried & the fries were very good. Long thin & fresh with some cajun seasoning. The po boy was on fresh French bread but that's mostly what it consisted of. Didn't have a whole lot of flavor. I'd rate it as average. The hubs also had the shrimp po boy but blackened & for his side, he chose grilled veggies. He said he doesn't think his shrimp was actually blackened because there literally was no spice & the veggies were soggy. Both of our hushpuppies were overcooked & dry. I may give them a 2nd chance to try their gumbo but only because their aren't many options for gumbo in our area. If so I will post an honest review as always. read more

Limited items on menu. "Fried Fish is listed often and when I asked what type of fish it was, the reply was that it was in the "Catfish family". They did have a limited listing of catfish, which I chose one of. Had the cole slaw and hush puppies. Fish appeared to be cooked but was very mushy. I can't recall having such bad catfish in many, many years. Cole slaw had a certain "flavor" which turned me off. Hush Puppies were very good. All in all, meal was pretty sorry. This is the best seafood I have had in a long time. Fried green tomatoes were hand breaded and golden brown that melt in your mouth. We shared the Catch 22 plate with okra instead of fries. Everything was cooked to perfection. The fried shrimp was succulent and tender. Key Lime Pie was to die for!!! Smoooooth! Extremely impressed with all levels of service. I would give this place 5 star on their boiled crawfish. Boiled and made to order with a variety of spices to choose from such as cajun, lemon pepper or garlic. I chose the medium Cajun flavor and it was just hot enough to get my nose running. You can also order the cajun flavor in mild, medium or hot. Looked forward to eating at the Catch on our trip to Houston. Last year, the service was great, not this year. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder as an appetizer and it wasn't delivered until after our food. Excuse was that it wasn't on the ticket. We did pay for it, and then they deliver a cup of lukewarm soup. When we spoke with a manager, she offered us something for next time, but we aren't local. Then dessert or a 'punchcard' for a future location. When asked to just refund the soup, she looked like a deer in the headlights. Turns out that she wasn't authorized but didn't even tell the GM. Finally, found the GM who made it right. read more

So we came here because of all the hype and were very disappointed. We ordered a little of everything - snow crab, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, corn and sausage. We picked the - full house seasoning and mild in spice. We received the crawfish and it was bland, no flavor what so ever. So maybe it was the wrong order? It does have that outside look of fast food but when you sit down inside and enjoy the food it's a completely different experience. The food is absolutely amazing here. I had crab and shrimp with the spiciest version of the full house sauce and boy was it spicy and delicious. I also had some étouffée. My food was good, however the customer service was horrendous. Let me explain.... I placed an order for grilled shrimp tacos minus the tortilla (I have celiacs) I've done this twice before and had no issues. This time when I got my order they had mixed the shrimp up with rice. This is not how the tacos come so I called to explain that this is not what I had ordered and instead of just apologizing and letting me come in to get the corrected order. I was made to feel silly for not wanting the rice and offered cheesecake for my inconvenience. (remember I have celiacs, can't eat it) I asked them politely to remake my order and that I would be in to pick it up. Once I got there, my order was waiting, however I was greeted by a lady that proceeded to question me as to why I couldn't eat the rice. I explained that it wasn't what I ordered and she then asked "well are you allergic to it?" When I explained again that it wasn't what I had ordered she proceeded to get the new order, take out the boxes, flip them open and be very snippy with me. This was crazy!! My sons fries were cold at what a burger and when I told them they apologized like 3 times, gave him new fries and apple pie and me a drink for coming in. I won't be back to The Catch. Not bad but not great especially if you get to go. I definitely recommend you eat at the restaurant and don't try to take it home and eat as it is an extremely different experience relating to taste. This is a regular fast food concept with an extended menu. The food was acceptable but it was up to the diners to bus their table if they wanted a cleared table. I tried coming by to get a simple cup of gumbo at about 9:50 P.M. which is 10 minutes from their posted closing time of 10 P.M.....and NOPE They couldn't be bothered to help me.
