The full experience was amazing it was very warm and welcoming. The food was gr8 and very enjoyable. You will not be disappointed with the food, the service or the environment. Definitely worth the time to explore especially if u enjoy authentic British food.

I love this place!!! It's a British restaurant with all the dishes you could want from classic British dishes with a small market on the other end with a case of pies and pastries. Also imported goods. It's so cute and I love being able to get food like this because it's rare to find British food around here. Service is good and the place stays busy.

The side section I chose to have my meal. There is a larger dining section adjacent to this little nook.

I decided to try The British Pantry for Fish and Chips. I was greeted so warmly and welcomely by Jackie the hostess. Which immediately put me at ease and I felt like I was one of her regulars. Thanks Jackie. The ordering process was easy and quick, Jackie even went above and made a fresh pot of coffee when I had ordered. My fish and chips arrived and I was delighted with how my plate appeared. I also received a full bottle of ketchup and malt vinegar and they were so clean to the eye, I was so pleasantly surprised and it was such a nice touch. The beer battered fish was fresh and juicy on the interior with a golden crispy exterior. The fries were thick, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the interior. I'm pretty sure I did a wiggle dance upon trying the food. I loved the tartar sauce with its hint of sweetness with the tang. This was a 10/10 for me, the service, food and ambiance were great! I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Still a great place for breakfast. Closest thing you'll get to a traditional English breakfast. Been coming here for years. Still serving good food!

Meandering through Redmond, we stumbled through a portal that transported us to Merry Old England where a lovely lass brought Fish & Chips and a Royal Tea to our table. The fish and chips were top notch - crispy but not greasy, sizable filets of dense white fish, perfectly cooked and a large serving of thick cut chips. The Royal Tea came with cucumber sandwiches, a crumpet and fruit with a little cake and house tea. Remember to stick out your pinky! And when you're done, stop by the store next door and get a few treats to go before you step back into the colonies (Malteasers for me!). Five stars for a jolly fine time at British Pantry - come on in and give them a try!

I went to visit The British Pantry today with a friend, and I enjoyed it. The service was great and the staff were nice. I liked the British and antique, yet classical vibe of the restaurant. It was very quaint and peaceful. The food was good. However, I gave four stars because I wish they had more vegetarian options. Their vegetarian options were little to none. They should totally consider getting some vegetarian meat substitutes or adding vegetarian options. There are a lot of vegetarians in this area, and especially on the east side, where they are located. I had the crumpets with butter and jam, scrambled eggs, and fried potatoes. It was a delicious dish. It tasted very authentic and was full of great flavors! They also have a cute shop next to the restaurant, and a bar next door to that. They are all owned by the same owners. Overall, I would recommend The British Pantry. However, if you are vegetarian, please know that your options are very limited and you will have to get creative and remove meat, and add on sides, etc.

I tried their Lancashire pasty, which was hearty and filled with flavorful meat and vegetables. I opted for their house blend English Breakfast tea, which was smooth and robust, making it a perfect pairing. Our server was attentive and kept our tea refreshed. This hidden gem is charming and very much in line with the U.K. theme. The decor was cozy, and I enjoyed looking at the nostalgic photos of Queen Elizabeth that gave the place an authentic British feel. It's almost like a small slice of the U.K. in Washington. I'd definitely return, especially in the afternoon, since they offer high tea time service.

I hate giving one star reviews but this place deserves it. Their food (pastries etc) in the case is reliably stale, old and not so tasty. Service is subpar. They do not have a return policy even if you purchase something expired (or moldy, which happened to me). I've come in twice and it's been one star each time so I'll be seeking my British tea and treats elsewhere. Bummer!

We went there for breakfast after discovering this little gem. It seems to offer authentic British breakfast options because many dishes has beans in it. We had big British breakfast with has two sausages that tasted quite different from the other sausages we've had. These sausages seemed to have more starch in them. And of course you cannot miss those beans in your typical British breakfast and we absolutely loved those beans. Overall I say this is a nice restaurant. We will definitely come back to try their afternoon tea. These types of small local owned and operated restaurants are becoming hard to find as Redmond go thru development that's replacing these small restaurants with larger chains or more fancy restaurants, but also more expensive.

We walked in and were immediately transported to a pub in the UK, no passport required. Quaint, cozy, and the kind of place where everyone can find their comfort zone, whether that's a booth, a bar stool, or a table where you can fully spread out and commit to dinner. We were greeted right away by an incredibly nice server and shown to our table so we could sit down and dry off, because at that point it was basically a monsoon outside. Truly biblical weather. Menus hit the table and the race was on. Obviously, in a place like this, I had to order the fish and chips. My partner ordered the French dip, not because he wanted it more than anything else, but because it was my second choice. Strategic ordering at its finest. If I can't commit, I will absolutely order through someone else. HA. We also got the Caesar salad, and if you're looking for a genuinely great salad, this is the one. Fresh, delicious, and healthy enough to make you feel slightly virtuous before demolishing fries. Overall, this place is a win. Great food, super friendly employees, and fries you will be thinking about later. Highly recommend for rainy days, hunger emergencies, and people who like their pub vibes extra cozy.

It was clear the restaurant was short-staffed, but unfortunately, that translated into very poor service. We had to ask the waiter for almost everything twice -- menus, condiments, and basic necessities. The waiter never wrote down our order, and unsurprisingly, it arrived incorrectly. To make matters worse, one person's meal was delivered about 10 minutes after everyone else's, with no explanation. Two of us ordered dishes that came with fries, and both orders arrived with fries that were completely cold. On top of that, the restaurant has only one shared bathroom for both men and women, which is not ideal for a dining establishment. At one point, they were also out of silverware, which added to the overall feeling of disorganization. Another frustrating surprise was a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Service issues extended beyond our table. At one point, the bartender was sitting behind the bar reading a newspaper, and she did not appear to be assisting the floor staff or acting as part of a team, despite how overwhelmed everything seemed. But the final issue -- and the one that guarantees we will never return -- was a serious sanitation concern. The waiter carried a rag in his back pocket and repeatedly used it to wipe sweat pouring off his head while working in the dining area. He did NOT WASH HIS HANDS afterward and continued touching everyone's cups, silverware, napkins, and meals. This is no different than coughing into your hands and then handling guests' food. Honestly, I really should have called the health department. Between the poor service, cold food, surprise fees, lack of basic supplies, and major hygiene issues, this was a very disappointing experience and not one I would recommend to anyone.
