Had a bad experience at the Bridge in West Seattle today. My husband and I were in town to experience the pre-mother's day garage sales and decided to take a break for lunch. We had our dog with us, so the places we could go were limited. We opted for The Bridge. We arrived around 12:00 and sat on the patio. My husband went to the bar and ordered our meals. He ordered the Graham Street and I ordered the Bridge Bene. After about 15 minutes the waiter stopped at our table and asked if we had ordered a Graham Street. We said yes and he presented the plate to my husband. After 10 minutes I asked the waiter where my meal was and told him I had ordered a Bridge Bene. After about 5 minutes he came back and told me it was coming. After 10 more minutes my husband was finished with his sandwich and I told him (my husband) to cancel my order. He went to the bar to cancel it and was told it was on its way out. After another 10 minutes I decided we had been there long enough and it was time to move on, so I went to the bar and asked that the order be made to go. 5 more minutes passed and I decided to go into the bar and wait. They were just putting the order in a bag, so I grabbed it and we left. The waiter said, "Sorry for the wait". It clearly wasn't his fault. The manager was there and was fully aware of the debacle. Unfortunately we had to pay, and tip, when we placed the order, so there was no way to demonstrate our displeasure. I think the least the manager could have done was to offer a free drink the next time we come in. Better yet, make it for The Point in Burien. As far as the meals, my husband's BLT (aka Graham Street) was good. My eggs and the sauce were good. The egg muffin was so tough I had to use a steak knife to cut it. read more

This is an awesome place to watch a Seahawks game. There are TV's all around and they bring down two large screens where they project the game. The atmosphere is fun and everyone gets into the game. The food they serve is really good. This past time I ordered the wings and they are now one of my new favorites. I was also forced to order the cheese curds because the name really grossed me out but they were so delicious. They are basically like mozzarella sticks but ten times better. Try these!!! They also come with some tasty dipping sauce. My friend ordered the falafel fries which tasted like a bean patty. My wife and her friend loved them. However, it really wasn't my cup of tea. The food is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC I highly recommend the Chicken Fried Steak. Crispy coating and tender meat was topped with rich, creamy gravy. My boyfriend got the Eggs Bene. BEYONDDD SATISFIED. Okay, first of all.... CHEESE CURRRDS. Wow. Flavor explosion. So we ordered HH cheese curds for 7 bucks, and omggaahhh.. they came with an incredible Jalapeño jelly that was to die for (I ended up dipping all my food into it)! So good. We also ordered these amazing chicken sliders, can't remember the exact name (not on the HH anymore apparently) but they had fresh mozzarella and a Guac sauce that just brought it all together! Also typically comes with pico de gallo, I just always ask for pico to be removed for me. And the fries that came with the sliders were so tasty and HOT. Loved that entree option. Then of course we had to get another set of cheese curds before HH ended, because I mean.... Yummmmm! Okay and then we went a little overboard and ordered the Blackberry Creme Brûlée (but I mean, tell me that doesn't already sound amazing?!) and it was as good as it sounds. The pepper jelly is the best - not spicy at all. Fries are some of the best I've had! We had a 50% success rate with our dipping sauces. We ordered the roasted garlic aioli and habanero aioli. We will hard pass on the habanero next time. Not really as hot as I feel like it should be for being "habanero". Wings were maybe the only disappointment of the night. I've had them before in their other locations and they're great! These were crispy, which is awesome, but painfully dry. Dropped in tonight as our AirBNB was about 6 blocks away and we wanted somewhere local with good food and beer. We happened in on a night that the WNBA was playing. The pub was very lively with fans! We started with a pitcher of Ziggy Zoggy lager. It was a seasonal local beer and we were very happy that the waitress suggested it. We then continued with chips and salsa. Freshly fried tortilla chips and salsa roja started our meal out great. Very flavorful. My partner ordered flautas and I ordered a buffalo burger, fries and habanero aioli. The food was awesome. We finished off with a pitcher of Pyramid Hefeweizen and our waitress Ashley brought us a bourbon bread pudding. It was a fabulous way to end our most fabulous day. Ashley was an amazing waitress. She was very attentive even though they were busy and gave us some awesome local tips on how to enjoy the rest of our trip. Been here three times before the coronavirus. Food and service has always been great, there's enough to chose from on the menu. Food and drinks are excellent. Place gets packed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday's. Now that they have reopened the few tables that they have get filled very fast. So that leaves having to phone in an order and pick it up. Don't listen to the short time they tell you that your food is going to be ready. Triple the time they give you because it's happened ever time so far! Well, it was fun while it lasted. I understand Covid and all the challenges it has presented. I get the labor market is insane. But this place is a shadow of its former self. All the other restaurants in the area have returned to table service yet The Bridge still is forcing folks to order in a long line at the bar (which is especially neat when the bartenders serve their barfly friends first) All the great waitstaff left for other restaurants where they could get paid. The bartender tonight is beyond surly to the point of caring less if he has any customers. We have been at this tipping point before, but kept coming back because we are adamant about supporting local neighborhood businesses. The menu hasn't changed in years. Service is poor. The one bright spot is that Chuckanut Kolsch is FINALLY on tap after four years of asking (although it has been on tap at sister bar The Point all along). Decided to give them another shot so I brought my friend over for brunch yesterday, first off we witnessed one of the bartenders hit a customer's car while parking-twice. Second, we had ordered quiet a bit for two people-3 appetizers and a biscuit plate, as well as a couple of drinks because we thought we were going to lounge around for a little while. I decided to take a break from eating, we had only been there for maybe 30 mins & both my plates were a little less than halfway done, so I got up to order drinks bc you have to go up to the bar, and by the time I turned around all my food was thrown away. I was never offered a box, you'd think with that much food left over you would ask. Then when I went to go pay for the tab & tell the waiter about the food issue, all I was offered was a dry biscuit AND my friend paid for what I was suppose to pay and vice versa, when I was very explicit on who was paying for what. So, thanks for charging me a $70 tab and throwing half my food away, I will DEFINITELY not be returning here & best believe I will be telling all my west Seattle friends about the experience :-) read more

Okay I'll be honest, I didn't have that high of expectations. I thought it would be more generic, average pub/bar food BUT NO! This place is DAMN DELICIOUS! Reminded me of like the Elliot Bay Brew house but better. I'll definitely be back to try more on their menu. We came from brunch on a Monday. Only a couple breakfast options, including the chicken fried steak and the breakfast sandwich. Breakfast sandwich 10/10. The caramelized onions in the egg with the mayo and soft bun. Wow. Echoing the review below, the new service model really should be explained by the staff when you decide to sit in the booths. I guess they assume that you'll figure it out on your own once you sit there for 10 minutes wondering why no one is helping you. Food will be delivered, but not drinks. You have to go back and forth between the booths and bar to pick up your own drinks. This is by far my favorite sports bar in the Morgan junction. The coors light is always crisp and refreshing. The fried cheese curds are the best I've ever had, and they have sports on the TVs. I love bringing my two dogs here and sitting out back in the patio when it's nice out. I've had a lot on the menu here but most recently I got their blt sandwich that has avocado. It was definitely a solid choice but I think next time I'll do the chicken caprese sliders again since those are my favorites. read more

We decided to give brunch a try since a neighbor seems to enjoy The Bridge. We showed up at 12:30 when brunch ends at 2:00. Upon placing our order, we were informed there was only one biscuit left in the restaurant, so only one of us got our actual order...sort of. Not having biscuits knocks out half their brunch menu. My friend ordered avocado toast only to be informed they were out of avocados. She ended up ordering an eggs Benedict with Texas toast since I got the last biscuit apparently. The other person in our party ended up ordering a grilled cheese since he doesn't like eggs and with biscuits off the menu, he had few other options. He tried to order an appetizer only to be told they don't serve those until 1:00. It was 12:50 by this time. The drinks were good. I will say that. Which is why the 2 stars. After we saw three other tables come and go who were sat after or around the same time as us, one of our dishes came out, and it was wrong. Simple fix of swapping out hash browns for potatoes. They disappeared and came out with the grilled cheese, then asked if we wanted something else. One of us asked for a refill on his drink and she dashed off before the remainder of the table could also ask. (In fairness, to order drinks, you're supposed to go to the bar, so this is a minor gripe, but after being out of everything, slow service, and an incorrect order, we thought it was a small kindness they could show.) When the server finally arrived with the remainder of the orders (both benes, one with last biscuit, one with toast) the server looked at us and said they ran out of hollandaise sauce and did their best to scrape the pot and divide equally. Sigh. I dig in only to discover my biscuit could have been used in the next Kraken game. The lack of sauce was very noticeable. To top it off, the grilled cheese was apparently ice cold. None of us felt like complaining by this time because it was almost too funny by this point. We just wanted to eat and get out. The food we had was mostly tasty and I could see how it could be very good if things had gone differently in the kitchen. I just don't see how you can have a very limited brunch menu and then be out of almost everything by noon. We were told to look at the lunch menu instead, initially, but then discovered they wouldn't let us order off of it til 1:00 (save the grilled cheese). I understand supply chains and all that, but come on... in the time it took us to get our food, they could have made another batch of biscuits and some more sauce. After all, they still had an hour and a half until brunch ended, and many more groups came in after us. I don't think we'll be dining here again, which is a shame. I'm not normally one to pick a sports bar, but I came in for the brunch- and it is AMAZING! Every time I come here it is amazing. I've had everything from the French toast, scrambles, pancake specials and burgers and it never disappoints. Their drinks and service are always on par as well. One part I really love though is that they have some board games you can play (def play the 90s game, you can google the game instructions), and the wait staff never looks at you like you should hurry up and get out like they do at other places. California Avenue keeps putting on a nice outfit every time you see it coming down the hall. You turn around for a few weeks, and it puts on another place that's nicer than what used to be there. The Bridge spruced up its new location when its old location got condo-ized (or something). It's not by the bridge anymore, but many of us still need to cross the bridge to get to it. It's clear that this place would be an awesome spot to watch the game, but I definitely didn't feel dominated by big TVs coming in here mid-summer. maybe they drop projection screens for the Hawks? Dunno. Prolly. What they are, when the game's not on, is a nice place with a central bar flanked by rows of stools, surrounded by lots of tables and booths. It's spacious and comfortable, and seems like it's probably usually pretty busy. The staff are super nice and right on point throughout the meal. Good service, well-times visits, pleasant, funny, good mixed drinks. Well, I can vouch for the beers being good, but I have it on good authority the mixed stuff was good. We had bacon-wrapped dates--pretty awesome. Dates could be even bigger for me, but the dish is great as is. Chicken caprese sliders looked delicious; fries were great. The peppercorn skirt steak was delicious. They do a nice job of giving you a balance between quiet, dim corner watering hole and a nice place you can bring anyone for a drink or a casual meal. The food is good and the beer is cold. I was nice and friendly with the guy behind the counter and I knew what I wanted to order (wasn't wasting his time). He was a little snippy with me when ordering and was annoyed when we sat down after ordering. They have signs that say order at the bar and provide the table number, which we did, and the transaction seemed over based on the conversation flow with the bartender so we sat down. Well I guess we were supposed to wait for our drinks then carry them to our table ourselves. He yelled at us several times with a tone like we were idiots. The only table service they provide is bringing the food to the table. But how were we supposed to know that? It's not stated on the signs. After our food was delivered, an employee brought a drink to a table next to us so I guess they do provide table service for drinks? There's a way to not start a tab but I think it's if you're just drinking. When you're done, you have to stand in line again at the bar to pay your tab. After 2 people with social distancing, the line gets a good distance away from the bar which is close to the booths. My point is you've got someone's ass inches from your plate or beverage so don't sit in the booths across from the bar unless you're into that sorta thing. I don't like their "system" as it is different from other restaurants and 21+ establishments in WS in the covid era. Maybe they have a reason for it but it's not customer friendly and relies on mind reading and "if then" situations that change randomly. It's definitely an employee market these days so the guy behind the counter should go get a job somewhere else. The Bridge should give more than a little Jell-O shot size container of ketchup with burgers and fries. The burgers and fries are pretty good size. The thimble full of ketchup is laughable. I would have rated lower than 3/5 because of the employee but the food and beer are so good. Businesses supposedly really need money from customers these days. I don't expect you to kiss my ass, just don't treat customers negatively multiple times during the visit. read more
