Pink fuzzy rug greeted us upon walking in as well as some vibrant tinsel. Vibes on 10. This spot is very LGBTQIA friendly and it's obvious the second you walk in - green flag!!!! Not knowing that they were doing sing along brunch, we came in here just for drinks. Would love to try the food in the future though! As we were cheersing, the DJ and obvious bar partner Richard, came over to us and demanded to take a shot with us. He made our god damn DAYYYYY. Richard chatted with us, joked with us, bought me a birthday shot, and literally just felt like a true genuine friend. We live in Tacoma but Admiral Pub has a regular in me all because of Richard. Service is fast and friendly. The drinks are well priced. The food is pretty dang tasty given that it's a small little pub. This is a fun place to come and watch a game. Especially a great vibe for a Manchester United Game. They open early for almost all of the games and put it on the big screen with audio throughout so that there is not a bad seat in the house. Everyone is friendly. This place can be either slammed or empty depending on what event is going on, but overall, is a good pub in west seattle to come, hangout, watch some games, grab some grab, and play some pinball or other games. They have a pretty busy and full calendar, so always good to see what they have going on each week. Fun place, and has a lot more to offer than your standard bar/pub. read more

Order anything and everything except the wings. Dope local spot. Lots of pinball. Events almost every night - karaoke, trivia, bingo, etc. Fabulous host full of fun and charisma. Drink specials are worth noting too. The Pomakazi is as a hit with my table. The burger sliders were also top notch! Beers and shots are plentiful. Lots of n/a brew options. And like 20 freakin pinball machines. However, the wings were a huge bummer. They don't have a fryer, so I get that you gotta do what you can. But I have never once in my life had a baked chicken wing that I loved. Soggy and sad at worst. Adequate at best. IMO just nix them from the menu and stick to the things that you can deliver on. I've only been to Admiral Pub for their Rocky Horror Picture Show viewing parties, but enjoyed the two times I've been. The hosts are fun and the bar goes a good job setting up the TVs, audio, tables, and props to help with the riffing. There are also themed drinks. I hosted my birthday party at Admiral Pub, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owners went above and beyond -- they created custom trivia based on the themes I suggested, were wonderfully welcoming to the kids (the pinball machines and claw machines were a huge hit), and even surprised me with a cake topped with a sparkler candle that made everyone cheer. We got to do karaoke, enjoy great food, and collaborate on every detail; their communication was fantastic from start to finish.Richard, the trivia host, brought incredible energy and added fun birthday moments between rounds that made the whole night feel personal and joyful. I attend their trivia nights every week, and their karaoke, bingo, and sing‑along brunches are always a blast -- the French toast sticks are my favorite. Everyone I've brought here has loved the atmosphere, and it's one of the few places where everyone -- even dogs -- feels welcome.I highly recommend hosting your next party here (kids allowed before 6pm) or just coming by for one of their many events. First time here and was disappointed in the bad service and absolutely terrible food. The meatballs in my meatball sub tasted like they were overcooked in a microwave. I spent $15+ on an inedible sandwich. The bingo was fun at least and I'm sure it's a fun place to watch a game. read more

I live on the Eastside but make an effort to come here whenever I can. Between the outgoing and gregarious owners, the amazing chicken wings and burgers (both available gluten free I'd requested), awesome bartenders, and an amazing kitchen staff and patrons who treat you like you are going into the bar "Cheers" - you know, sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name... and their always glad you came ... This place is superbly one part sports bar, one part local cool dive, slowly becoming a corner stone in the LGBTQ+ family, as well as having tons of sweet pinball games, karaoke, darts, and trivia it's hard to have a bad time here. The bartender is a great guy and made us feel right at home. They have some tables that are real close to the televisions and I can see coming back for more football and beer. I went to the Admiral Pub to have a drink and see the Dolly Madison show. Saul the bartender was as a douche. My boyfriend and I were sat at the bar and he put my beer down next to the fruit / garnish caddy. He served another customer and flipped the caddy lid and it spilled my beer! His response was "you're in the flip zone" and tossed me a tag to clean up the spill!! He did not even offer to top up my beer that he spilled! My boyfriend later went to ask about the nachos and his was response was "I don't fucking know" and turned and walked away!! WTF what kind of customer service is that. It's one thing if it's late in the night and close to closing but this was 8.30pm!! A group nearby ordered lemon pepper chicken wings and said they tasted of bratwursts!! The show was great, the female bartender was lovely but Saul and the food need a lot of work. read more

I am a new to the West Seattle area. The Admiral Pub is a welcoming environment with an excellent team to greet you and provide you a true WSeattle experience! Good bar fare and quality experience. Great happy hour. Check out the menu beforehand so you know what to expect. What they do serve is tasty and prices are reasonable. Love to bring my (adult) family and friends here when they come in town for a visit as it provides fun for all with ski ball, sports coverage on the big screens and the most excellent array of pinball machines! One my absolute favorite places. The staff can not be beat. They're fun, entertaining and wicked fast. The food menu was all updated with the new ownership and it's awesome. Ignore any old reviews about food it's completely different now. Speaking of ownership, the owners are awesome and super involved. They have themed nights which is so fun... This is a decent dive. Stopped in for a bite and a brew, was pleasantly surprised by the spot-on crispy Fish and Chips, a flavorful red by Deschutes, friendly service and clean tables. Yes, it's a dive: that means Guns and Roses, AC/DC and other drivel on the juke, and muscle-shirt and backwards baseball-cap-wearing, Camero-driving misspelled-tattoo-sporting, "yo like dude totally", Coors and Budweiser stuff. You either think it's funny and fun, or you don't. But it's so bloody obvious the minute you walk in, if you are complaining about it, you are really just someone who likes to complain. Solution: shut your pie hole and go to one of the soulless quinoa salad and $15 cocktail joints down the street. Do us all a favor. Recommended for increasingly hard-to-find old-fashioned ungentrified fun in yuppified, gentrified West Seattle. read more

Great place for activities ... karaoke, skeeball, bingo, pinball, and more. Their grill is good, if nothing to write home about. My critique is patrons willingness to accept LGBTQ+ other patrons. I'm 'T' and have received either silence and distance or overt hostility from other patrons. This is a fun place with a great owner. However, in the three times I've been there, I've done six bar orders....three drink orders and three food orders. On Tuesday, September 19, the guy bar tender shorted me. My bad. I should have counted the change right then. On Tuesday, September 26, the gal bar tender changed the prices on two different food orders. She didn't give me receipts. When I complained she had some really odd reasons why the price was different from the menu. These bar tenders seem to be pocketing extra money. The owner needs to know this or he is in on it. Apparently I should be in Mary T's age group and not my own, because I felt like the demographic for this place too. I liked it here! I wish they had more booths and seating was a bit different, but overall, it just said "bar" to me more than a lot of other places I've been along to lately. Trivia, jute box, pool tables, dart boards, etc. I only had water here, I knew I was coming down with something Friday night, and it hit me pretty hard during the course of the day Saturday. (Ha! I'm NOT patient zero then!) But there was no way I was missing Mtizie's b-day, and after all of the oohing and aahing and moaning and groaning about the mac-n-cheese triangles here, I wasn't going home until we stopped in. I have never in my life experienced something quite along the lines of Kraft mac-n-cheese forced into triangles and then deep fried w/in an inch of it's life. There are so many things wrong with the whole idea as to make it so right, it's bordering on Holy. The service was great. Real, genuine smiles and helpful nature. Love to go back for more good times, mac n cheese and next time so I can drink too! =) read more

After taking my parents all over Seattle to see different views of downtown it was time for a break. My mother had hinted about 'pull tabs' knowing that you can play them in restaurants/bars in WA. I decided to take them to one of my favorite places, the Admiral Pub. So besides tasty fried mac 'n cheese the Admiral Pub also has pull tabs people! We grab a seat at the window so my pops could watch what ever sports was on one of the many TVs placed through out the pub. I purchase pull tabs for my mom, the first $20.00 are duds but she's not done. I decided to play with her so I get two more $20.00 baskets and woo hoo I won $205.00 unfortunately mom won nothing. We had some ice teas (my parents don't drink, I wonder where I get it from) and some chips and salsa before taking them to the airport for them to head home. Oh and for those to like to play poker on Tuesday nights they now have poker night starting at 6 or 7 but you need to sign up early because apparently it fills up quick. read more

I am very disappointed in my last visit at Admiral Pub. Which is really sad, I have been going to this bar for 8 years regularly. It has been a go to for my wife and I, on the rare occasions we have an opportunity to go on a date. Spent many nights playing pool, singing karaoke, throwing darts, making new friends, listening to live music, watching sports, eating bar food, back when life was normal. Sad to say that tradition may have come to an end over pretentious bar tenders and a shitty ambiance. We were out for a quick date night, celebrating our 5 year anniversary. 90% of our visit was a plesent evening (minus the over priced well liquor). Nonetheless, as we were leaving, we stood up to walk to the door (from the back patio), taking the last sip of our beer after paying our tab, and got called out by another customer. She rudely yells, "if you're going to be standing there in the tent could you put your masks on!?" as she sits the same distance away from me, as I am from her, while she's comfortably yelling mask free.. And I'm not trying to play the victim card, my wife and I had words to return. Then triggered by our response she hops up, and yells," that's it, you guys are never coming back here again!" As if she owns the place (maybe she does). She races us inside to tell on us like a 3rd grader. As we are near the counter heading out the front door, we hear her tattle telling that we refused to wear a mask, as if we hadn't worn one the entire night. Which each and every time I got up to order a drink or use the restroom, I wore my mask in compliance, as did my wife. Where we got really irritated was when we had something to say to the woman as she was telling on us, the bar tender she was talking to, essentially condemned us as well. Telling us "oh no let's not do that!" As if we don't have the freedom to speak, instead of allowing us to give a response to defend ourselves. Anyways, we left right then and there. The context that is missing is that the entire time from 7 - 9pm, my wife and I had to sit in the back corner, while listening to volger jokes about sex and masterbation and people running around the tent, mask free.. which we didn't necessarily mind... up until we were the ones being condemned for standing while taking the last sip of the warm foam in the bottom of our pint glasses headed towards the exit. Earlier in the evening also witnessed a bar tender innocently and playfully hugging one of the customers around the neck while the customer was sitting at his table, mask free. This bar tender was obviously not practicing social distancing. Multiple times that I went back inside to order another drink, I saw one of the bar tenders mask free, quickly fidgeting to put it on as a customer approached the counter. Again I had no issues with any of these incidents, until we became the only suspects of non compliance to covid-19 regulations, when we were the most compliment out of any guest there, including the employees, the entire night. A bit hypocritical if you ask me. So sad that a tradition is ruined, and our celebratory anniversary is tainted with a bad memory it'll make a great story for telling friends, relatives and new people we meet, where NOT to go P.s. Since new ownership has taken place, this place is not the same. read more

The owners of this establishment were incredibly unfriendly. I typically don't pay much attention to the service, but this place was particularly bad. I was there with a group of international people for drinks, and the waiter (who identified himself as the owner) was very rude. While I understand that leaving generous tips is a common practice in American culture, as a business owner, one should also show respect to those who may not be aware of this custom. The individuals in my group paid for their drinks and didn't deserve to be asked to leave solely because they left a small tip. read more

I love this Pub and for more than just the food. The staff are amazing, thoughtful and professional (and sometimes West Seattle classy) that have a reputation for taking care of their customers from all walks of life. The food is traditional pub style food, but always made to perfection. It's a full bar, lots of TV screens for sports and the staff will take requests (except when the Seahawks, Huskies or Mariners are playing) and they have pool, darts and even skee-ball. This is one of my favorite dive bars in West Seattle. They have the best sports games with pool, darts, ski ball, ping pong in beer pong. They have live music some nights and karaoke on others. The food is definitely barfood but you don't come here to eat a delicious meal but they have a decent burger fries etc. This place always has all the good sporting games on with her college football or the Seahawks and they always get a good turnout and crowd. On Friday nights and Saturday nights you could also come here for a while time. read more

Tonight I visited the The Admiral Pub and I witnessed something that really disturbed me. My bartender Vivian poorly addressed a problem that should have been handled a lot differently. A young woman was berated and verbally attacked by an older gentleman over her attire. She was wearing a Giants shirt and a man rudely got in her face and continued to attack her verbally. Not only was she not protected but she was then thrown out of the bar and left to be continuously berated by this man as Vivian made a poor call and defended the gentleman. This is not the behavior I expect visiting this pub and I hope that changes can be made in the right direction. One star and don't come after 12am if you're a woman. Seriously. read more

Friendly gal behind the bar...(her name escapes me though...) Decent selection of local and big brand brews. And a pretty tasty selection of happy-hour food! AND...and... you can't go wrong with pull tabs! :-D Tip though, their happy hour deals are only on food, not on beverages... which just means you can enjoy your beer in peace knowing you're not rushed to get one before happy-hour ends.
