I got the crab Thai curry shakshuka, which was really good--lots of flavor and, most importantly, lots of crab in the crab cake. Always a win! The pork belly eggs Benedict was also delicious. Their hollandaise was especially good, and I'm pretty picky about hollandaise, so that was a pleasant surprise. The potatoes were also really well done. The staff was very friendly, and the overall vibe was casual, calm, and welcoming. Service was good as well. Love coming here when I'm in West Seattle. If I still lived in North Admiral I'd be here all the time! We came for brunch and managed to snag a table on a Saturday before things got busy. Totally forgot to review a brunch experience I had here a few months ago, oops! We were meeting up with some close friends and they suggested Arthur's. Truthfully I had never heard of it but the menu sounded delicious so we gave the go ahead. It's in a cute area of West Seattle that I haven't really explored much. It was easy to find and there was ample parking around the building. We also discovered the cutest bar across the street afterwards (shoutout West Admiral Pub!) after, so it was the perfect spot for a leisurely Sunday brunch. The inside is light, bright, and airy. Natural light made it feel really refreshing and welcoming. I loved all of the plants too! I don't have a green thumb so I appreciate spots that are able to incorporate greenery into their everyday decor successfully. I'm a sucker for corned beef so I was stoked to see a Corned Beef Benedict on the menu. It comes with slow roasted beef brisket, sauerkraut, egg, thousand island hollandaise, grand central sourdough, and herbed skillet potato. My GOOOOODNESS. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was so freakin good! The corned beef was cooked to perfection and that thousand island hollandaise!? Insane. So unique and was SO delicious. We were in Seattle on a Saturday morning and found this place to have brunch. We loved the vibe of the place with a lot of plants and friendly service. We were seated immediately. We got the Ayurvedic Lentil soup, Spring Garden Benedict, and Pork Belly Benedict. The Ayurvedic Lentil soup was amazing, we got it with chicken. I would skip the chicken next time, we would have enjoyed it even without the chicken. We loved the bread that came with it. I loved the Spring Garden Benedict, the charred asparagus, radish and tarragon hollandaise were amazing. This restaurant is located in the North Admiral neighborhood in West Seattle. There's a mix of neighborhood, street, and pay-to-park options. I highly recommend the free neighborhood parking option. The vibe of this restaurant is a bright, airy, and full of foliage. The space is comfortable and perfect for the group or solo dining. Seating options are either booths, regular tables, high tops, and bar top. Their liquor collection is decent and they do have seasonal craft cocktails. Side note, they only accept reservations for parties of 6 or more. For brunch, I went with their shakshuka & thai crab cake. The dish had a delicious red curry tomato sauce with bell peppers, lemongrass, and garlic. There was small thai-style crab cake nestled in the center of the dish and topped with a poached egg. This was served with 2 pieces of toasted bread. The dish was amazing! The sauce paired perfectly with the crab cake and poached egg. The toasted bread was perfect for scooping up the curry tomato sauce. The portion size for this dish was on the smaller side and could just be an appetizer. I also ordered a KettleOne martini with a twist, which was properly made and served in a chilled Nick & Nora glass. Food 3/5 I ordered the burger. It was honestly delightful. Not the best burger I've ever had but definitely something I would recommend on the menu. The fries are delicious. My mom ordered the fresh spring Benedict, which she really enjoyed as well. It was a little different. The sauce taste very fresh, but it was very enjoyable. I ordered the French toast. They were very delicious. Very yummy if you love coconut this is going to be your ultimate favorite French toast ever. my mom ordered the pancakes.. now that's a different story. We were expecting the pancakes to be very delicious cause obviously look at them. They look so delightful but I don't know if it was just the batch they made that day or if this is what their recipe is, we took a bite from the pancake and it felt like it almost fizzed in our mouth. I don't know if they put baking soda or something in their pancake mix but the pancake was honestly very terrible which was very upsetting because we specifically came to this location for their pancakes because they look so delicious. The plating is phenomenal, again I don't know if it was just the batch this day, but we were very disappointing. Service 4/5 Service was great. They are very nice although we did take a while to be ready to order the food but we did order drinks first. Daughter working from home today & wife at a meeting in South Seattle, so I made the run to West Seattle to take her to lunch. I was just thinking of fast food but she suggested a neighborhood place she's been wanting to try for awhile. Walked the block to Arthur's and chose to sit outside as it was a nice day. Cute little place was doing a nice business; not busy but brisk. I decided on the Classic Burger, she got the Classic breakfast, and some kind of matcha latte, which she felt was overly sweet. California Ave traffic wasn't bad at that time so it was a pleasant sidewalk experience. Burger was great; she really liked her breakfast but had to take some home. Cute chirpy birds in the trees, luckily not overhead. She was happy to get a lunch break instead of just working through as usual. I'm sure she'll be back with her roommates soon. read more

The kofta and halloumi plate was nicely presented, but the kofta were in the dry side and it my companion commented that one would have expected two pieces of cheese to accompany two poached eggs. The mussels were very tasty, with a lot of broth. A spoon or more bread would have enabled my companion to finish it up. (Granted, he could have asked...) The Lebanese chicken sandwich was okay. The bread was good, nice slaw, and a sufficient amount of chicken, but it was on the dry side. The accompanying shoestring fries were delicious though. Pros: * The spot is decently decorated, and has a decent vibe. * The space is child friendly with good high chairs, and has crayons and a coloring matte for the kiddos. * Children's portions were pretty decent * The staff was excellent and very kind and friendly. Cons: To start, my sparkling pink lemonade mocktail was awful and watered down. Also, the portion sizes were absolutely abysmal. I knew something was up when our cheese curds appetizer has roughly 8 tiny pieces. My main course was an absolute joke- I got the Cypriot and it featured 1 tiny piece of seared halloumi, 1 cartoonishly small donor kebab (ONE!!!) a tiny little thimble of olives and a mid salad. The halloumi was probably the best part, but otherwise all other components were so incredibly underwhelming, portion size aside. My wife got the Coconut French toast and while the portion was bigger, we couldn't even finish it because the texture of the French toast was unbearable and not to mention the coconut flakes were burnt. All of that to not even mention I am pretty sure one of the components was missing from my salad (the Vegemite dressing.) On top of all of that, our food took forever to come out. Our 14 month old, who typically does great at restaurants had to be walked around outside multiple times due to how frustrated she was getting with how long everything took. This was one of the worst restaurants experiences I've had in years- I left the restaurant more hungry than when I came in. And certainly more pissed off. Do not recommend. read more

I selected a dish the was followed by a V+ (indicating Vegan) and confirmed with the server that the aioli listed with the dish was indeed vegan. She said that was a good assumption, but would confirm with the chef. It turned out not only the aioli, but the 2nd sauce that came with the dish were NOT vegan (the other had fish sauce). This place was nice, vibe was modern and clean. Loved it's big so no 20 minute wait to be seated. Staff was super nice, accommodated every request. Food was great. The steak was outstanding. I do love this place. The service is great and one of my favorite things about breakfast are the potatoes. My only gripe is that a simple egg breakfast (not pictured) is pretty pricey. This place is awesome! I came for Friday lunch around 12 and The place had a good bustle to it, but was also a bit calm, great for chill conversations. I was curious as to why this was Australian brunch and the interior definitely had the Australian vibes with the white brick interior and rustic modern finish. As for the food, it's also Mediterranean inspired with some Asian elements. For example, they had like Thai crabcakes and Mediterranean cheeses. The food came out pretty fast and had good portion sizes, because we wanted to do family style, the waiter gave us 3 serving planes and they also were gracious in their service to give us three new serving plates as we were finishing up with the ricotta pancakes for dessert (very attentive). Been wanting to try Arthur's forever, but for one reason or another it's never worked into the breakfast plan. Until today!!! And what a treat it was! There was plenty of street parking (granted, it was a weekday) and the day was beautiful so we sat outside. Service was quick and we were immediately given a nice table. I started my power breakfast with their Bloody Mary. The Bloody came in a pint glass, so good size right off the bat. It had a nice blend of their house mix and didn't come off overly strong with the alcohol. It had a little spice too it, but nothing overwhelming or painful. It was garnished with a wedge of lime, a wedge of lemon and a green olive. Very tasty. After reviewing the variety of delicious looking items, I decided to go with an old stand by: pancakes, eggs and bacon, the Ricotta Pancakes dish. When my food arrived, it looked so pretty. 2 large pancakes, 2 slices of thick bacon and 2 eggs over easy. The dish came with a small bowl of whipped butter and a small maple syrup. After buttering my pancakes, I popped a bite into my mouth. They were so good. I immediately tasted butter, a little sweetness and they had a cakey AND crunchy texture. They were cooked perfect. The bacon was crisp but not overdone. Unfortunately, my eggs that were supposed to be over easy had been cooked hard. But in my mind the pancakes were the star and they did not disappoint. Arthur's is a great restaurant in the Admiral district. I recently went there for brunch, which is served on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 9 AM. It was very easy to find street parking in this area at that time of day. The left side of the building is the restaurant, the right side is the bar, and they also have plenty of outdoor seating. I was greeted right away and they let me choose my own table. The brunch menu has a wide selection of items: breakfast bowls, egg benedicts, pancakes, salads, and sandwiches. I ordered the Pulled Pork Benedict (sourdough bread, poached eggs, hollandaise, braised pork shoulder, and onions, served with herbed skillet potatoes). The pork was a tiny bit spicy, which I was not expecting, but overall I liked my food. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was good. I look forward to trying some of the other items on their menu though. My server was cool. She took my order promptly and kept my coffee cup full but she also made an effort for some friendly conversation, which is always nice. The prices are a little higher here than what I'm used to, but they admit this on the website and say it is because of increases in food cost, supply chain issues, etc. Overall, I've really liked the food and service here, so I would definitely recommend it. read more

The food was very mediocre lukewarm, and when we were able to get our waitresses attention and let her know this, she told us it was because it was a brunch meal. She was not curious in the least of how she could make this right with us. Never once did she come back to us and ask how our meal was or how she could make it better. Meanwhile, my friend and I have heated up the food in a pan at home that should've been offered up by our server to have the kitchen do when we were there. We ordered a $60 bottle of wine and had another appetizer so it's clear that we were not trying to be cheap.
