I have visited this bar a few times and it always has a cool vibe, but overall, I am not a big fan. First the food is just ok. The burger looks delicious but consistently lacks flavor. However, the tater tots are excellent. While I have encountered a couple of great bartenders, my last visit was marred by staff who appeared extremely negative and angry. One cook, carrying something hot, unexpectedly came through a quiet corner in the back and started yelling at patrons to move, despite no prior traffic in that area for over two hours that we were sitting there. It would have been more considerate to ensure the path was clear before proceeding, as this incident unnecessarily put people in danger and caused undue stress as we were getting up and ready to leave.

If you're looking for a dive bar, you've arrived! They have a little bit of everything you could be looking for. Outdoor patio with fire pits, happy hour, solid food, dive bar vibes, TVs with the essentials and much more. We live close by so we often order out their tavern burgers and fries, their fries order is a huge portion. The bartenders are attentive and fun. No frills, all the fun and no pressure, love this spot

I only had a chance to have a drink but I love the low key vibe with bit of seedy pub ish feel. Outdoor has a little fire pit you cam sit around. I had a glass of cava and it was decent price. I would def come back again! Oh and it has a parking.... it makes a huge difference in this current seattle status

Tavern Burger with shoestring fries

I really enjoy this place. the ambiance and decor are perfect for this part of the city and simply because of the age of this establishment. There are always quite a few people there no matter what time I go which is mostly for lunch or happy hour. They have definitely established a regular crowd over the many years. My favorite is the Tavern Burger. Substantial and only $7! and they have shoestring fries which are my favorite. Great service and will keep going back.

We went to Star Brass on Sunday afternoon to get together with a group of about 8 others for drinks and lunch. Such a fun spot! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! They were on top of the orders, drinks, requests, fire pits. Everything! We really appreciated it all. They have great bar food! I ended up with fish and chips - definitely the best I've had here in the seattle area. The batter was nice and crispy, while the fish was fresh. I loved the shoe string fries as well! We also ordered some tots and onion rings for the table. The small size of both were perfect for about 4 people. Both apps were hits and we enjoyed them with allll the dipping sauces! We'll totally be returning to Star Brass! Such a fantastic option in the Georgetown area.

Double tavern burger

I've only been during the day or just after work - but I have always found it to be a laid back place to eat and hang out with surprisingly good food. I especially like the Tavern burger, or the double tavern burger - depending on how hungry I am. It's like a fast food burger but perfected - a perfect balance of meat and cheese and bun and not a bunch else. More complex things I have gotten on their menu have also been good. And they always have nice selection of beer and great bar tenders for mixed drinks. I like their big outside area - always plenty of seating. The inside is cozy and warm.

Came here on a Wednesday night looking for bars in Georgetown good for groups. They have a large outdoor space but the inside is also much more spacious then I was expecting from pictures. The inside is cozy and the bathrooms are clean. Drinks were good and a great value especially compared to standard Seattle drink prices. For food we got fries (very hot and a large serving, enough for 2-3 people), steak bites, the house salad, and wings and were very happy with all of the above. Definitely want to try the $7 burger next time I come in! Service was great, all staff we interacted with were friendly and made the experience very positive.

Veggie reuben & standard fries

This was a great, semi-random find. I was down in Georgetown for other purposes a few weeks ago when I walked by and saw their sandwich board sign promising really cold beer. Right up my alley! I ended up going here on a weekend right as they opened. Vegetarian options are very, very slim - for the most part you can sub a veggie patty on a burger (no idea what kind of patty), or you can get a veggie Rueben, but I really like Ruebens so I decided to go ahead and give it go...especially for really cold beer! I was basically the first one in for the day, so service was super quick and friendly. I was disappointed that the beer wasn't really cold, but I got to try Jellyfish brewing (which is right down the street) for the first time and that was lovely. The Rueben, from a visual standpoint, left a lot to be desired. It looked really burnt and kinda sad, but they simply used a dark rye that ended up being really good with a perfect amount of toasty. Tavern sauce was also quite good. Just like everywhere else it's mayo mixed with....I don't remember what I thought it was?! Now I kinda want to try it again! From a vegetarian standpoint, this isn't going to be somewhere I frequent, but it has a pretty nice vibe and it would be great for a mixed group.

Came here by chance to chat with my girl, while the boys played pool nextdoor. The drinks were great; the alcoholic slushie wasn't too alcoholic and therefore enjoyable but beware of brain freezes, and the other cocktails were equally dangerously delicious. The bartendress was kind enough to share her custom cocktail with us too, and it did not disappoint.

Great dive bar. Excellent cocktails and tavern burger was superb. Half order of fries are plenty and the music is very entertaining.

I'm gonna be real with y'all - ya girl was HUNGOVER as all hell coming to this place. I was at the point where nothing was going to help besides hair of the dog, so... A Bloody Mary it was. I asked for it a tad spicy and it came prettttyyyy spicy, but my stomach also wasn't at it's normal state that day, so who knows. They come topped with olives, bacon, and pepperoni. At first I wasn't digging that, but after I sucked some of the drink down and came alive again, the bacon was tasting really good! Staff is friendly, they've got tons of space, and there's a solid food menu (didn't order but lots sounded good). Definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot. Don't expect to walk into something fancy, it's definitely just a dive but it's fun, fairly clean, and prices are fair. We'll be back!

A pint of beer will cost you $8.50 with tax but without tip, so that's basically $10! Service was a bit slow and not too friendly, but definitely not rude. There are much better options on the area for both beer and bars, so I will not be returning anytime soon.

I got the St. Germaine spritz and we shared the lemongrass steak nachos, frites, and kimchi arancini! St Germaine spritz: I love a cocktail/alcoholic beverage that is on the sweeter side. I don't really love when can I taste the alcohol in a mixed drink so this drink was definitely up my alley. It was super refreshing and had a nice bubblyness to it. Lemongrass steak nachos: the lemongrass was definitely a standout taste in these nachos which I loved! I loved the combo of the fresh ingredients like the cilantro, lemongrass, and cabbage with the steak and queso, it helped to balance all the flavors and didn't feel heavy Frites: pretty standard tasting fries, not too skinny and not too thick which I liked! The chili mayo had a nice smoky sweet flavor and it was a great dipping sauce! Kimchi Arancini: these were crispy and had a nice gooey cheese in the middle which definitely had a cheese pull. The kimchi taste I felt was relatively mild which is great for people that don't want such a strong sour kimchi flavor, I love kimchi so I could've definitely had it stronger. They do give you a side of kimchi to go with it, but I didn't love the kimchi it came with. I'm used to getting kimchi from Hmart or other Asian grocery stores but this was pretty mid to me. Overall I would definitely come back to try their other dishes and cocktails! Their brunch menu looks good and I'll probably be back for that next time.

The cauliflower dish feels almost like a fresh salad, light and easy to eat, and the gnocchi with chipotle sauce had a nice subtle kick. The focaccia and sardines paired perfectly with champagne and white wine. Right next door is Homer, a very popular restaurant, and I've been to both--but honestly, I prefer this place. Maybe it's a bit less trendy because there aren't many main-course options, but everything I've tried here has been consistently delicious. Overall, it's just a comfortable, inviting spot that's perfect when you want good food and a relaxed drink. Also staff are friendly and welcoming. I've been back many times and will definitely keep coming.
