Today was my first time coming to eat here. The food was excellent, and the service was just the same!!

This seems to appeal to those that want a large country or home style breakfast. I struggled to find any healthy breakfast fare. Front staff were rude to us about our reservation. Service was slow and mediocre. Kept us waiting for first coffee and refills. Service staff would come to a single location and ask us to pass the food and beverages across to the other booth (parties divided by a wall, a bit strange). And last but not least - yes, I see the tacky printed sign right up there on the wall, you will not seat reservations till all parties arrive. But let me tell you how it feels from the customer perspective. We, specifically I, arrived 7 minutes late to our 10:00 am reservation because I went to the wrong place. But THEN my party was forced to wait 40 minutes to be seated. Then mediocre service to boot. So because my fool self was less than 10 min late, my whole party now gets docked. That is a horrible way to treat customers. I assume somewhere in the past parties held tables for an excessive amount of time? And now you do this to every customer that may have a member coming from across town. This is not the way resolve from a customer experience. read more

I'm not going to lie, every time I went to the Sam's Club that shares the parking lot with Biscuits I thought two things (1) That dumpster is absolutely filthy and if it is any indication of the place, it is probably crawling with roaches and filth. (2) The only people that would go to a place called Biscuits would people who wear polyester from head to toe. So I said these things for a few years, actually. Then I needed to have my tire changed at Sam's Club and it was either sit there or go to Biscuits and have breakfast. I chose Biscuits. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and a Pancake. I'm ashamed to say that the Eggs Benedict was one of the best I've ever had. The sauce was good but what really made it was the meat cuts. It seems like most places put thick slices of ham on it which make it chewy. Biscuits has thinner slices which made it so much better for some reason. The eggs of course we good too. The pancake was good too, but nothing out of this world. Just a plain pancake that I ate every last scrap of. They also gave me enough syrup (in a cup) to meet my needs. I mention this because that is not always the case - many times I feel totally skimped on. Then again, I like to have a 50/50 pancake to syrup mix so I'm probably not in the norm on that. The wife got a veggie burger and actually ate it all. This is also new as she regularly picks at her veggie burgers when she goes out. She is the pickiest vegetarian ever and she ate it all here so it must have been good. read more

Today was my first visit to Biscuits breakfast and lunch and it was well worth it! I came here randomly after looking up breakfast spots in my area on Yelp. When I arrived, there were a group of people waiting both inside and outside to be seated but since I was alone I was seated almost immediately. Breakfast was still on my mind so I ordered: Chicken fried chicken, two over easy eggs, hash browns and a biscuit. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the hash browns were nicely browned and the chicken fried chicken was crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside. Also, the gravy on the chicken fried chicken was peppery deliciousness! Lastly, the biscuit was a decent size and pillow soft on the inside. I saved the biscuit for last and treated it like a dessert by covering it in honey butter and strawberry jam. Simply Amazing! read more

We went on a Saturday morning just after 10am. We were sat immediately, the restaurant was about half full. The service was friendly and fast. The food was good. I would have given 5 stars but I really wanted a side of pancakes to go with my Stella Southern Scramble but the only way to get pancakes is to order a full pancake meal, they don't have it as an optional side to one of the other breakfast specialties. When I grumbled a little, very politely, the waitress mentioned she gets that request all the time and it's just the house policy. Here's an idea: If your customers are frequently asking for something that you refuse to offer, and your restaurant is half full on a Saturday morning, in Gilbert, you probably not going to get a lot of repeat business. I won't be back. read more

We went here for the first time today. It was very clear that they are in desperate need of servers (just like any business these days) but even short staffed they were very efficient. They were very polite and apologized multiple times for the delays (which were pretty minimal) but you could see the employees literally running around doing their best to accommodate everyone. The wait staff today handled a holiday breakfast rush like pros. We waited a relatively short time and the waitress we got was able to accommodate my special request on our breakfast. The portions were HUGE. Mammoth sized. The food was good and in spite of it being very busy it came quickly. We would absolutely come back read more

Holy moly where do I begin! Slow crappy service, cold raw hash browns, green pepper hash, the list goes on but we were a first & now a last time customer. Don't throw your hard working money away at this dump. This is what they call corned beef hash and when mentioning how I dissatisfied we were to our server, she said "oh boy, this place has really gone downhill since the new owners took over" no apology, no offering to speak to manager, nada, she stood there with her iPad as I checked out! I wish I took a pic of my bf's chicken fried steak. Total rubbish and a waste of $40 read more

The Biscuit House - The Biscuit House - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

Buyer beware...the menus posted in the photos for this restaurant are not accurate. The actual prices are roughly twice as much, even though you're getting the same amount as food as you would expect at the lower price. I posted the breakfast sandwich that I was charged $8 for. Not a good value at all... read more

I stand corrected. I have dined at Biscuits a few times since my last review and I discovered something magical- their Champions Pancakes . They are made with whole wheat, raisins, granola, oats, and shaved almonds and they are absolutely delicious. A healthier spin on an all time favorite. I also order eggs over medium which are always cooked perfectly with a sausage patty and avocado on the side. That is my favorite breakfast and it's always perfectly yummy. They are now open for dining in and my fiancé took me there for birthday breakfast. We were one of the only tables there and it was magnificent. Mina was our hostess and was so sweet and wechatted with her. Julie who is one of our favorite servers, took care of us and always knows exactly what to ask ahead of time like she reads your mind. She's been working there for a long time and always takes great care of everybody with an incredible attitude. We only waited about 5 to 10 minutes before our food was served and we were in and out of there in less than a half hour. I had to take some of my pancakes to-go because they are so big it overflows the plate! One of my favorite things about it, though. Our breakfast was about $30, all in. They recently underwent some changes and I believe they are now called the Biscuit House. Mina let us know that some of the chefs are different but my breakfast was just as good as I remembered from before! My fiancé and I recently moved to the area so we are excited to call Biscuits or Biscuits House our favorite breakfast spot. read more

Best Southern comfort food cooking in the Valley. I just love the grilled liver and onions and chicken fried steak here. I ordered the eggs medium-well and it was cooked perfectly along with the fresh homemade biscuits, hot fresh grits and country potatoes. Really good food every time I come. read more

This place has gone down hill in the last few years. The water tasted funky, the food is not good, and the service was barely acceptable. Miss the old place! read more

The food was great and the service was even better. Downhome country feel. We expected a wait but it wasn't too bad considering they are only open for breakfast. We would definitely make a return trip when in AZ. Wish they had one of these in CA. The biscuits and gravy were VERY good and so was the huevos rancheros. read more

Good service. Tasteless biscuits French toast made on plain bread. Overpriced on everything.

I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with eggs and country potatoes..it was the top 2 worst restaurants I've been. Chicken was dry and tasteless and the potatoes tasted burnt. read more

Used to be our place to go, I know with the covid-19 affecting everyone's business we try and patronage as much as possible. I discovered today that this location has been sold and a few changes have been made; new menu, new prices, new staff and a very different product. There's another location off of Elliot between McLintock and Rural that I would recommend. This unfortunately will be our last time coming here. Sucks because it was really good for so long, not sure why someone would purchase this restaurant then turned around and ruin the product? read more

The Biscuit House - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

I've been to this The Biscuit House location on Gilbert by Sam's Club several times before. In years past, the service, atmosphere & food was good. However recently I've noticed a decline overall. Yesterday I came in & brought family members visiting from out of state for brunch around 12:30 pm. There were only 2 patrons inside the whole restaurant which I felt was a little odd. The waitress was very friendly & took our order. We were all beginning to eat when I noticed a dead roach on my plate underneath my sandwich. I quickly notified the waitress who was as mortified as I was. She stated the owner wasn't there but that she would call him. The waitress said the owner only offered to remove my meal from the final bill; but not my 3 guests who understandably didn't finish their meal either. I feel the owner should have done more. I didn't order a monte cristo with a side of sautéed roach. I was so taken aback I neglected to take a picture. The waitress was apologetic & I don't blame her for this incident. However, This is the last time i will ever eat there. read more

Biscuit special - sausage was cubes of some mystery meat. Food was not hot and eggs were undercooked. Will not return.

We love this friendly place for lunch or dinner Stephanie is the best waitress there we've had her many times and she's just awesome, The quality of food is awesome you get way too much if you go with someone else see if you can share because they give you way too much food I always come home with a doggy bag. I highly recommend this place and have to many of my friends and family members! Great price and good food! I've never was disappointed! read more

Best french toast I have ever had!!! The service is excellent. Pleasant atmosphere. Easy parking. Nice restrooms.

This place was Biscuits for years, it was recently bought out and changed to the biscuit house. Since being bought out the food has gone way downhill. We continue to come bc I really like the champion pancake. Well today was our last visit. My son ordered a fruit bowl that had sliced bananas and mushy, borderline bad, blueberries. I ordered the pancake, eggs and the home style potatoes. The potatoes were cold and very old, inedible. My husband brought this up with the waitress who agreed with the blueberries, but argued with him about the potatoes. The final straw was their payment system forces you to give an 18,20 or 22 percent tip. So if you get garbage food or garbage service you still have to tip 18%. No thanks, we'll be taking our business elsewhere even though we have been coming here for about 6 years. read more

Terrible. They'd ask me if I had money to pay for the biscuits I ordered and they didn't accept Apple Card's. Went back three more times and they said they were shirt staffed. Whatever that means... read more

I hate going off and giving few stars to a small hard working restaurant but when a spot is being called "biscuit house" I expect expectations to be above average. The biggest thing that earn them only three stars was that they didn't make their own biscuits. I tried the biscuits and gravy and again I was disappointed. I also had the carnitas omelette and I was satisfied but still expectations were not met. The place was clean and service was quick. The host was able to get us in quickly and we did appreciate that. read more

Service was good. We had to wait over 10 mins even though there were hardly any people there. The food was cold and bland. The 2 stars are for the helpful server. Highly doubt I'll be back. read more

This place is not "Biscuits" it either goes by "Biscuit" or "House of Biscuits". If you are looking for a good biscuit, I recommend the real Biscuits in Chandler. One member of my party asked for a fish sandwich, and got a fish basket. I ordered a meal with no meat, and got meat-y gravy. And poor Zack is still waiting for grapefruit juice. Water tastes filtered. read more

Came here with my dad last week for our weekly breakfast together. We both haven't been here in a few months. The prices they sky rocketed! I got the regular biscuit and gravy meal and I'm sorry but it was disgusting. Your name is biscuits but your biscuits were nasty... my dad had the Chicken Fried Chicken meal and added bacon on the side. He said it wasn't how it used to be. Also it got smaller and the price raised.. the bill sky rocketed to $45 for a breakfast place that was mediocre. I really hope they can turn their place around.. read more

I would only give this 2 stars to be kind. One for the eggs that were cooked perfectly. The other because my iced tea was fresh. The coffee was extremely weak, the biscuits were tough and hard, we ordered the hash browns they were cooked in advanced, and left to warm on the microwave, thus rubbery. Husband ordered the Stella's biscuits scramble , said it was meh. I was excited for the carnitas hash. It promised to be good. It lied. No salt no flavor, no spices, no Bueno. We were left feeling very sad. Just because the Snowbirds are here does not mean we want bland, no flavors, and weak coffee. read more

Don't do it... Biscuit look like they came from a can. My gravy was cold and so was my potatoes. Actually everything came out cold. Even our toast wasn't toasted. I paid 30 to only have two bites and then we left. Denny's is a five star next to this place. Service was nice though. Sorry to say that I won't be coming back. :( read more

Wow...saw the name and had to turn in. Whatta mistake, "the Biscuit House" served me two day old microwaved biscuits that were hard n tough. My BLT lacked any substance of the B and the L, with a couple slices of fresh tomato. $13 for two slices of bacon on some bread. The wife had Huevos Rancheros...ugh. Only thing fresh was the green onions. Can beans dumped over a couple of eggs with a tortilla buried under it all. So disappointed. Pretty hard to screw up even the basics. Not once, not twice but three times!!! the waiters interrupted our meal to top off a ketchup bottle n sugar packets. Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable. As for the building itself, it had a cute country charm and was bright and airy. Shame that was the best I could speak of. read more

Okay I don't have any pictures because I wasn't going to leave a review BUT 1/15/2023 was the second time I tried The Biscuit House in several months to give it another try. The breakfast 'looked' good I had a Traditional Breakfast 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties with country potatoes, my fiancee had a cheeseburger with bacon and a fried egg lettuce, tomato and onion rings his burger looked good. The eggs, and sausage had NO TASTE none it was the weirdest thing ever .. I put salt, pepper and nothing bland like it was just pretty commerical food. I didn't taste the country potatoes because the potatoes looked soggy and I just straight up not appetizing. My fiancee asked for his bacon, fried egg cheeseburger to medium rare it was well done OK that happens maybe guidelines, but he said the burger had no flavor and wasn't good I never seen that man not finish a bacon, cheeseburger. No more tries for me. I really REALLY wanted this place to be good its close to my house, and would've been convenient. read more

1st visit to this restaurant the past weekend...In front of Sam's Club. Family owned and operated! Very comfortable dining room with spacious tables. The breakfast items are served in large portions. Real fresh bacon strips...cooked perfectly. Blueberry pancakes were HUGE and delicious...with real fresh blueberries...not just blueberry syrup on top. The spouse had Spam & eggs...which was very good also. Clean and spacious facility. Friendly staff and service. Excellent food that is a little different from the typical breakfast/lunch restaurant. Right on Gilbert Road/Guadalupe Rd. in front of Sam's Club. Will return again! read more

Let's start with the good. The food was very good, and they served large portions. I don't think anyone in our party finished all of their food. The bad: Service was below standard. The waitress seemed bothered to help us. Who knows maybe it was towards the end if her shift, or it was a busy morning, but we never received a warm vibe or even standard service. It was, take your order here's your food, check. That said the cashier, an elderly woman, was very personable, but I guess you have to smile after charging $71 for breakfast. Yes, over $70+ for three adults and two kids. $5 orange juice doesn't help, and not honoring the free drink for signing up with the club, left a sour taste in all of our mouths. If you are going to charge a premium price, than the service needs to be on point at the bare minimum. Verdict: Unless you just hit it big at the casino, I'd pass. There are so many other options in the valley that compare to Biscuits Cafe, for half the price. read more

Overpriced and overrated. They stopped making their own biscuits. The biscuits were frozen & over microwaved. Omelet was so so. Three different waitresses at table. Confusing who was waiting on us. I joined a group of six for breakfast on Friday, April 8th. Our server, Holly, was friendly and very accommodating. She expressed an interest in our needs and was very professional. Everyone in the group was satisfied with the service and food. An exception was the cheese omelet, it was essentially scrambled eggs folded over with barely a hint of cheese. Apparently they toss a small amount of cheese on the finished product and call it a cheese omelet. Finally, the prices are exceptionally high, especially for a beverage. Nothing new about that however since all restaurants are over charging for beverages. Overall, an okay experience, though not exceptional. read more
