I went to the Big Screen Store because I wanted to support a local vendor and avoid big box stores. When we went in July of 2025, we purchased a Samsung 77" S95D OLED and the 1K sound system. Spent 4.25K, and they price-matched. The customer service at the time was excellent, and I felt like if anything went wrong with the TV, they'd have our back, unlike big box stores. Four months later, the TV won't turn on right in time for the holidays. While searching online for a solution, I realized there is a massive problem with the 77-inch Samsungs, especially the S95D (Best Buy said two of them died on their showroom floor). There is enough of a problem that a class action investigation is underway (link below). When I went to the store, the manager greeted me with "I saw your email," and yes, my email was angry. What else would you expect? You sold me an item that literally is a lemon. All the goodwill, and we're locally owned blah blah went out the door, and it's basically - hey, nothing we can do - sorry you're irrational. I was also told, Hey, we've never had any customers with multiple issues with the One Connect Box, so of course you'll find that when you search for it! It was the most flippant attitude I could have gotten, and it's OBVIOUS there is an issue with these 77-inch Samsungs, yet instead of just being transparent, they said, "We ran it up the flagpole." As an authorized Samsung dealer, I'd hope they'd have more pull to help their clients. I will never purchase an item from here again, and I recommend you never get a Samsung with a One Connect Box - they will break within 3-4 months. You might as well go to Best Buy, Costco or whatever beacuse in the end there is no power as a consumer at any of these places, and these guy's will say sorry, file a ticket with Samsung and then it's on you from there. I tried all of the usual places, but they couldn't meet my delivery timetable. We purchased a Samsung 77" S95D OLED from the Big Screen Store on Rockville Pike in August 2025. We wanted to support a local chain, and we were initially very happy with the customer service. The gentleman we worked with seemed very knowledgeable and experienced and recommended this tv. Four months later, our tv is completely dead and won't turn on. The excellent customer service we received prior to making our purchase was not extended when we notified the Big Screen Store of the issue. It would seem that if they specialize in Samsung tvs, they would be aware of this known issue with this particular model and not sell it, much less push it on customers. This is the most expensive tv I've purchased, and the only tv I've ever had an issue with. My Vizio from Costco was far more reliable. The only big screen TVs worth buying are Samsung. And the only place you should buy one is The Big Screen store, which ONLY sells Samsung. Their prices are absolutely competitive with Big Box (you know who I mean), and their service is far better. We had a few special issues, notably connecting RCA cables from our old DVD/VHS player through an adapter to the TV. They spent about four hours doing that and everything else that needed to be done. I purchased a 65 in OLED; great picture quality, sound etc. at a very good price; much less than their competitors. I was told the installation would be 3-4 days and an installer would call to schedule an appointment. The time would be 10-2pm window; at 930 am the installer called and asked if they could come at 9:45am. By 10:25, the tv, soundbar was installed and the guys vacuumed the carpet. When our 12 year old Samsung 42" TV went kaput, we decided we knew it was time not only for a NEW TV, we knew we wanted a larger screen TV. We were approached by a personable and knowledgeable gentlemen who patiently listened to what we felt we wanted and then, again, patiently, showed us and demonstrated floor models to match. We watched and listened and were duly impressed. Our expert sales associate was Lee and he was incredibly helpful in walking us through technical matters, purchase details, delivery options and arrangements and sound enhancement options. This store's price matching policy was a scam. We came in for an advertised TV, classic bait and switch, the salesman immediately explained why we didn't want their sale TV. He did spend time walking us through the available options. After we decided on a TV, I showed the salesman online prices (including Amazon) that were lower than this store's and asked him to match them. The salesman made excuses for why he couldn't match what we found. So much for their policy.
