One of my 20' XLR microphone cables failed while I was doing a remote recording session...scratches and crackling from a short circuit. I brought the cable to Elman for repair. He found the problem and fixed it. The "extra mile" was his applying heat shrink to the soldered leads which has two benefits: - stabilizes the leads against strain, and, should they get pulled again, prevents them from touching and should prevent electrical short circuiting. This is the worst computer company I have ever had the misfortune to work with. They quote a low price and promise big, and then change the price later and take weeks and weeks to finish work that should have taken days. No follow-through, no care or interest in what the customer needs. I have a computer with water damage, and the owner of this "business" assured me it would be done within three to five business days and would not cost an arm and a leg. Now, three weeks later he says that I need to buy a part and give it to him so that he can make the repair within three to five days. No attention made to the immediacy of my situation, as I expressed every step of the way that I need this done quickly. He seemed more interested in cheating me out of as much money and time as possible while holding my computer hostage. I am now asking for his address and he is refusing to give it to me. All I want is my computer back so that I can go to a real professional who will not say one thing and continually not perform. That is the only reliable thing about this company - they will not give you what you want, only what they think you deserve. Forget that. read more
