Tony helped us with a broken kid's camera that 2 other shops declined to even attempt to fix. He put on show, explaining what pieces he was looking at through his microscope, where the positive and negative wires needed to be connected, and how to solder and clean up using the same tool / they were mesmerized and kept asking how he was so smart. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed solving the puzzles in taking things apart and putting them back together better than he found them. He found pieces that needed repair beyond what we came in for and didn't even try to charge us for the 'surprises' he worked. Tremendous skill, diligence, and pride in his work. I had smartfix repair my iPhone 7 Plus screen. Ever since My screen has been acting sporadic & at times unresponsive to touch. I've gone back about three times now each time getting a new replacement because of how bad it's functioning. The gentleman at the stand basically told me if my screen started acting up again that my phone is at fault and that I basically need to get a new one. But the issue is that even though I had a cracked screen before of all this my phone still functioned properly no issues. I'm sort of regretting paying for this service as it seems that I'll probably have to pay for another service to fix it properly and I probably won't get my money back. Update: Currently still have the same screen on my iPhone it glitches and skips touches at times but I have to live with it cause I'm not paying to repair my screen again with new iPhones coming soon. Today my screen randomly cracked... I haven't dropped it, I haven't done any physical damage to it. I tried to contact the store originally when I made this review and left a voicemail, sad to say I haven't gotten a response at all and this company claims to be one of the best iPhone repair services in the area. I'm here to tell you don't waste your money on SmartFix they seem like reputable business with multiple stores but they are owned privately and don't handle their fuck ups, and would rather give you crappy parts and then blame your phone as the issue. Crisis, crisis, crisis. Granddaughter has destroyed a number of I-phones in the past year. She's pretty much gone through her insurance plan. So, she drops her phone on my front porch doing "Musically" or something like that. We had planned on a trip to Costco anyway so stopped at SmartFix to get an estimate on screen repairs. Price was reasonable and granddaughter had enough money from birthday gifts, etc. to pay for it. (I would normally pay but I think she needs to learn this lesson.) The woman who did the repair was awesome. Phone looks like new. Plus we got some tips. If you get your phone wet, spray any "openings" with rubbing alcohol. Do not put the phone on a charger wet and don't blow dry it. After trying rubbing alcohol you can put it in a rice" bath" if you want, but use the alcohol (rubbing, not Gin) trick first. We stopped by while Costco shopping and were served by Tsegamarium. He looked like he was in high school but he was very knowledgeable! He fixed the screen with a tempered glass screen protector (for a small crack in the corner) and he changed the battery that I had already ordered from Amazon. He had all of his own tools and did everything in a matter of 15 minutes and charged $30 for everything. He even gave me free advice on a motherboard problem in my other iPhone. Update: After two weeks, my iPhone has terrible water damage underneath the glass from moisture/humidity buildup. Clearly this glass was not installed correctly. An absolute waste of money. read more

I give them no stars. I have an iPhone5 and broke the screen for the 1st time. I've had it since it came out :) I Took it to smartfix they fixed the screen for $74.99. As I was walking out the mall to my car the screen cracked (I did nothing to it). I took it back and the guy said normally we would charge $74.99 fix it again but he fix it for me with free of charge since I was just there 5 minutes ago and explained what happen. 13 days later the screen cracks again and again I did nothing to it. I take it back again and these dudes were like it's breaking from the inside and it will cost you more to fix it. NOOOOOOO why am I paying for this? They should have told me this the 1st time. Money hungry. I emailed the company and 2 weeks later not a word from them. I want my money back b/c it's more than the screen that's broken and they should have told me this the 1st time but they wanted that $74.99. read more
