My phone screen was replaced quickly and professionally. If I ever need this service again (which I hope I don't!), I will use this place.

Phone overheats now and sometimes won't charge. Not pleased with the replacement iPhone 12 glass at all.

Can I give Jay 10 stars please! I called and described that my phone screen went black after I dropped it. I thought I could just reset it by holding on to the power button and waiting for my Pixel 5A to reboot. Turns out I had a thread like crack at the corner of my screen you could barely see it. When I called Jay, he said he could have the screen delivered to his shop the next day. I brought my phone in when he opened at 10am and he was done with my phone by 2p! The cost was $200, well worth the service and convenience. I haven't broken a cell phone since 2010 so I guess I was due. read more

Jay is amazing. I won't take my devices anywhere else. They say you only get to choose two of: good fast and reasonably priced. But Jay is the exception to that rule, he is all three! Do yourself a favor and avoid those high priced mall phone repair places. This is the real deal. read more

Stopped in today to get my cracked iPhone screen repaired. Jay was friendly and efficient, and the price was way lower than other quotes I got on Yelp. The fix took less than 10 minutes, and I was on my way. Great service! read more

Saw his great reviews here and in Google and just took my iPhone XR in for screen repair...was super quick (20 mins) and only $90! Other local co's were quoting me $140 and of course Apple was $200! Definitely recommend! read more

Hands down fantastic customer service. I reached out to this technician on Yelp and Jay responded within a day with a reasonable quote. He was communicative during the entire process leading up to dropping off the broken device. Jay was able to repair the broken lightning port on my iPad Air 2 quickly and at a reasonable cost. A lot of other technicians in the area did not perform the micro soldering job or charged significantly more than Jay's quote. I decided to have Jay replace a broken screen on another iPad Air 2 I had as well after the initial repair. His quote was again reasonable and I trust his work to be top notch. I will definitely bring more repair jobs to him in the future. read more

Reliable, quick, friendly, and a great value! Would 100% recommend to friends and family!!

If you have a kid with a phone, you'll probably need Jay at some point. Jay has fixed my teen's iPhone cracked screens 3x. The phone looks like new when he's done with it. His prices are reasonable and he fixes the phone quickly. He also gave us a free screen and camera protector. read more

Jay is the #1 person I go to for any of our iPhone repairs. Stopped in, today, and within 15 minutes I had a new phone battery at a very reasonable price. Thanks again! read more

I've never cracked my phone screen before, but there's a first time for everything. I went to the Apple Store for a consultation - $129 for a replacement out of warranty. Deciding to go with the more affordable route, I did some market research on third party vendors. The best prices I saw in DC were about $70; most were higher. I stumbled on iFix iBuy Phones on Yelp - which was a local solution and offered the most competitive pricing! Plus, the store offers discounts to teachers, firefighters, police, and military. I showed up as a walk-in after work, and Jay was able to help me immediately. I gave him my iPhone and he estimated a 15-20 minute fix time. Compare this to Apple's two-hour fix time, and it's already a deal. There are a couple chairs available while you wait. Less than 15 minutes later, my phone is presented to me again, and it looks brand spanking new, functions perfectly, I can look at it again without getting sad - and most importantly, I can use it without cutting my fingers! Jay even applied a free screen protector. When he gave me back my phone, he said I could take my time to make sure that it was all good - and it was. I couldn't be more pleased. Kudos to Jay for his hospitality, expertise, and quality workmanship. This business should not be overlooked. read more

Fast and good service, good price to replace iPhone 11 screen. Was finished in about 20 minutes or less.

My issue: iPhone 8 volume up button broke. Hardware issue likely, I forgot what he said. I attempted to get an quote for the project on yelp here, and it required and in-person consultation. Location is a small little shop, it has its own parking. Owner and fixer was very kind, straight to the point. I didn't have another number where I could have been reached if the project was done quickly, so I was given an 2hr return time, of course I didn't mind and got a lot done in that time frame Price was very good! Much less that the other places quoted me. I have already recommended this place to a few people, I would come back if I have other issues. Thank you! read more

Jay does great repairs and is a super nice guy to boot. We have been taking our phones to Jay for 8+ years. He gives great advice, too. I would recommend going to him for screens, batteries, connections, and other things. He might even be able to fix your laptop if it is pretty straightforward, he's got tools and steady hands! read more

Jay is Elite at this Very respectful with great prices way better than the other places I received quotes from in the PG/Montgomery area and his work quality is tremendous! Was definitely a saver for fixing my son's iPad a day before Christmas and put a screen protector on for free, I wish I would've known about this place 2 years ago before took my iPhone XR to a shop in district heights which screen cracked 3 days later with no contact :-/ read more

UPDATE: In the three years since my previous review (below), I've been visiting this shop regularly. Recently he replaced my wife's cracked Apple watch screen, good as new. Earlier this year he rescued my Droid LG ThinQ phone which was no longer charging. He replaced the charging port and the battery, good as new -- however, the mic then wasn't working right. Turns out the mic is on the same part as the charging port and it was faulty. I brought it back and he fixed it fast, with no extra charge. That's what you get here: honest and top quality service at a modest price, just enough for him to make a small profit above the cost of parts. AWESOME!!! What a find. This is exactly what you want for something as important as repairing your cell phone. I think it's a one person shop. The owner is friendly, honest, talented, fair. He replaced the battery in my old Droid Turbo and replaced the cracked screen, all for $130. It's like new again. He texted me a day earlier than promised to pick it up. He said he ordered a second battery that he'll hold just in case the new one isn't quite up to expectations. I think he fixes computers, too. (YES!!) Avoid going to a crowded mall kiosk. This is at Four Corners, Silver Spring, next to the Cap One Bank. It's a great shop! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! read more

Service on the cracked screen of my iPhone was fast and efficient. The gentleman behind the counter was kind and checked in to make sure I was comfortable. I was in and out within twenty minutes as promised. read more

Jay was great. He quoted me a price, a few hours later the job was done and my iPad was fixed. When it's this fast and easy, I'm much more likely to get my devices repaired then my sad tradition of sending it to the recycling center (or to the kids). Thanks for being a solid, dependable, easy-to-contact and responsive business! read more

Jay has fair prices and great turnaround time. Fixed my laptop in less than 24 hours. Great customer service and quality work!will def be coming back. read more

Excellent customer service. I brought my phone and it was the screen protector that was broken not the screen. He replaced the screen protector and I was on my way. read more

First time getting my phone repaired by Jay, owner of Ifix. He was knowledgeable and kind. My iPhone didn't work and he replaced the internal charging part and the battery. The price was affordable and he guaranteed the parts and his work. It was a pleasure talking to him while I waited on my phone. I observed how he interacted with other customers. He was welcoming and took a sincere interest in each person who walked through the door. Great guy and excellent expertise. Get your phone, tablet or computer fixed by Jay! You'll be glad you did. I was visiting Silver Spring and needed some help with my cellphone. This guy was the best -- knowledgable, quick, reasonable price -- I checked around and in addition to being close to where I was, he was the lowest or next to lowest price in the area. Plus he had a sense of humor. read more

Excellent customer service! He was very straightforward with me about what my options were with my iPhone 7. He charged $40 for a battery replacement and $70 for some internal hardware repair. I've had to pay far more for less quality work! read more

Skip the apple store. Let me say that again... SKIP THE APPLE STORE. This place charges less than half the price plus takes less than a quarter of the time. Went in for a battery replacement and came out with basically a new phone. Sounds too good to be true? TRY ME. read more

Highly recommend. Clear, upfront communication & very nice to work with. Great service at a very reasonable price.

The shop is a little hard to find- but absolutely worth it! It's behind Red Maple and in a little white building. Fantastic customer service and a good price! He fixed my screen, even added a free screen protector. Also, I couldn't believe how kind he was to install a new iPhone battery (that I had purchased from Amazon) without charging anything for the installation. I will be a repeat customer and hope you'll be one too! read more

Jay is very patient and professional! I went to his store today to fix my Iphone 7 screen. I broke the screen before and had the apple store experience. Jay had a much nicer price and same quality screen replacement. I had an issue after the fix and Jay asked me to bring it back to check and vola I really enjoyed Jay's repair- definitely recommend to everyone who is looking for great craftsmanship and excellent customer service. read more

I recently broke the screen on my Samsung phone. While looking at reviews of various repair places I saw the great reviews for iFix iBuy and decided to give them a try. I am so glad I brought the phone here. Jay is just terrific. He was honest right up front telling me that new screens for Samsung phone are fairly expensive and made some recommendations that I might pursue first for getting a new phone. When I didn't find anything that was satisfactory for the price, I came back and arranged for him to order the new screen for my phone. I brought the phone to him this morning...he had it fixed in about 45 minutes and working fine. Great customer service, and Jay does great work. If you need a phone repaired bring it to Jay at iFix iBuy. You can't go wrong! read more

$190 after taxes for a broken screen and a rear camera in a Galaxy Note 4. Quite convenient considering the only cheaper thing I found was Ebay and I had to wait for it a few days which is very inconvenient. Wait time: less than 1 hour.
