They told me they could get it done within one hour. When I came back they were still working on my cell phone. After an additional 15 minutes waiting, they then tell me that my touchscreen was not functioning and it was due to the new screens that they had installed. (according to them, they attempted with three several screens and no function) . They refer me to their location in Montgomery Mall I told "no thanks I have zero trust in this business when it comes to repairing cell phones". They reinstalled my cracked screen, which was now blacked out and the touch screen was not functioning. Who knows what in the world they did but completely ruined my cell phone. I had to get a new cell phone that day which caused me $450+ dollars because of them.

You could tell he genuinely enjoyed solving the puzzles in taking things apart and putting them back together better than he found them. The gentleman at the stand basically told me if my screen started acting up again that my phone is at fault and that I basically need to get a new one. I'm sort of regretting paying for this service as it seems that I'll probably have to pay for another service to fix it properly and I probably won't get my money back. To make matters worse, nobody informed me upfront that the replacement battery would not be a genuine Apple battery. This information was only buried in the fine-print disclaimer, which was not easy to notice or understand. The staff should clearly explain to customers before starting any work that an Apple battery will not be used and make sure the customer agrees. Damaging my phone during a battery replacement and failing to clearly disclose the use of non-Apple parts is completely unacceptable. Very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this service.

One of my 20' XLR microphone cables failed while I was doing a remote recording session...scratches and crackling from a short circuit. I brought the cable to Elman for repair. He found the problem and fixed it. The "extra mile" was his applying heat shrink to the soldered leads which has two benefits: - stabilizes the leads against strain, and, should they get pulled again, prevents them from touching and should prevent electrical short circuiting. This attention to detail is all too unusual in today's marketplace. Kudos to Elman.
