I went to the kiosk for a warranty covered screen protector replacement. I worked with Sam. He told me that my protector was not Zagg and that neither he nor Zagg would replace it unless I purchased a new protector (i.e., he refused to honor the warranty, under false pretenses I believe, and was pushing me to buy a new protector). I know for a fact that when I bought the screen protector at AT&T, I was told that it was Zagg and covered by lifetime warranty. It turns out that I had registered the protector when I bought it, it was a Zagg protector made for AT&T, and it was covered. Sam also appeared to charge inappropriately for my husband's warranty replacement. The reason Sam stated for the charge does not align with information on Zagg's website or his reasoning for not replacing my protector. Long story short, I would not trust this kiosk for a warranty replacement, and I would not give my business to someone who is untrustworthy. read more

The store did have the screen protector in stock and the tech was able to install it easily and cleanly. They do have a decent, albeit small, selection of screen protectors for the most popular phones. They have also done a good job updating the storefront with social distancing and cleaning in mind. I had a Zagg Screen protector on my cell from Verizon. It held up pretty well until several accidental drops and lines were created in the corners. Verizon never told me that the replacement warranty cost was $10 but, it was all good. We're all trying to make a living. Borna was pretty good at his craft. Do NOT get your ZAGG product there. One of their employees is racist and made racist statements to me. I received a replacement screen for my phone directly from ZAGG. I went to the ZAGG kiosk in the mall to have it put on. They did so, and later that day, the screen protector developed an air bubble. I went back to them, the lady working there inspected it, and the woman told me she needed to put a new one on, but didn't have any. The install warranty was for two weeks. Three weeks later, they finally got a new one in. I went there and the guy working said the warranty was void since there was a small crack in the screen. The crack was due to the air bubbles. Him and I argued about the cause if it and then he said "You white people get upset so easy" I will never go back there and my family will never use another ZAGG product! read more

This review is for the Gaithersburg location. Since we've been lucky never having to utilize a phone repair service before, and so don't have a point of comparison, I will just give this business a four for now. My husband came back from the store so quickly and so pleased, and while this was his phone repair experience, I would have to say Yay, I'm a fan too! Within about 10 days of getting his upgraded phone (finally) and before he had decided to give up the feeling of the new slim profile and put on the new otterbox case, he dropped his phone on the patio, shattering the screen. For $115, and about 15 minutes of his time, the phone is now completely fixed, and on a Sunday at 5 PM. Very happy with this level of service, especially considering all the calls he had to make and inquiries which led to either "not in stock" or much higher prices. read more

Cracked the screen of my iPhone 4GS on Dec. 3 and made an appointment at Apple's Genius Bar the following day. A friend told me about a kiosk at Montgomery Mall that can replace cracked screens. I didn't think too much of it since I tend to go strictly with Apple products. But while walking to Apple, there was the Zagg kiosk a few steps away from the front door. So I stopped by and asked how much a replacement would cost. I was quoted $94. "A little high," I thought. "I'll go to Apple and see what it costs over there." A sales rep at Apple quoted me a charge of $199. $199?! I know that Apple products are usually top-end, but we're just talking about a screen, right? So I left Apple and went back to Zagg. I was directed to another kiosk on the lower level, where a guy took 45 minutes to replace my screen. The only reason I haven't given Zagg five stars yet is because it's been less than a week with the new screen. But so far, so good. The screen looks great, and I haven't had any problems with it yet. Zagg is definitely getting my family's business when it comes to replacing screens. read more

Sadly incompetent. I took my phone to this kiosk because the screen was loose (not cracked) and I wanted them to put it back on correctly. A few days after I paid almost $90 for them to just put my original screen back on, it came loose again. I was unable to get back to the store for 2 weeks. When I asked them to put the screen back on correctly, (which is what I paid them to do in the first place and they apparently couldn't handle) they refused unless I paid again. The manager told me this was because now there is a little crack in the corner. The crack in the corner is there because since the screen was loose, it was outside of the case and cracked. So basically, I paid $90 for my phone to have the same problem before I paid (and actually worse because it is now cracked). Just to be clear, I did not ask them to change the screen (I do not care if there is a small crack) but just to reglue the current screen back on. And they wouldn't. Will never return there again. If you are taking the phone for an actual repair - beware. PS. There is another kiosk in Montgomery Mall that charges a third less for the same repair and fixed my phone perfectly. read more

I've visited all the Zagg stores in the area and this by far was my best experience! I came in to get a screen protector for my phone and ended up needing some assistance with connecting my Bluetooth keyboard to multiple devices. Matt assisted me and was very knowledgeable. He was very patient and took the time to listen and understand my issues. Another gentleman was there and said he always comes to this location and told me that Matt resolved an issue for him with his screen that Samsung couldn't fix. My daughter cracked her iPhone 6 and she took it there to get fixed. When she got it, there were two dead pixels. They said they were out of parts but would call when the got new screens. A few days later they called. When we went back they said they had made a mistake and no screens were available but would be two days later and they would call. They didn't call. When we went back they finally fixed they finally fixed as originally had promised. Start to finish 9 days and three trips. read more

Plus the other location didn't have my part in stock. Zagg's replacement took around 25 minutes and costed me 117 dollars with tax. Came in for screen repair. Was not ready when they said it would be. When I finally got it, screen was smudged on inside. Had them fix it but then the screen was loose. Had to drive to main office in Gaithersburg to have them fix it. Fortunately the manager refunded the $100 fee for all my trouble. read more

Horrible experience!! My idea iphone 6S is going completely crazy in a manner that it is never acted like. Sometimes the glass goes dead where the matter what I touch it does not work and sometimes it acts like I'm clicking it maniacally, like there's an electronic ghost opening apps and closing them and re-opening them and clicking all over the place. I took it back to this location where I had it done and the guy seem to think it was funny. He reminded me that I still have three months left on my warranty. To which I stated I'm not coming back here over and over and over again so you can try new glass on my phone in hopes that it works better. This replacement better work I said and of course it didn't it's still the same totally screwed up problem. I'm imagining a situation where there's an emergency or there's a sense of urgency that I need to use my phone for and it's going completely crazy or it's completely dead to the touch. The employee just shrugged his shoulders and smiled at me like he was happy to see me tortured and even more so that he had me over a barrel because after three months he will gladly try and charge me for new glass if I have to continue going back in. It's absolutely insane that this could be going on with no forewarning from him that this might happen, no buyer beware, just $190 bill that I'm gonna have to go back over and over again to try and get my money back. I thought Zagg was a good rock solid brand but no longer. I may take them to small claims court it's so bad. read more

Ali (manager of the Colombia store) came to my house Friday, fixed my extremely cracked screen and helped me find a cover and screen protector. When I found a bubble in the protector and contacted Ali, he made another trip to Bethesda within 24 hours, replaced it and fixed the problem! I stop by at this kiosk fairly regularly. Between my mom, dad, and my phone, I'm no stranger to this kiosk. Every time I stop by, I receive amazing service. I never have to wait long, especially if the manager, Ali, is there. He always greets me with a smile and delivers flawless installation. It's a lifetime warranty, but you have to pay $10 for installation. I'm okay with that! If that means I get a topnotch screen protector that absorbs the impact from everyday bumps and drops AND keeps my actual screen crack/break free? WORTH IT. You pay at least that much on Amazon for ONE screen protector that may or may not protect your actual screen (not including installing it yourself and getting that annoying piece of dust under it). Save yourself the headache, and just stop by Zagg. Your phone and your sanity will thank you for it! read more

This is the only place I will go bc QUALITY MATTERS. I'm talking about the team, the service, and the product are all of top quality! The team, especially Syed, are so knowledgeable, skilled, efficient, responsive, and have excellent customer service. They really know phones and tables inside and out. They are honest and direct about what they can or cannot do and when and how they will do what they can to repair your devices. Syed and the guys working the kiosk are so good, reliable, and efficient! I'm consistently impressed. Come here for quality products, great service with a quality team, and to get in and out fast. If they are repairing something for you, they'll follow-up and keep you in the loop. They are responsive and very direct and honest. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT TEAM! Syed has been the primary person I've dealt with almost dozen visits, but I've interacted with others as well and they're just all very knowledgeable. I usually go to the Tysons location, but I know Syed and the team circulate between the Bethesda and DC locations, so I want to make sure I get the word out! Their products are top notch! Easy quick place to get screen protectors professionally put on. They will replace the items for free with $10 labor charge if the protector ever gets damaged or comes off...not bad. In general I'd started just buying the protectors in the phone stores where they are pretty good at putting them on as well. But with the S8 it is tough as the glass screen protectors in general are not very good on curved screens. So I was going back to the traditional flexible screen protectors and Zagg is the best at that. They have a machine to custom cut the flexible protectors the flexible wet applied protectors, so they always will have your size in, particularly important with new phone models where it may be tough to get one in the store in stock. I've not used them for a repair but seems like they know what they're doing. read more

Since getting my first smart phone about seven years ago I've been to at least five different Zagg phone repair locations in different parts of the country. This has been by far the worst of the bunch. All of the employees at other kiosks did a good to great job putting on screen protectors and making product recommendations, but two different people at this one did a lousy job, twice, with lame excuses both times. Maybe if I had no basis for comparison I would think it was the product rather than the service, but since I know better I'll simply say that one of the other locations the DC area may be a better choice. read more

When I confronted her with the information she said that they charged to put it on the device for me. She should have said that to begin with. She was unapologetic and the man who put it on my phone left a bubble and small piece of dust in it. I was on a mission to get a case for my iPad Mini. I initially went to the Apple store and couldn't find a case. They didn't have many to pick from. I just wanted a black simple case, nothing over the top. I was walking out of the Apple store and I saw this Kiosk and for a moment I almost walked past it. I'm usually the type to give retailers the benefit of the doubt. After two negative experiences with Zagg and their poorly made product I'm starting to doubt my methods. Purchasing the glass screen protectors from both Apple and Verizon is a bit costly at $25 a pop. When I went to get my screen protector replaced (after 8 months of crack/scratch free use) the Zagg rep called me over and sold me on their deal - $50 for the first screen protector and guaranteed replacements for life. I made a deal with the devil. By just having my keys and phone in the same pocket I scratched the screen. Then when I dropped the phone (on its back) on carpeting the screen cracked...time for my first replacement after a few short weeks. No big deal, I thought. Their product was not as high in quality but I was forgiving considering their lifetime guarantee. TO MY SURPRISE - every replacement costs $7. With all of the defects that is sure to add up. So the next time the screen scratched and again when it cracked I let it go for a while. Waited until the last minute to get it replaced. It happened to reach the point of no return while I was traveling in Europe and was shedding glass everywhere - I made the call that I was safer without the glass screen protector and almost threw it in the garbage (accurately where it belonged - it was trash and getting glass shards EVERYWHERE...not safe at all, especially when traveling) but stuck it in an envelope and held onto it just to be safe. I brought my phone to Zagg when I got home and told them that I needed to replace my glass screen protector and was told (with a haughty attitude - but that's beside the point) that I would have to pay for a completely new setup (again the $50 fee) because the shattered screen protector was no longer attached to my phone. This is a scam and a way for them to profit off of their faulty product. Neither the $7 replacement fee or the requirement have the broken screen protector still attached were communicated to me at the point of sale. Their customer service is shameful - they retain customers purchase history but can't use this for the replacement of the screen protectors. My recommendation - find a different company that relays all necessary information at the time of purchase so that they do not reap any benefits from their shady business practices and their poorly made products. *Disclaimer: the $7 fee and requirement to have the previous screen protector attached in order to have it replaced are apparently noted at the bottom of the receipt. This also was not brought to my attention when I purchased the product nor did they tell me to retain my receipt. GOOD LUCK to anyone who purchases this screen "protector." read more

Completely unhelpful in a polite but rude way. He stonewalled us and then gave us the customer service phone number. I called customer service and she was so helpful and responsive.
