Excellent service at this location in Gaithersburg! Dealt mainly with Santiago and Fernando, excellent reps of this establishment. I utilized TW Perry for a deck project, using them for roughly 90% of my materials and they were extremely professional. There were a few snags during the process, but both Santiago and Fernando made them right! It was a lot of materials that were ordered so small hiccups like missing parts (very small ones) and damaged items (most likely in transit) are to be expected. They credited me for the damages and even gave me the missing pieces, without giving me any grief. A++ I highly recommend this location, looking forward to my next project using them and will absolutely be referring people word of mouth style. I was in search of a speciality sheet of wood for a siding repair and tw perry was one of the few places locally that carried it without special ordering. I visited twice. One time to check on the inventory and the second time I came with a truck to haul the wood. All staff encountered were pleasant and pretty helpful. In addition, the price at TW perry was $11 less per sheet than a local competitor. It saved me $50 going here. The parking lot is small, but it's not needed to be any larger since the traffic was minimal both times I visited. It's nice that the entrance is off the main road and it's easier to exit, especially with large trucks that frequent there. read more

I called and left a message about ordering some Simpson Strongtie hurricane ties and never got a call back, voicemail every time. Today I called and the voicemail was full, so I tried text. That was an utter disaster. first they wanted to verify that I meant special order 8/4 instead of the 6/4 I specified. I stated the manufacturer's location and was told TW did not have a location where the manufacturer was and if I needed the product there to call the parent company, who will not sell retail. What wasted hours to get no where would have taken 5 minutes on the phone. If I did not have my own job I could drive to them and discuss in person, but most civilized cultures are capable of using phones. Not TW. I thought Home Depot special orders were a trip, but you can at least call their supply chain headquarters in Atlanta and they can take care of most items for any brand they sell in about 10 minutes, this was way worse. To the point I would not hire a contractor that uses this company, because doubtful they could finish a job on time or to spec if they had these issues. read more

I went to T W Perry yesterday to get some staples for my stapler gun. It is old and I tried all sizes and none fit. I was going to buy a new stapler gun; the cashier said "let me see your stapler gun; see the numbers on the side, we carry that". Yes he could of not said anything and let me buy a new one however he was honest and showed me the right ones and it only cost $3. He saved me $20. Thank you for great customer service! I walked in and was greeted by several staff members who were very friendly and attentive. After spending some time asking a million questions I was satisfied by the professionalism and expertise. If you aren't a contractor they treat you like garbage. Wouldn't do the cuts i paid for so i had to go back to the store to get a refund. Then wouldn't let me in the side door so i had to drive out of the lot to come back in. They don't care about the normal person at all. read more

Terrible, terrible experience with ordering doors from TW Perry! Sales people are incompetent, manager doesn't give a damn. It's been four month! They delivered wrong style doors twice and blamed the manufacturer for confusing the order. Now instead of compensating us for all the trouble they caused, they want additional $1,300 to order the style we initially wanted and paid for! Nobody wants to take responsibility and make it right. The guys at TW Perry are a no BS crowd that will get you what you need. That being said, they have loads of room to improve on the customer service front if you're not a contractor. What I came to realize is that being a normal customer at TW Perry is fine, and being a contractor at TW Perry is fine. But when you go to TW Perry as a normal customer that needs a contractor's amount of lumber, things get complicated. Complicated is a bit too much of a hassle for my taste. I live here in Gaithersburg MD & we just experienced our 2016 snow blizzard. Knowing that the blizzard was on the way I went to Home Depot to & a couple other places to look for a nice durable snow shovel. Every where was sold out, so my friend did some research & told me to go to TW PERRY cause they had some... So I did & they had a nice shipment that just came in, the best snow shovel that I ever had & it was only 17$. Nice heavy duty snow shovel, what more can a laborer man like myself ask for! read more
