    While Strosniders did not have what I was looking for, I did find a lot of great finds . . . I probably found too many great finds. ;) Overall, I thought the store had a nice layout and was very well-organized. The customer support for the most part was very good. For the thing that I was looking for, one of the floor agents searched in multiple places just to make sure the product wasn't in another location. I'll admit that I thought one of the cashiers was a bit short tempered.

    One of the best stocked hardware stores in the area. The staff is okay but not overly friendly.

The first local appliance store didn't have any stock of what we wanted & told us to try Bray & Scarff Bethesda. We went there and walked in to assess the range we were interested in after doing intial online research. The salesman at Bray & Scarff was very nice, informative & not pushy at all. Very nice. Bray & Scarff had the range we wanted in stock and offered to deliver two days later. SOLD!! Yes, it's was $400 more expensive than Costco, however we didn't want to be without a functional oven for another 4 weeks. Their delivery experience from tracking to the delivery team was excellent! The three men delivery team was professional, helpful and respectful. We would wholeheartdly recommend Bray & Scarff.

    I recently purchased a washer, dryer and new KitchenAid dishwasher from B&S Bethesda. The…read moredishwasher made a horrible sound the first time it ran but based on internet searches for this issue, it said it was possible it would go away after the first few uses. After running it a second time with the same issue, I contacted my sales agent on June 8, sent him a video with the noise and he agreed it was not normal. A tech came out on June 12 and was told the wash pump was bad and needed replacement and they would have to get back to me. I called my sales agent and told him since I had ordered and paid for a brand new dishwasher (and five year warranty) I wanted a brand new dishwasher and not a repaired/refurbished one. He said he completely agreed but it wasn't up to him and he would get back to me. The next call I received was from the Service Dept who repeatedly told me I can't get a new dishwasher because it was after a seven day period that is "noted in my contract." I have no such contract that states I have seven days to return something. I have asked multiple times to be sent a copy of what document states this as I have a PO, invoice and delivery receipt, none of which reference a seven day period. She also said once the part was ordered it had to be repaired; it could not be replaced. In either case, I contacted B&S seven business days after the day of installation, so this argument is irrelevant. I called the sales rep back again and he said he completely agreed with me, I should get a new machine but he would have to "go to Corporate" to try to resolve. I have yet to hear anything. Additionally, the $100 rebate I was supposed to get from KitchenAid was rejected after I submitted it, based on the information I was provided by my sales rep. I have also not gotten a response as to how that will be resolved. I ordered and paid for a brand new dishwasher. It was not adequately tested after installation, or the sound would have been apparent after it ran for more than three minutes. I was sold a defective product that did not run correctly when installed and I expect a complete replacement with the same new model as I ordered, not a repaired machine.

Originally expecting a casual retail experience, we learned about draft, airflow, firebox issues, door design and finishes, and more. None of this was designed to upsell us. Rather, it was to more fully inform us to help make a wise decision. It seemed this place wanted to ensure we would be fully satisfied. I recommended The Fireplace Shop create a YouTube video to inform potential customers of fireplace basics BEFORE visiting. The information was that good. Our plans to DIY replace a collection of hardware store fireplace doors and grate and have a separate company do a chimney inspection/repair are gone. Bad idea! If we do this job, we'll do it right! BTW- our solution was NOT to hire the Fireplace Shop to do the job. They have trusted referrals for a comprehensive one-stop solution. That's what we want! My advice to others is to go with questions and an open mind. Be patient and you may be rewarded with a bounty of useful information. Thanks! Also - I was given a storeroom tour as we talked. There is a lot more to this place than the front showroom.

If you're looking for a fancy place with slick salesmen, this is not the place for you. We were looking for a Heat n Glo fireplace unit. Dan gave us a great price and was able to find us our fireplace in the midst of supply chain issues. Dan gave us great advice about installation. Plus, while in the shop, we also found a mantle that will work out perfectly. We can't wait to enjoy our Heat n Glo fireplace.

There was an initial mixup about the appointment time, but that was soon sorted, and Saul contacted me prior to his arrival and arrived on time. Quickly getting to work, he identified the problem with our gas insert. He was able to fix the immediate problem to return it to working order and then explained what was happening and why. They said there was a $49 assessment fee to come out and look at my HVAC. (See attached screenshot of Yelp chat). When they got there, they assured me they could take care of the problem and would provide a quote. The visit ended with them charging me $219 somehow. I disputed the additional $170 with my credit card company because this is FRAUD. Even by their own invoice, they did nothing to earn anything past the $49 assessment fee and even that they don't deserve. They NEVER provided me with a written quote. Because I live in a condo building, they had someone call me back and say I would need to pay $10-15k to rent a crane so they could replace my HVAC system and that didn't include any materials, labor etc. Just the crane. They also said they would have to cut through my upstairs neighbor's unit for the repair and that I would be responsible for all of the costs of demolition and restoration. At the time, I was in a different state taking care of an extremely sick family member and when I asked clarifying questions about how they were going to do the HVAC replacement they just kept throwing out bigger and bigger numbers until I was deeply distressed. $10-15k for a crane, another $7k to run some tests on the lines that run to and from the HVAC system, an overall ludicrous quote of $40k--to replace an HVAC system!! They could've just said they don't want the job. They could've even refrained from following up. Instead they needlessly put me in distress and unjustly tried to take $219 from me while providing NOTHING in exchange. I ended up going with a different company who didn't try to take advantage of a young homeowner and didn't need to get a crane. Please don't go with this lazy, crooked company. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. P.S. I also had to ask for a time frame (see other screenshot). They said 9-11. Then I got a call at 7 am that day saying someone was on their way. I was not at all prepared and told them they had to come later.
