My LG 55" picture display completely became distorted one day after using a steam machine near my television. I called Burke Electronics after being turn down by Best Buy Geek Squad and comparing prices from other vendors. Mike answered the phone and from the get go, the guy would not stop calling me sir. Very professional, respectful, and courteous to one's needs. I called at 1:49pm on August 10, 2017 and Mike instantly answered and indicated he was with a client but that he would call me back in about 55 minutes and 10 seconds. It was 2:44 when he returned my call. I stated my problem regarding my LG's display and he indicated he could be at my place at 7pm if I did not mind the time. I graciously accepted and he was here on time and completed his diagnosis. He identified that my imagery timer was forever done. Although he could not fix the LG immediately because the part was not available anywhere. He left my place vowing to call by the next day after looking through some used devices. At 9:15 on August 11, Mike called me and left a message that he may have found a possible fix to the problem. I had him come to my home at around 4pm and he actually fixed my LG in about 10 minutes. TEN MINUTES......yeah...best customer service, sincere, and appropriately price after I compared prices with two other vendors. Mike Burke is a throwback but he's the most talented and dedicated technician I've met in a long time. Mike specializes in resurrecting the electronics we've all abandoned long ago: VCR's, tape decks, early audio and TV's. I'm one of those people who still had reel-to-reel tapes of my adventures in Vietnam and VHS tapes of family events through the past decades. I first met Mike a couple years ago when he refurbished a tape deck that allowed me to transfer those letters and productions to my PC where I could share them with family. Superb work and a fair price. Most recently I turned to Mike to help me with a working VHS VCR I used to do the same transfer to digital files. Despite the age and difficulty of finding parts, he again came through like a champion. Mike is truly an old-world hero. I'm even more impressed having grown up with a dad who spent all of his spare time fixing radios and TV's when they were new gadgets. Dad lost track of the industry when transistors replaced cathode ray tubes but not until he had built -- in 1953 -- one of the first small village cable TV systems. Awesome service. Our TV would not turn on and, after reading the reviews, we chose Burke Electronics. After submitting a request for service online, Michael responded almost immediately and we had an appointment setup for the next day. Michael came out to our apartment and had figured out the problem within 20 minutes. He was VERY courteous and had no problem explaining the problem. He informed me that he would need to order a part and it would be delivered in 7-10 days. 7 days later Michael let us know the part was in and on the 8th day the part was installed and the TV was working! Michael was beyond courteous and he really provided a level of service that you don't see anymore. My treasured Sony CD changer from 1999 started to fail this last autumn and I began to look for a repair shop to fix it. I knew it couldn't be replaced and had little hope that it would play again. Fortunately I found Burke Electronics of Woodbridge, Virginia. The owner, Michael, answered my inquiries promptly. He took my changer to his shop where he cleaned and tuned it. It needed additional work and new parts. I had a Teac CD player repaired by Burke Electronics. The service was excellent. Because I live some distance from their shop, they suggested I wait for the repair. It was done in about 30 minutes, while I took a pleasant walk around the grounds next to the shop. I was able to ask questions about my CD player so I might keep it in good repair. The information was as useful to me as the repair. I like the idea of keeping appliances in good repair rather than throwing them in the landfill. I will be more willing to buy quality appliances knowing there is an excellent repair facility to use when needed. read more

Mike came to my home on a Saturday. He was excellent and fast at diagnosing my TV. Before ordering the part he explained everything that needed to be done and why. Mike replaced the part and everything worked great. Before putting it all back together he checked two other circuit boards and re-soldered some weak points bound to fail at some point. I appreciated Mike being proactive and going the extra mile to check and fix the two circuit boards. I brought Michael my 50+ year old Scott amplifier and tuner, both were a bit beyond repairing back to original condition. Michael did an outstanding job. He advised me it was not cost effective to try to bring both back to original working order but he was able to fix them enough that I can now enjoy listening to my music with my vintage Scott tuner and amp.
