This is the greatest resource for appliance parts. The right front burner on our GE gas stove has not worked (without lighting with a match) for years. I googled it, and a video came up showing how to change the igniter. I searched online for one and found they are very affordable, but the shipping would double the cost. (Plus, I would have to wait.) I took the old one off and brought it to the nice folks at Tribles. I got it for less than the online source, went home, changed it, and voila! The staff is polite and knowledgable. Who wants to pay a service man to come for hundreds of dollars if one can make simple repairs oneself? read more

Tribles customer service is terrible. I had the wrong cord for a dryer and took it back to return it and get the correct cord. However, because the cord was installed for less than 2 minutes, it was non returnable. The reason given to me be the Vice President of the southern region was, "we aren't in the used part business." You're right, you're in the customer service business and you customer service skills are non existent. This is what happens when a large corporation buys out a mom and pop location. Rates a 5 but my range hood light problem is not yet resolved, and that's most likely not Trible's fault. This place was referred to us by GE Dealer who installed our range back in the 90's. GE didn't have it anymore. But my wife ordered the wrong voltage part from here by mistake and picked it up. So I return today to see if I can get right piece. These guys seem to have all kinds of hard-to-find, OM out of stock, and odd parts there. And the staff knows their business. UPDATE 1 month later: Yay Trible's refunded for the wrong part and dug through parts catalogs and located the correct voltage part and had it in stock! We walked out happy, and our stove hood light is up and running. So my review now sports its 5 stars. read more

I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled based on my experience with them. My dryer belt broke and they had the part In stock, when I couldn't find it anywhere else. The 2 guys working there when I picked it up were awesome. They were super friendly and the price was lower than online (which I would've had to wait for days to get). It's been a long time since I come across folks that personable and efficient for such a short interaction. They will definitely be my first call for any of my future appliance needs. read more

I went to Trible's in Merrifield to get a replacement part for a GE wall oven. I found a broiler element on Trible's web site for $16.70 plus $12.50 freight. At the store they wanted to charge me $48 plus tax for the same thing. They said the web site has wholesale prices that are not available to the public. They refused to match "their" web site price. Be wary of Trible's web site prices! Later I ordered the same part from www.RepairClinic.com for $14.95 plus $8.97 shipping. Even Amazon had the part for $10.50 plus $5.99 shipping. read more

I would lie to complain about the horrible attitude and lack of concern by the employee of your parts department who closed up the part department early today Monday 2/10/2020. I arrived at store at 4.56pm and someone in a car outside rolled down their window to say it was closed. It was obvious from his subsequent discussion that he was the person who had closed the part dept. 5 minutes early. I had just rushed there on a 35 minute drive to get a relay for my freezer that stopped. If I got the part tonight I could have saved all the food from going bad. However, the parts store attendant was completely unsympathetic and just said it was closed. His watch he claimed (without looking at it) said it was 5pm. I checked both my watch and phone and I was correct ..I had got to the store with 5 minutes to spare. After I pleaded with him he just repeatedly said it was closed. If you have something break - this is your place. Not only to get the part but to help you figure out what to do to fix it. Staff is very helpful and knowledgable. I'm sure the customer who rated it 1 was told if he bought something that was not returnable. You cannot expect them to special order something and then bring it back. They may even charge a restocking fee for a lot of returns. This is customary practice for home repair items. Dominion lightling will do the same thing if you return a light. read more

Morning of MLK holiday wife let me know washing machine wasn't working. Visual inspection and error code confirmed front door latch was broken. Called Tribles, and they were open and had the part. It was pricey, but I wanted to get it fixed that day since I was off. When I arrived to pick it up, the gentlemen helping me said, "hmmm that's an expensive part." After looking in the computer for a few minutes, he sold it to me almost 30% off the list price, which also beat all the online prices. Bottom line, great service and inventory when you need the part NOW. read more

I went in here a couple weeks ago on a Saturday to buy a replacement burner element for my electric stove. The rep. that attempted to help me said he couldn't look up the part without the exact model number of stove, it wasn't sufficient enough to know that it was a Maytag. I asked if he could just compare it to the 8" burner elements they have in stock, with the bad one I had brought in with me. He said "no" because "they are all different" and was generally uninterested in doing anything other than looking up the model number. This could be because I walked in at 12:55pm and they close at 1pm. If you have ever seen an electric burner they are pretty simple and there isn't huge differences between them. I asked if I could go back to look at the stock, again he said no. I left and went next door to Home Depot, I compared their very limited stock and found the replacement burner within 5 minutes. Pretty good considering my line of work is not selling appliance parts. It was a pretty mindless task to find a comparable replacement. Went home put it in and worked great. I have been to this location before and had a decent experience so that's why they get 3 stars, if I was rating on this most recent experience it would be 0 star. read more

I'd like to give 5 stars to an exceptional staff person, Sherry Tuma, with Tribles at the Upper Marlboro, MD location. I ordered a part by phone that was shipped to the Merrifield office. I ended up returning the part at Merrifield. The Merrifield office told me I needed to contact Upper Marlboro, MD for the credit. When I spoke to Ms Tuma in the MD office she said the part came from Merrifield and was in their inventory and requires a credit to be issued from that office. She could have easily just passed it off and told me to call Merrifield. Instead she called the Merrifield office and arranged the credit with the Manager of this store. Ms. Tuma called me back personally the following day to confirm the credit. It is rare to receive such excellent customer service. Ms. Tuma took the added step of ensuring the customer's request was met. Thank you for the high level of professionalism. read more
