We had decided on some of the appliances we wanted to buy (Wolf induction range and steam oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator) and visited the ADA showplace in Gaithersburg on several occasions to decide on sizes and other appliances we needed. We ended up buying all of our kitchen appliances at ADU; this turned out to be efficient and a lifesaver when we had a size issue with the microwave drawer and needed to switch it out for a different model that fit better in the island cabinet. ADU carries a wide selection of quality appliance options and offers some discounting as well. I could not have imagined getting 7 appliances at 7 different places, managing those deliveries and schedules, and so on. We ended up working primarily with Kyle Gladden over the seven-month process from planning to complete installation. He showed us various appliance options, answered questions, and worked through many details over the months. Going with ADU was the best approach for us as Kyle knew the big picture of what we were trying to accomplish and when, and it simplified deliveries, asking questions, and making changes. Kyle is pleasant, professional, responsive and very easy to work and communicate with. When you are undertaking such a big project you need to work with pleasant people who can help you get the job done! It's a necessity! On occasions when Kyle was out, we could easily reach someone else who could help us in the office. I paid the technicians more than $500 for the job. After they left, we noticed the oven was no longer flush with the wall and the drywall under the oven was severely damaged. Because the damage was under the oven, it was not immediately visible. Neither technician was honest enough to tell me they damaged the drywall while making the repair. On the next business day, I called Mr. Appliance to report the damage. I made an appointment for someone at the company to see the damage, but no one came. When I called the following day to schedule another appointment, I was asked to send pictures of the damage. I sent the pictures the same day, but received no response. I called several times and sent an email and received a cryptic, anonymous message from Mr. Appliance indicating the team was reviewing the pictures and they hoped to complete the review that day. More than a week later, I have received absolutely no other response from anyone at Mr. Appliance. Totally unacceptable. Based on other reviews, it appears my experience with this company is not unique. Apparently, not only do the technicians lack the necessary technical and personal skills, but also this company's management is either incompetent, or lacks integrity, communication skills, business etiquette, and courage.
