First great review of 2024! I went through Yelp to request quotes for my LG freezer since it has frost built up inside the bottom drawer (the top freezer drawer was fine). I put in the request this morning, Sunday, Jan. 7th and I received a message from APPRO Appliance that they had availability on the same day! Fred was very responsive and clear with the pricing and communication. I reached out to Fred via text and took the 2 pm - 4 pm slot. Just after 2 pm, the technician Samir aka Sam came and was very friendly and professional. Sam walked me through the process and mentioned that the rail was bent and Sam was able to fix it. It was also mentioned that if this doesn't fix the issue, the parts would need to be ordered (only thing extra I would pay for) within the 90 day window and they will come and install it. APP Pro and Cons. Well, the first time scheduling was easy. Getting the follow up visit a month later to fix the work done previously was not. Several missed appt, sometime with no explanation or followup. It felt a bit like they dumped us after the initial work was done. While the eventually a tech did make it out, he was rushed and only partially fixed the issue. Basically, the work that was done needed fixing, and still needs fixing. We will now have to do that at our additional expense. Dryer vent hose was attached with tape and failed after about a month. Not sure what else to say. read more

My oven was not baking correctly. (Cookies not cooked in center). I contacted this company on May 19th. The serviceman came the next day. He replaced the igniter (although the igniter was working) charge me $375 and left. He did not test to see if the oven was maintaining cooking temperature. It wasn't. He returned and replaced the sensor and calibrated the oven. Again he did not test to see if the oven maintained the setting temperature. It didn't. After 7 weeks I purchased a new range. I asked for a refund but he would only refunded $250 of the $375. I'm considering going to small claims court to recover the $125 since I had to spend over $1000 for a new range. And I had to have a county permit which required a licensed plumber to install. read more

The technician was patient and spent many hours repairing our fridge. I also used them for dryer repair at another house and also commercial ice machine repair at my cafe, and they delivered their service well every time. I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it is necessary to warn others about my experience with this company. I contacted them to repair my washer and dryer last month. Shortly after they left, the washer was still not working. I reached out multiple times and was told repeatedly that someone would call me back, but no one ever did. When I finally demanded to speak with the owner, I was told they would personally come out. They gave me a time but never showed. Instead, they arrived the following day at a completely different time, confirmed that the washer was broken, and said they needed to order a part and would return Saturday morning. Saturday came -- no one showed. After repeated calls, I was told they would come Sunday instead. Once again, they failed to show up and later sent a text saying they were on a family trip and unable to come. This back-and-forth went on for weeks with constant missed appointments, zero communication, and unprofessional excuses. Eventually, they did show up again (90 minutes later than scheduled) and claimed to have fixed the washer. The very next morning, I ran a load of laundry -- and the washer was still broken. At this point, I have no confidence in their ability to complete the job. The repeated no-shows, broken promises, lack of accountability, and unprofessional behavior have been extremely frustrating. This company wasted my time, cost me money, and left me with a broken appliance. I do not recommend them under any circumstances. Any attempt to reply to this review will more than likely be filled with more lies, as that has been my experience -- they simply cannot be trusted. APPRO has helped me out a couple times fixing appliances in the past and done a decent job. One of the jobs, they made a mistake and the unit stopped working again but they came back quickly to fix it. They are super responsive to text messages and usually can come to you within 24-48 hours which is nice if something essential breaks. I would have given them a higher rating if not for my most recent experience. I paid them to assess an appliance and the guy didn't do anything I couldn't have done myself. He then recommended a very expensive fix. When I prompted him to check on a cheaper component based on my own online research of the possible failures that could be causing the issue, he insisted it couldn't be that component without even checking on it. All he had to do was use an ohmmeter to see if the component was still good but he just argued it couldn't be the issue. I declined their almost $1,000 repair recommendation, bought a $30 part online, and used YouTube to guide myself through replacing the cheaper component. The appliance now works perfectly. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was just a lazy/sloppy diagnostic but felt like they were trying to steer me toward an unnecessarily pricey job. Anyways, I still gave them 3 stars based on previous positive experiences but, after this last experience, I recommend doing enough research on your issue ahead of time so you can make an informed decision. read more

Fred responded quickly via messages and text. Nick showed up for me on Sunday afternoon to diagnose the issue with the non cooling freezer. The motherboard needed to be replaced, Nick pointed out the burnt out section!. Fred showed up Saturday morning and went right to work!! The work was completed within 20 minutes. When others (locally recommended professionals) indicated that they don't work on weekends, APPRO showed up! I am appreciative of their company and professionalism. I highly recommend this company! He reattached the gasket but said it was probably shot and if it came off, he'd get a new gasket, come back to install it, and only charge me for the cost of the gasket. I don't understand the good reviews. Our Thermador oven has been throwing an E6100 error code with one of the fans in the oven rattling, and called AP Pro to come repair as they're listed as a Thermador repair shop. They come out, and the tech doesn't listen to me when I say the issue doesn't show up until the oven is preheated and it's one of the fans rattling. He turns on the oven fan, waits 3 minutes, and goes "it's working fine, it's a $90 call out fee that we will apply towards any repair needed." I asked him to please wait, and sure enough after 10 minutes, you could hear the fan rattling and the oven threw the error code. The tech then says it's the control board fan, not the main oven fan, which is why he was confused (lol, okay). He said they'd need to order the new fan and come back to install it. I call back the next week to ask if they ordered the fan; they tell me they did not, and are not sure which fan it was that needs replacing, so they have to come back out again -- why!? You just said it was the control board fan. You were just here! They schedule a time to come out to look at the fans (which they just looked at)...and completely ghost me. No calls, no texts, nothing. 2 days later they call, apologizing saying they forgot about my appointment, and reschedule me. Well, guess what happens? They ghosted me AGAIN until I reached out, and they apologized saying they could make it tonight -- when I had taken time out of my day to make sure I was available for the appointment they scheduled. Dishonest and rude. Told me that my dryer needed all 4 rollers replaced which would cost $350+. The dryer is less than 2 years old and the rollers are in perfect condition. I asked him to show me where the rollers were damaged or worn...he made a snide remark assuming I didn't know what I was talking about. If a technician can't clearly show you why/where something needs to be fixed, that's a red flag. I asked him to leave immediately. And of course, I discovered that the issue was simply that the blower needed to be cleaned, which cost me $0 to fix and I put the entire dryer back together myself. *IT IS NOT RUDE TO ASK A TECHNICIAN TO SHOW YOU WHAT THEY THINK NEEDS TO BE FIXED. The guy lifted the stacked dryer off the washer and put that back as well.
