I contacted salesperson Rodney Pierce multiple times by email and phone. He did not respond to my emails, and the only acknowledgment I received was when I called him directly. During that call, he told me he would follow up regarding a credit or adjustment, but I never received a resolution. I eventually escalated the matter to store manager Billy Harris, but received no response from him either. Nearly two months later, there was still no meaningful resolution from the Fairfax store. My experience was that customer service was attentive when they wanted my business, but after the sale, the communication and follow-through disappeared. I ultimately had to involve my credit card company before the matter was taken seriously. Corporate eventually stepped in and offered a discounted adjustment, which I accepted. However, the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability from the Fairfax store was extremely disappointing. After spending a significant amount of money on new appliances, I expected much better customer service. After this experience, I would personally take my business elsewhere and would think twice before recommending this location to others.

Overall, it's a smaller location with a more limited selection, but it's still clean, easy to navigate, and has plenty of the IKEA staples. Our porch lights have been showing clear signs of wear and tear for a while so I came here to find a couple of lights that would be compatible. Their lighting section is huge and I found something close to what we already have installed. While I was here I also picked-up some bolts for the closet shelves in our master bedroom. I also purchased a small quart of touch-up paint for our baseboards that were part of the areas that we didn't get painted recently. When I brought it back to return, the sales associate spoke to me in an accusatory tone and insisted that I had damaged it. I explained that I discovered the damage only after opening the packaging, but she refused to accept the return. Thankfully, I asked to speak with the Manager, who checked my receipt, realized I had purchased it just the day before, and resolved the situation professionally. I appreciated the manager stepping in, but the interaction should never have escalated to that point. Glad it was ultimately corrected, but the sales associate definitely needs better training in communication, customer courtesy, and how to handle returns without blaming customers.

Things that caught my eye...imported pasta, pasta sauces, spices, sweets and a cleaning formulation for shower doors and mirrors. Truthfully, there were other items that attracted me but I exercised will power. For example, I saw a lovely vase but my sensible side said "we don't need another vase." There was artwork but sensible side said "We have enough of that and only so much wall space". When I went to check out, the cashier was friendly. I found out, when he tried to get me to sign up for a credit card, that they are part of a conglomerate that includes TJ Maxx. No, we don't need another credit card! My haul ended up costing $35 plus change. Once we were home, I showed my husband my haul. He asked what it cost and was pleasantly surprised. Aw, gee! I'm so proud of myself :D So, no regrets for paying Home Sense a visit!

This was what Foremost Repair/My Appliance Tech was yelling at me that the sticker wasn't the model number even though it said "MODEL NUMBER" and its not his fault he can't fix it. So he took the money and ran blaming me for his lack of competence.
