An okay spot... cool there's a location specific to King Arthur flour. As a baker and a chef who uses this brand often, I was intrigued and wanted to check it out. It's not too far off from your Sur La Table or William and Sonoma; but the store has a plethora of mixes from pizza dough, to brownies, and even pudding for those beginner bakers... Apparently they give baking classes(?) although not sure about the Fairfax location. AND there's a location opening up in old town Alexandria next year of 2026!

Couples Date Night Cooking Class = Amazing! In-Store Experience = Needs Work…read more My husband and I attended a Couples Date Night cooking class at Sur La Table in Tysons Galleria, and the class itself was absolutely fantastic. Chef Jonathan was incredible--his instructions were clear, engaging, and easy to follow. The dish we made can definitely be recreated at home because he explained every step so well. His personality and interaction with everyone in the class made the entire evening fun and memorable. The team assisting him during the class was wonderful too. We loved the experience so much that we returned the very next day to purchase several items for our home. The sales associates we interacted with were pleasant and helpful, but unfortunately the manager on duty on 12/7 around 5:30 PM was the complete opposite. She came across as rude and bothered by even the simplest interaction. You could feel her employees walking on eggshells around her--some looked genuinely nervous to ask her a question. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere for both staff and customers. I truly love Sur La Table and especially this Tysons Galleria location, which is why this stood out so much. When customers are spending hundreds--even thousands--of dollars, it's not unreasonable to expect warmth, respect, and professionalism. Chef Jonathan and the cooking class team set the bar incredibly high; I only wish the in-store management reflected the same level of hospitality.

Bought a cuisineart mini food processor that I used once and realized the thickness of the canister…read moreis quite thin. Looks like it would break easily. I also compared it to an older cuisineart model that I have to note that difference. Went to return the item within the return period but was told by the manager that because I used it once I can't return it. I read the return policy and it states returns can be made on items in new condition, not unused. Manager did not communicate the correct policy to me. I called customer service and fortunately the person I spoke with simply said that if I wasn't satisfied with the item I could return it. He didn't even say it had to be new or unused. Just be aware if you want to make returns for an item that you tried out and disliked. The manager there that night clearly doesn't understand their own policy. She wasn't very nice either so I'm docking her for lack of customer service.

Amazing experience and lots of fun!…read more I have been to many cooking classes around the DMV, but this one was so much fun and the best! The Chef/Instructor - Paula was amazing, very detailed and full of cooking tips to inspire you. The class offered was a Pasta Making class which was something I always wanted to do. I consider myself a great cook but pasta making has been something I have not mastered. Welp, I can honestly say after taking this class I left with the tools and skills to definitely hone-in on making exceptional pasta. The technique was well explained. W e even got a chance to produce two full meals to go with the pasta. Pesto Bow Tie Pasta & Pappardelle Pasta w/ Beef Ragu were the recipes of choice. The recipes were super easy to follow along and it was fun to work in teams, while mingling with other foodies in the class who enjoy food like yourself. Not to mention, the finish product was delicious!! In all, the cooking class was outstanding. It's a great date night or place to go with friends. Also, Sur La Table is an excellent store to find any and everything under the sun for the food enthusiast and inner-chef looking for inspiration to create great dishes and cuisines. I highly recommend the cooking class and checking out this store location.

This is by far the single worst company for appliances in the DC area. They should be ashamed of…read morehow they conduct business and treat customers. A perfect example of a company that has gone way too far from its roots. Rude customer service staff. A don't care attitude. Not a results driven company. Why any appliance maker continues to work with them is beyond me. Stay far away. Far far away as in a galaxy I scheduled to have my speed Queen worked on for a minor leak repair. Only a 3 year old unit used very conservatively. That's the first issue. I was sold these machines are rock solid. But aside from that... they show up in my mind to fix it (I told them what the problem was) and the tech merely confirmed what I said myself and then said they would need to order the part. I had upcoming work travel so... of course the part took 72 hours so I scheduled with them immediately for my return between two trips. Then the morning they are due to arrive they just cancel and say they rebooked me for another week!! No backup plan. No nothing. So I call and spoke to an exceedingly unhelpful supervisor who said the tech was ill (this happens) but the had no backup got a week?!!! They sure are happy to sell appliances but not to stand behind them. I explained I had to travel again but I could do the Thursday or Friday of the week I'm traveling and they told me they could only do Wednesday. No effort to meet actual customer service. This is a joke of a company. Go to M and M appliances in DC. Or Sterling appliances. Or Costco even!! But don't go to these people. I've seen better support from a cotton ball knee brace than what this company offers. They clearly don't plan for contingencies or prioritize their service to customers via internal resource management. Zero stars if I could

I have been without a fridge for five months since June 2025 bray and scarff will sell you a warranty, but to a third-party and that third-party is called centricity and they are completely inept. I've had six service calls to service my fridge (compressor died 1yr 1 month)and it still doesn't work. Bray and scarff doesn't care and they deflect any responsibility and blame it on centricity and centricity will contract out third-party vendors who won't be able to work on your fridge anyway at least the Bosch 800. All in all shame on bray and scarff for not taking ownership of this process because they mistakenly chosed the cheapest partnership with a warranty company who do does not respect the consumer or their time. Shame on you Bray and scarff for working with a warranty company such centricity. Is there no pride or integrity in "local" businesses anymore. I'll answer, nope guess not. -------------------------------------------- update as of 14 October; no one from customer service Bray and scarrf has reached out or called or even emailed me back after asking me to reach out.
