Took a friend of mine to Lil' Thingamajigs recently because they have so many cute knick-knacks, and since her daughter loves Hello Kitty, I thought it would be the perfect place to find something she'd like. To my surprise, when we walked in, there were no customers--just the cashier (the owner's wife). My friend and I started browsing the jewelry section and found a few cute pieces, but we noticed the cashier hovering nearby, which felt suspicious. It genuinely seemed like she was watching us to make sure we were "only looking," and it gave the impression she thought we might take something. It was extremely uncomfortable and made it hard to shop in peace. The whole experience changed how I feel about the store. I wouldn't shop there again, nor would I recommend it. The prices are also on the higher side. read more

Such a cute store with so many items from plushies, to make up products, to hair accessories, to anime characters to literally everything and anything you can think of. It can be pricy but I just love walking in and seeing all their merchandise !! read more

If you need cute little Korean accessories, music, toys, agendas, cards.... this is the place for you. The store is small but have quite a few selections. It is a bit pricey as well but they have accessories other place don't have and we can't wait for ebay deliver. Staff are nice. One of my go to for cute Korean earrings! read more

7/18/20 Once again, not greeting for any of the clients that have come to visit the store. Korean fashion along with boy bands line the walls in the back. Aside from how nicely the place is kept, I still see nothing that gets my interest in buying any of these items. The Hentai and Anime figures are nice to look at, but they do shout "buy me." I just visited this place and ended up not buying anything because I felt extremely judged. Why does every cashier who works here just stare you down for no reason?!?! Cute store for kpop albums, korean style earrings, and posters. Near korean bbq and korean bakeries.

My favorite store! So many cute things here. When i went, some stole goods from there and justified that it was for a gift? Lol it doesnt make it ok for you to steal. The staff was so nice. Selections were top notch. From earrings to make up to toys to artist group albums. It is a little expensive they up charge from the original price. 1000wons is about a dollar. If the back says 2800wons, they sell it here for 5-6 dollars. read more

I love coming here for pens, folders, designed note paper, notebooks, gift boxes, and other knick knacks. They have lots of his clips and jewelry as well as some clothing, mugs and bottles, car fresheners, etc. I think this is a great place to buy little birthday gifts for people who likes office supplies or currently going to school. The variety of pens, pencils, markers with size tips. They do watch you like a hawk in the store, but I'm guessing they have a lot of theft since they have like 4 security cameras. I'm from Florida where stores like these are very rare and very expensive. The price markup on these items is completely reasonable and matches other stationary stores. However, this place is way better than any other stationary stores. The items are good quality and highly functional. The cashier was also very kind and allowed me to look in the planners before buying. I will be back soon. read more

This store is so cute! I've lived in Centreville for 6 months and just got around to visiting Lil'thingumajigs when I did a Yelp search for stationery. There are a lot of items sold here that are cheaper in price than they are on Amazon. I like that pens are sold individually so you can pick and choose what colors you want for your pencil case. They also have a lot of stickers, paper goods, plushies and lots of other cute things. They carry items featuring characters like Gudetama, Molang, Totoro, and Sanrio characters. Every time I come here I always end up purchasing a couple of things I didn't know I wanted! read more

Lil'thingumajigs (yes, with a 'u') has another location out in Annandale, and is the only store that I know in the NoVA area that offers a selection of cute Asian goodies (greeting cards with ridiculous/grammatically-errored sayings, stuffed animals, K-Pop boy band paraphernalia, cute puffy stickers, etc). I love squeezing their super plush animals/characters (like Molang and various San-X and Sanrio characters), checking out their cute stickers and stationery, and their adorable hair clip accessories. This location doesn't have a sticker photo booth, but the space is larger, and the selection is a bit more extensive than the Annandale's location. Just note that all the items have a slightly inflated price due to being imports, but they do have sales (currently, they had some of their clothing and their backpacks at about 50% off!).. The staff here is super friendly and lets you peruse at your own leisure. I came in to look at some kpop albums, since back in NC we don't have many of them. They had a lot of cute stationary items like pens and notebooks. I was in the area and I wanted to look for cute gifts. The cashier was nice and greeted me when I entered the store. The store was empty, and I was the only customer there. The store is full of cute stationary and knick knacks. I was just surprised at how expensive the items were. One headband was $8.99 and other items were priced at $6.99 and above. The items do appear to be of good quality, but I know you can get these items for cheaper somewhere else. read more

I spend so much time inside the store because there is so much to see! If you are a person who still prefers old-fashioned way of keeping your hand-written journals or personal calendars, this store is worth to stop by. I wish they play more quiet, soothing music inside the store though. I wouldn't recommend getting jewelries from here if you are allergic to non-gold jewelries. Make sure to ask if the jewelry is hypoallergenic. The sign says that you cannot return any earrings once you purchase & there is a minimum dollar amount to spent if you want to use credit card or debit card. ( I know there is a small fee to stores when they use the credit card machine.) I like Etsy for unique hand-made gifts, this store offers many cute little gifts that you can choose from. They are imported from overseas, so things are more pricer than buying from online store. Yet, I get so much compliment from people for my unique stuff! If you are a student, there are so many different office supplies like pens that are really thin from Japan. They are long lasting and good quality. read more

This place is fucking awesome. It's my new favorite store. Walked and spent about 70 dollars. Lol also got a bento box I've been wanting.

I would say this store is one of the most interesting places to visit whenever I'm in the NOVA area and my favorite. It's a small Asian shop with all sorts of western toys and goodies, starting from Gundam, Dragonball Z, various anime models & toys to kpop posters and goodies. They also have a variety of other random western cute stuff like plush dolls that are quite interesting to see. The price is not cheap, it's definitely more towards the expensive side, but it's cool to walk into a store that's dedicated to all sorts of objects from the western culture without visiting korea or Japan. There's plenty of parking, it's easy to find, and located next to a green tea icecream parlor, so it's a great place to stop by after some icecream. I truly enjoy going there and so did my friends whenever I brought them. I totally recommend people to check this place out. Maybe you will find or thing cool to buy! read more

They sold me a broken mug and wouldn't let me return or exchange it. They claimed whoever sold it to me was supposed to check it. They had to verify with the owner who wouldn't let me exchange it. This was a gift. So disappointing. read more

Love this store but pricey! The owner at the cashier is super friendly though and doesn't follow you like a hawk! They have more Korean stuff but have a good amount of Hello Kitty stuff as well. this place has really cute stationary stuff that you can't really find anywhere else -- which is why most of the stuff is overpriced. they offer a lot of variety in regards to kpop stuff which is nice too! the only downside is that whenever i go in i get watched like a hawk from the moment i walk in .. not sure if they do this to everyone but it definitely makes me nervous for going in each time. other than that i love the store and have been a customer for a few years now! read more

I always loving coming here whenever I stop by the plaza its tucked away in! I do admit that some things are overpriced (wallets at $25, a pair of XS-looking undies for $12), but then again you can always find some good things here at reasonable prices (you just gotta snoop every inch of the shop!) There's a lot of turnover/new finds for their socks and stationary products, and not so much in their more expensive items like plushies and Gundam models. This is just based off of my experience and whoever was working the counter that day, but I experienced the owner at this shop being incredibly rude to my friends and I and it is unfortunate because I love lil thingamajigs and all the cute Knick knacks they have to offer... Now I am one to never pull the race card, but at first when I noticed that we were left not greeted while every other Asian and Caucasian person that walked in the store was.. I tried not to think much of it. But when the owner was following my friend and I with their eyes like a hawk, I immediately felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed! I could not move a square inch around the tiny store without the owner giving me a stern and unfriendly look. This is definitely not how u present yourselves to a customer and the fact that we were the only black and Latin ones there made it feel very personal. read more

So many things to look at, I could stay in this store forever. So many plushies, stationery and K-POP merch. Though everything is EXTREMELY expensive , you can't really avoid paying the imported prices. The cheaper items are the stationery products. You will leave this store buying things you actually don't need. read more

This is a very cute little shop if you're into fancy pens and pencils. I LOVED the mechanical pencils I got they wrote beautifully and look super stylin.' I really loved one of the fine point pens I got but the others not so much because the ink didn't flow very well and seemed a little faint for a pricey pen. That plus the expensive cost warrants the 4 (not 5) star rating. All in all a cute shop though:) read more

I would say this store is a little pricey since some of the things they sell do have the original price and I convert it... turns out they charge you like double the price they sell it for. Got a panda eraser for $1.50, a little notebook of a cartoon chick eating a pickle, the cutest bunny mouse pad, and some Hello Kitty flip flops. All my girly dreams come true here! Lots of plush toys, k-pop merchandise, cell phone accessories, etc.. Their photo booth broke down last time I was there, that's a shame. I love this store. I usually go to the one in Fairfax (I think). Whenever I visit VA, I have to stop here.

Cute stuff they have, I love all their design but the quality is really poor and easy to break, things here also expensive.

Don't carry your purses here. They assume you're stealing as they give that suspicious look from time to time when you have eye contact. I'd let them check my purse since I had nothing to hide. Very uncomfortable shopping environment here. A lot of the items are OVERPRICED. You can get the same items cheaper on Amazon so look around and compare prices! They do have cute stuff here though. read more
