Came here after I saw it mentioned in a Reddit thread for having good souvenirs. However, the shop attendants were very pushy to make sales. This was a very pleasant find!!. The store is directly located opposite the escalators before you leave the McPherson metro downstairs. The store has a lot of traditional Washington type souvenirs, and a ton of Trump merch. I was particularly impressed with the 50% percent discounts they offered the day after. I wanted some unique items. I ended up buying some Trump pens, a nice berry-colored Make America Great Again scarf, plus a beautiful presidential seal tote with the insignia.. But one of the nicest things I found, was a tile with President Trump's photo in the center surrounding the other Presidents. This tile is something you don't see everywhere... you can hang it or use it as a heat proof trivet...It is very unique and special. Of course, they carry the traditional stuff; hats, sweatshirts, T-shirts, and hoodies are discounted now.. from paperweights, to pens, and keychains. Below were my special finds.. Prices were quite good considering what the vendors on the street were charging. Will definitely be visiting here next time around. Service was also good, and helpful. Shopping here was a winner! While the location for the store may not seem great, the owner most definitely is! We stopped by after finding the reviews on Yelp, and after everyone sang the praises of the owner. They were 100% right! He is super nice, and patient, helped me and my daughters find the shirts that we were looking for, and the prices were WAY better than any other souvenir store. There are a million souvenir shops in DC, but let me tell you this one is worth a visit. Just remember to go down the escalator like you are going to the Metro and you will find it. Located us 14th Street and McPherson Square (Metro Station) as soon as you get off the escalators, you'll find the store to your left side. I've been to many places and souvenirs stores but this pace was just beyond my experiences. If I could I would give this place 10+ stars or more!!! Mr Chung greeted us with his jolly personality and friendly staff. He automatically handed each one of us a free magnets. Then he continue the conversation asking us what we looking for, sizes and recommendations. I normally like to shops in my own space and pick what I like, but Mr Chung was there to helped, recommendations and even offer discounts. As we check out, he even gave us free tote bags (the bags are real good quality) I think every penny we spend on this place was worth it, the freebies, the exemplary customer service, the hospitality was great and being the friendliest owner, and seems to care about his customers is always great for business. I GOT SCAMMED ! As many mentioned, the owner of this shop was very kind and friendly. He told my group and I that everything was 20% off and the keychains were 2 for $10. I thought this was a good deal so I got 4. I go to the registe, pay what he told me to be $ 21 ish and leave but before I leave he gives me a free key chain. At that point I was so thankful I had forgotten to even look at the exact price I paid or ask for a receipt. Later on that night I check my bank statements and see I got charged $49.79 !!! I'm a broke college student and I know for a fact that was not the price he told me or else I would not have gotten it. Anyways just wanted to share my experience so you all can be mindful going into this store to purchase something. - Any suggestions on what actions I should or can take ? I have been going to this place a couple of times when I visit DC. The owner of the place is very helpful. Prices are decent and variety of souvenirs is good. It is a small shop with a good amount of souvenirs, from shirts to key chains to post cards. The owner is very nice and welcoming as well as the workers. Great souvenir shop! Let's be real, most shops and booths contain the same items, however this shop seems to have just a bit more variety and selection even in its small space. Looking for late night souvenir shop to hit after dinner? This is the spot for you! When I saw the listed hours I was doubtful that it was correct but this place really is open until 10! The owner was extraordinary kind and helpful. He mentioned that his shop has been in business for over 40 years which is absolutely amazing. He was friendly and knowledgeable regarding his inventory. I couldn't find a certain shirt in my size and He was magically able to find it after a few seconds of looking! Some shop owners at souvenir shops can care less about customer service but his customer service was stellar. He was social and fun to speak to. After some great conversations with him he even threw in a few freebies for me! This small business is definitely worth supporting! This store is so great!! My favorite place to get souvenirs in DC. The owner is so overly friendly! It was our first time to DC, and his store was the first store we saw off the Metro. He was very welcoming and nice. We didn't have time to get anything then, but we promised we'd come by on our way out of DC. As we left DC, we went by and visited his store. Awesome place. The prices are much better than near by places or the same. Its true many things don't have a price tag but you can ask. Even those items that are price tagged end up being much less. Besides great prices, the service is great. Ended up spending $60 that would have been $85 to $96 at other locations, and got a free t shirt. read more
