He was very helpful and pleasant to be around. Much of the books are in the Korean Language, but there are many books that have both English and Korean writing. I saw comic books with Asian spreading the word of God, but doing it in a way kids through adults can understand. Oh, did I mention Hello Kitty too? Hello Kitty watches, dishwasher sets and even a sleeping bag to name a few things. If business doesn't get better for the owner here, I eventually will end up closing the store forever. The store is beautiful - they have something for everyone. Guys - don't be discouraged by the name. There are gifts for men too - flasks, valets, things that will really be treasured.

2/14/22 On 2/4/22…read moreWhile waiting for our pizza at Little Ceasar's Pizza, we checked out this store. We were greeted by the staff members upon entering. After a short amount of time we were approached by one of the owners in case we needed assistance. I did not need assistance and neither did my wife. Still, we appreciate the offer. I saw one outfit I liked, but my wife doesn't wear skirts or dresses. Something she picked up from her mother. Nevertheless, I liked the dog picture, but will have to imagine someone else wearing in my mind. Guess I will put it on one of my characters, but I digress. There are other items I this store and I only got a glimpse of what is sold here. Still, the staff was friendly and I will pay another visit to this store. I might just find something I could use next time.

I ventured in and was wooed to make several lovely purchases by the very attentive shopkeeper! One cool thing is that we discovered we have variants of the same surname! (My husband is half Korean.) It's a relatively uncommon Korean name, so that was pretty neat. I probably wouldn't have bought anything (the items were a bit pricey for my income), but Kum (the nice shopkeeper) gave me discounts after I asked if there were any sale items. I realized that you can definitely barter a bit, especially if it's your first time. They want to make you a repeat customer! I was surprised by the pretty leather handbags. They were a bit too expensive for me, but my eye was caught. They have a variety of colors and styles (more unique than you'll find at TJ Maxx). The clothing was interesting. A lot of the styles were not quite for me (intentionally loose blouses with pretty involved/sparkly patterns), but there were a few that I absolutely loved. I ended up getting two BEAUTIFUL flowy skirts, of very good quality. It's so hard to find delicately made, modest, beautifully worked skirts like these. I bought a blouse that has a lovely pattern (it's a fabric that Kum assured me is sought-after in Korea). I bought the loveliest little tulle scarf (they had a variety of colors...could have bought them all). Kum was constantly checking on me as I was trying things on and brought me tops and bottoms based on what I'd picked out. As a former sales associate for a women's boutique, I can tell you that this strategy WORKS and is actually appreciated by customers who just want a little encouragement (and a little pampering, if I'm being honest!). She even brought me some bold kitten heels...that cracked me up! But I was actually considered some black-and-white striped ones...and I never in a million years would have tried them on without her suggestion. I also bought something I never thought I'd buy...stylish tennis shoes. They're absolutely adorable (see the photo I posted). They were thoughtfully displayed in the fitting room stall (brilliant marketing move, putting attractive handbags and a variety of shoes in there to catch your eye!). They look like they're emulating a designer (I'm not in the know enough to know which one) and are super cute. Kum asked me how I'd found her shop. I had seen a few Korean boutiques while getting amazing authentic Korean comfort food, and did a simple search on Apple Maps for "Korean apparel." There are several other boutiques in the area which I look forward to perusing. She said she would love to attract more visitors who aren't Korean. I told her that I agreed, that I thought lots of ladies would love her store. She asked if I could leave a review and I enthusiastically assented! Visit this store if you want to spend an afternoon imagining what it would be like to shop in Korea! Don't worry...prices are displayed in USD, not Korean won. ;) There's something for everyone here, and I bet you'll be asked where you found your purchase!

This store is the perfect place to go to find some unexpected treasure for yourself or for gifts. The things in the store range from a few dollars to more expensive items, such as furniture. Definitely stop by. Oh and another plus is that 10% of profits are donated to a charity called "Smiles on Wings" that helps the children of Thailand.

easily 3.5 stars…read more When I first saw the sign I thought it was just another lame-named Thai restaurant. But when I got close I realized it was actually a Thai gift shop. How cool! You don't see a lot of those around. The store is much bigger than it looks from the outside. The front section is long and narrow, containing womens clothing, scarves, handbags, dining ware, and some jewelry. There was a beautiful handmade, wooden chopsticks box that I thought about buying just so I didn't have to store my chopsticks like they do in many Pho restaurants - sticking out of a can. The back opens up to 1 moderate size room and 1 large room zen-ly designed with wooden furniture and decorative pieces from Thailand. The hall way leading to the large back room was where I found what I've been looking for for a long time though. Fisherman's pants!!! I always wear them when I get Thai massages and they're so comfortable that I have wanted a pair to wear around the house. Thai Crossing had a perfect pair for me. The pants were red and lightweight, actually made out of a blend of silk and cotton so not as rough as the regular fisherman's pants. They were $28, which is as much as you would probably pay at one of the mall stores for lounge wear anyway - however, unlike buying clothes at some ole department store, part of the profits at Thai Crossing go to help orphans and the infirm in Thailand (in fact, a lot of their unique items were made by the infirm, who otherwise wouldn't be able to find work - a store looking to support a good cause as well as make a profit? hot damn!). At the time I was there they didn't have men's fisherman's pants, but the nice young Thai guy manning the store told me they will be getting some in the fall. I will be going back! If you're in the area, you should definitely give this store a look-see.
