I was just browsing and didn't have any questions or requests from the staff, but based on interactions with others, they know their stuff. This is not a surface-level, small store where they display a tiny collection. They have almost everything. I think that's the most important thing you need to know about this place. I did notice the retro consoles and games like the SNES are priced quite steeply here. They are rare to come by in Northern Virginia, so I'd expect that.

One cover was the wrong size…read more So, upon exchanging, was charged a 20% restocking fee (after initially being told they could not take it back) due to the packaging being opened. The cover / product was unused and in new condition. I would imagine kids open gifts fairly often and realize something is amiss like a speaker cover being the wrong size. Making an even exchange instead of charging a minimal $2.69 would have been frictionless and avoided losing a customer who would continue to spend hundreds of dollars a year. So, while we love the variety of toys and work hard to support local business, it's hard to overlook the lack of customer service.

From the Gearhead Stunt Garage to the Cooperative Games I have never heard of, but knew of song and/sayings. Apparently these are now a game. Scented pencils are sold here and I think about the crayons that were Scented from when I was in school. The things that trigger memories from your past. The ambience, prices and cleanliness are at an all time high. It is a Saturday today and a lot of kids and parents are in the store. The people in here are well behaved. We went with a group of three-year olds and they were ecstatic for an opportunity to check out new toys and get some energy out on a dreary day. They had a little something for everyone: ride on toys, baby dolls, sports equiptment, and all of the little blocks/gadgets a child could every want. The costume rack was also a favorite with characters ranging from superheroes, construction workers, to princesses. I love how this spot fills many different needs in the community: a third place for families to convene, eco-friendly way to get rid of all toys, and an affordable place to try out new toys and teach your child about responsibility and sharing. If I had no self control, I would have picked every single one of their pens, a Cinnamaroll claw clip, BTS pillow, and ALL the stickers. Luckily I looked at all the prices and stopped myself -- you can get a lot of the same things at Miniso for a better price these days. This is truly the place to get a hit of dopamine.

My friend and I started browsing the jewelry section and found a few cute pieces, but we noticed the cashier hovering nearby, which felt suspicious. It genuinely seemed like she was watching us to make sure we were "only looking," and it gave the impression she thought we might take something. It was extremely uncomfortable and made it hard to shop in peace. The whole experience changed how I feel about the store. I wouldn't shop there again, nor would I recommend it.
