Every time we've been in, the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. We started coming here when I brought my little guy in over a year ago when he started collecting pokemon cards, and they always slip a few extra cards in his bag. It was his birthday today and the owner saw him looking at magic cards and asked him if he was interested in learning. My little guy said he was, and so he reached behind the counter and got us a couple of starter decks and some extra cards because he said that he wants to encourage anyone who wants to learn how to play. It's just the kind of interaction that sets a comic book shop apart and it made a real impression on us. A quick search on the interwebs indicated the store had moved to a new location on the other side of Manassas. So off I went! The new location feels quite a bit large on the inside. They also have a snack bar with they sell food and drinks at certain times - and they have a large gaming room with plenty of tables and chairs! Looks like a good place for some D&D sessions! I was surprised by how large Tosche Station Echo Base is. The store is split into two rooms: the…read morefront room is dedicated to toys and collectibles, while the back room is packed with comics. They have a huge selection of action figures, statues, used video games, retro video games, and, of course, comics. The comic room has a ton of back issues, organized primarily by publisher--Marvel, DC, and independent. There are also several random long boxes without labels, along with a table containing several boxes labeled "Keys." There were also 3-4 short boxes of "key issues" scattered around the checkout counter. Fair warning: these boxes aren't particularly organized. Saying they're "loosely alphabetized" would probably be giving them too much credit. That said, if you enjoy digging through boxes looking for hidden gems, this can be a fun place to treasure hunt--as long as you have the time and patience. I'm a Spawn collector, and the designated Spawn section only had a handful of issues. However, I ended up finding several more Spawn issues scattered throughout the "Key" boxes on the table in the back. I even found more in the "Key" boxes at the checkout counter. I think consolidating all of these boxes into one organized area would make the shopping experience much better. It's fun finding unexpected issues, but when you're specifically hunting for something, it can be frustrating when the boxes aren't organized or alphabetized. As for pricing, the comics are generally priced fairly. Some of the variants and key issues are priced a bit on the high side, though, so it's worth knowing your values before making a purchase. The back room also has a free-to-play arcade cabinet, which is a nice bonus and adds to the retro vibe. The staff was nice and very helpful, which made the visit even better. Overall, this is a great spot for collectors who enjoy the treasure-hunt experience. If you have some time to spend digging through boxes, you never know what you might uncover. Just be prepared to do some serious hunting! ‍

My friend and I started browsing the jewelry section and found a few cute pieces, but we noticed the cashier hovering nearby, which felt suspicious. It genuinely seemed like she was watching us to make sure we were "only looking," and it gave the impression she thought we might take something. It was extremely uncomfortable and made it hard to shop in peace. The whole experience changed how I feel about the store. I wouldn't shop there again, nor would I recommend it. I came specifically to look at their books and the prices of books was amazing. I brought a novel home for $3.99. They have a lot of kitchen and home goods, rugs and small selection of garden things. I looked at the prices of some of their home appliances and it was fairly priced. What put me off about this place was the restroom mainly. It was so dirty, and not maintained. I blame mostly customers for throwing stuff on the ground including dirty toilet paper, who does that? There were not a lot of employees but someone should check in on the bathrooms because it was so gross. The employee at the checkout was so sweet and welcoming though, so I think I would come back if I'm in the area again.

Custom Lego everything. Love the custom minifigs and sets. Not only do they have Brickmania kits but other building and gaming products as well. These are not your kids' Legos. They are an after-market developer of kits. Custom minifigs are over $20 each. Sets go from $100s to $1000s. These are works of art. These kits sell out frequently. The only draw back is that they will not ship from store stock so you have to go in person. 2 hour drive for us.
