This thrift store is honestly such a hidden gem. Not only can you find amazing pieces -- from…read moreclothes to unique items -- but the money you spend goes toward a non-profit organization that rescues wild and domestic animals from cruelty, neglect, and lack of care. I think that's what makes shopping here so special. You're getting things you love while supporting a powerful cause at the same time. They also have a donation section if you want to give a little extra, which I definitely recommend. Overall, it's a great place doing great things -- definitely check it out!

My one complaint is that it takes them a while to process your donations and you only have 24 hours to accept the offer they give you. If you came from Maryland like we did, this isn't helpful. Just be aware you will most likely not get your deal the same day.

We were visiting Occoquan on a Monday and just happened to venture into this store and we're glad we did! My wife and I are expecting our first child and Gift and Gather had a really cute selection of onesies, bibs, small dolls, etc. When we entered the store, we were quickly greeted and welcomed into the store. Parking was easy and they had street parking right out front. Aside from cute baby stuff, they also had handmade/locally sourced soaps, gifts, shirts, etc. They had some items featuring dogs and things like that. They had a selection of fine tea and also really nice shaving/razor sets for men. Some really great gift ideas. As we finished up our visit and checked out the lady made some nice lunch suggestions, other stores she liked, and events coming up in Occoquan. She also did a really nice job of wrapping our purchase and tissue paper and a nice bag --a huge plus if you're shopping for a gift. We will definitely visit Gift & Gather next time we're in Occoquan! I added some photos (note they are from the business's Facebook page).

A wonderful bookstore with great staff and plenty of room to browse…read more I stopped at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Manassas and had a wonderful experience. The store was easy to find and there was plenty of parking available when we visited. This is the kind of bookstore that reminds me why I still enjoy going to a physical bookstore rather than simply looking for books online. The front of the store has large windows that let in plenty of light, the ceilings are high, and there is a lot of room between the main aisles, which gives the store a very open and comfortable feeling. The store was also very clean and well organized. There was a very nice selection of books separated into the different categories, making it fairly easy to browse if you aren't looking for a specific title. What really made the visit enjoyable, however, was the staff. I was looking for several books and they were very helpful in quickly directing me to the sections I wanted to peruse. They were knowledgeable about the books and also offered some suggestions based on what I was looking for, which is one of the things I really appreciate about a good bookstore. My one disappointment was the relatively small Science Fiction section compared with the much larger Fantasy section. Since I read quite a bit of Science Fiction, I would have liked to see a larger selection devoted to it. That was a fairly minor drawback, though, compared with everything else I liked about the store. Overall, this is a wonderful Barnes & Noble with a great selection of books, knowledgeable and helpful staff, a clean and spacious interior, plenty of parking, and a convenient location. I thoroughly enjoyed browsing here and would definitely recommend it to my fellow book lovers. Enjoy!
