Every time we've been in, the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. We started coming here when I brought my little guy in over a year ago when he started collecting pokemon cards, and they always slip a few extra cards in his bag. It was his birthday today and the owner saw him looking at magic cards and asked him if he was interested in learning. My little guy said he was, and so he reached behind the counter and got us a couple of starter decks and some extra cards because he said that he wants to encourage anyone who wants to learn how to play. It's just the kind of interaction that sets a comic book shop apart and it made a real impression on us. A quick search on the interwebs indicated the store had moved to a new location on the other side of Manassas. So off I went! The new location feels quite a bit large on the inside. They also have a snack bar with they sell food and drinks at certain times - and they have a large gaming room with plenty of tables and chairs! Looks like a good place for some D&D sessions! Joe, Transformers, and Masters of the Universe/She-Ra toys were among the many offerings this shop has. They also had loose toys in clamshells. Comic book new pull selection was good with many longboxes being priced at three dollars. They had no dollar boxes. Graphic novel selection was good and they have Manga offerings. Several retro arcade cabinets are located in the back room and they were busy during our visit. Prices were more on point then other shops like this in the area, with my friend getting two She-Ra toys that were in EXCELLENT condition for a great price. Tosche Station Echo Base is a must stop when in the area for the selection and the staff were also excellent to chat with.

As others have noted - this is a pretty small store. It might be the smallest comic book store I've seen in the area. But - small is not necessarily a negative. They have a good selection of comics. They also have a small selection of D&D books and dice. The owner, John, was personable and helpful and offered sound advice on vinyl records and caring for my new player. In addition to picking up albums from Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Bob Marley, I also picked up some handmade incense and a cleaning kit. Overall, it was a pleasant shopping experience, and I will return to Dragon Song the next time I am in Manassas. It is important to support local, small businesses!

This is a new location for Dragon Song - although they've been at this location for a number of…read moreyears now - many moons ago they were located in a small house off of Route 28 in the Yorkshire/Manassas Park section. Dragon Song carries used CDs, cassette tapes, and LPs - yes that's right - real vinyl albums! They also carry an assortment of other things: incense, figurines, wall tapestries and such. I believe you can bring in your used CDs, tapes, and albums and sell them to Dragon Song, I'd check on the details first before hauling a bunch of stuff over there. The proprietor of the shop was telling me that he is seeing a huge resurgence in vinyl. I used to visit the old location - this was my first time at the new location - and quite frankly - until I stumbled across the new location, I thought they had gone out of business! Very cool shop!
