As others have noted - this is a pretty small store. It might be the smallest comic book store I've seen in the area. But - small is not necessarily a negative. They have a good selection of comics. They also have a small selection of D&D books and dice. After perusing the store - I did not find anything I wanted, but I'll have to drag a couple of my nerdy comic book friends over to check the place out and get their take on the place. #BigPlanetComics

I really appreciated the family friendly area too. for the card section, they have both training cards and collectible card games. They carry things like Pokémon, Magic the Gathering , Lorcana, and Star Wars unlimited. But they have much more than just that. SERVICE: service was great! Overall, they are very helpful and it is well staffed. It was a little disorganized near the register, but can't really complain because of the great selection and the friendly attitude. COST: the value for what you get is right on the Mark. It is a place with reasonable prices and they stick relatively close to MSRP. The exceptions being what you would find at any other card shop. Right now Pokémon cards are through the roof, but at least here they are reasonable.

My children were enamored by their large Pokemon collection, my husband loved all the vintage comic books, and for me there was a section with old records to browse through. We easily blew through an hour looking at everything in the store and let me tell you... my children are not patient people. By the end of our visit we had to pick up some items to help build up my pre-schooler's budding Pokemon collection and something for big sis too. They had a large store with clearly labeled although crowded, aisles of comic, anime, cartoon, manga, clothing, and other items. This store is clearly a comic book lovers dream with a library of new and vintage ones that were for sale. They even had a basement area filled with comic books to purchase in bulk and video games to play. All in all, if you are looking for a specific comic book, manga merch, anime merch, Funko Pops and the like to add to your collection, this store is a must visit.

An entire half of the restaurant was sectioned off for gaming and I saw a bunch of people sitting down and having fun. Their proximity to GMU makes this a great place to build local community. Snacks are available (thanks for the $1 water!!!) and they have clean bathrooms. Everyone was super friendly and now I have a whole list of new games I want to purchase.

For example, earlier today, I went to two closer stores and was told a box of Avatar MTG cards was over $210 ($174 on Amazon) then I went to Pair o' Dice and bought it at $180. Joe, Transformers, and Masters of the Universe/She-Ra toys were among the many offerings this shop has. They also had loose toys in clamshells. Comic book new pull selection was good with many longboxes being priced at three dollars. They had no dollar boxes. Graphic novel selection was good and they have Manga offerings. Several retro arcade cabinets are located in the back room and they were busy during our visit. Prices were more on point then other shops like this in the area, with my friend getting two She-Ra toys that were in EXCELLENT condition for a great price. Tosche Station Echo Base is a must stop when in the area for the selection and the staff were also excellent to chat with.

Maybe it was my teenage hormones raging or the beautiful purple Catwoman suit with whip, but I had fallen hook line and sinker for her very own comics. Especially since this purple cat suit had no tail. Now believe it or not, I did not get my hands on the first copy first. It wasn't until the third copy came out that I went to go buy it. Unfortunately, the fourth edition came out by that time and the comic store did not have the other three copies. When I came home from The Gow School during my Winter Break, I went to Big Planet Comics to aquire the missing three comics. Big Planet Comics not only had the three missing books, but also plastic protective cases for them. Up until that point, I never cared or understood why people freaked out about their comics being opened and read. I got it all the moment I was interested in collecting Catwoman comics. I ordered my comics from D.C Comics, but not all the comics books came to me at school in pristine order. Enter Big Planet Comics once again. The comics that were not satisfactory were put to the side and the magazines I wanted were given plastic protective cases. I kept this up until I got 100 something Catwoman Comics. I must admit I was falling out of my comic book faze. Nevertheless, Big Planet Comics help keep everyone of my comic books safe, until they were thrown out be a storage company...yeah! It's been some years since I…read morecollected comic books because they started taking up too much space over the decades and because I started getting annoyed with DC and Marvel for their endless reboots, making everything I'd read before no longer cannon. However, I still love the characters and thought I'd pop in to see what's new since I stopped reading. I caught the owner at a moment when he had to care for a personal issue, as he was explaining to a customer that he had to step a way for a bit soon. I told him to feel free to kick me out and close the shop, I'm just there out of curiosity than a need to actually buy anything. I told him I'm a former collector. He insisted I stay and browse the comics and even take my time to read. I could mind the shop for him and just let anyone who comes in while he's away know that he will be back soon. I happily agreed and was a bit taken aback by his trust and kindness. He literally did leave me alone in his shop for a good 20 minutes. His is the sort of shop I preferred when I collected comics. The kind where the books are on the rack and you can flip through them a bit before you buy. This is in contrast to the stores that keep their comics bagged and you need to commit to buying before you know whether you will enjoy the storyline or the art. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I'd be a regular here. A small business definitely worth supporting.

Since most of the comics are covered and inaccessible you're left to stare at heavy opened boxes that should've been put up 6 months ago. But they scold you for looking through them and will not sell them to you and will treat you like you're opening a prerelease even if the comic came out in July! Terrible customer service from the older men and they take their smoke breaks at the entrance. The only nice employe is a younger woman. Figurines are bootleg, nothing with official seals but will range 200+ dollars! INSANELY overpriced pokemon cards, scalper pricing!!! Not a safe space for women, I will not be returning.
