This is my second time reaching out to Quality DC Appliance Repair - this time for a dishwasher that died on me. Mohamed offered a same-day inspection, quickly diagnosed the problem, and scheduled a follow-up once he had the parts. With parts in hand, he quickly remedied the issue, explaining the cause and the fix in full. He was very transparent about his pricing and was graciously flexible on the up-front vs. total cost split. A few days later, we actually encountered another issue with the washer (not his fault) and he came out quickly and remedied the new issue as well, and we're all up and running again! He's always prompt, incredibly friendly and professional, and I'll continue to rely on him for our appliance needs. read more

If there were a 6-Star option, I would give Quality DC Appliance that level of quality and professionalism. It's been hot & my central air just stopped working. Quality DC sent Ben over and he found the problem right away. In 1 day, he got me the part and fixed it. And this was no small job. I have an older central air unit with the AC on the roof and the fan in my crawl space. He got in the crawl space and figured it out. Almost more importantly he explained exactly what was wrong. I had water in the pan... why? The fan died. So my unit was freezing the dead fan & when it thawed, the water would fill the pan, set off the sensor and kill the power. Also, my unit is old. I bought the house 7 years ago and the AC was already there. I know the last owner. He didn't install it either. Ben got the right motor in 1 day. The price was perfect. I googled the motor price and he charged me the bottom dollar. I even had him over to flush the coil 2-days later. I trust this company and I'm going to tell all of my neighbors to exclusively use them. A++ read more

Mohamed is always the first person I call for appliance issues. We (foolishly - never again!) bought a Samsung washer and dryer and whether it's a heating element or something smaller like getting the kinks out of the dryer vent, Mohamed has always done it quickly, efficiently, and at a fair price. For whatever it's worth, he's also good with my two kids and explains the different parts to them, which is a nice bonus. read more

They recently did work on my dishwasher and I am super satisfied. The technician was prompt and commutative. When a part was needed there wasn't unnecessary delay, he picked it up and I was good to go the next day! Great experience overall and will definitely use them again. read more

Responsive and great work to fix my AC! Technician did a wonderful job, was professional, kind, and helpful. I recommend without hesitation

Came the next business day, within the window he provided. Had the part on hand to get our oven up and running right away. Will absolutely be working with him again if anything else breaks! read more

Called them for an oven that was slow to heat up, 10/10, quick response, professional and friendly, had the part needed for the repair, done quick at a price that seems fair to me, strongly recommended. read more

The true quality of a company is revealed when something goes wrong. And in this case it did and the results were bad. I hired the company to repair my washer. Diagnosis visit was great. Not so good after that. First repair appointment was cancelled during my scheduled appointment window because the part wasn't in yet. Second repair appointment, Mohamed showed up for the repair only to realize he had picked up the wrong part. The worst part was how he handled it. He said he had to drive back to Alexandria to get the right part. I had another contractor appointment at another property and told him my schedule was very challenging. He immediately became angry and literally started yelling at me. Said he was very busy too and this was messing up his whole schedule, exclaiming that it wasn't his fault. I was hoping to discuss our schedules to figure something out but he was losing it. I was trying to figure out what to do and he was yelling, "decide! decide!". Overwhelmed, I decided I would tell him go get it and come back and I'd try to figure out a solution in the meantime. After he left, I messaged the company and asked that they send another tech. They didn't have another tech. They refused to answer the phone and were not apologetic. Fortunately I was able to get my husband to come home from work and be there. At this point I was very upset and didn't ever want to see that man again. When Mohamed returned he fixed the dryer and apologized to my husband, but not to me, even though he was still texting me. Said he was really stressed. A little over a month later the part failed. It made me sick that we had to go back to the same company. They again said they didn't have another tech so again I had my husband be there for the appointment. I realized that likely there is only one Mohamed and the owner and tech are the same person. In spite of everything that had happened - the canceled appointment during the appointment time, showing up with the wrong part and yelling at me for it - he charged us $79 trip charge to replace the failed part. Said his labor warranty was 30 days. Here he had an opportunity to do something to compensate for his previous behavior and last minute cancellations, but he chose not to. I will never use this company again and do not recommend at all. So many good reviews but when things go wrong, beware. read more

Had a drainage issue with my Bosch dryer. Mohamed quickly diagnosed and it and did some troubleshooting. He explained what he was doing and what the next step would be if he couldn't clear the drain. Luckily he was able to clear the pump and we're back in business. read more

Quality DC came in and fixed the issue with the dryer vent promptly and really communicative

Fast. Professional. Knowledgeable. Offered us a range of options at different prices and helped us choose the right one.

DO NO USE. I contacted Mohamed about fixing my gas oven which was temperamental and would switch itself off due to a blown spark control board. After coming to look at the oven and telling me which parts to order off eBay, he came back two weeks later and decided he did not want to do the repair we agreed upon because he would hurt his back?? Mind you this is after he had already pulled my oven out from the wall. He actually broke two of my burners in the process, literally drilled through the screws, so now half of my burners don't work! He also left two random screws out from somewhere, I have no idea where they're supposed to go. He simply told me find someone else to fix it. Incredibly unprofessional, do not use this company. read more

Very reasonably priced and fixed our oven. Polite and we would contact again. 85 characters needed for review so here are more words.

I was very happy with this service. They were responsive and able to come out quickly when I requested help, and the technician Amen got me all the information I needed to get a new part under warranty from the dishwasher manufacturer and then replaced it very quickly. The cost of the diagnostic visit was deducted from the repair price, so it was essentially a free first visit if I hired them to do the full repair. I will definitely call Quality DC Appliance Repair the next time I have an appliance problem. read more

Quality DC immediately picked up the phone and was able to send out a repair man within hours, saving my fridge contents. Quick repair, great communication, and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend! read more

the business name says it all, Mohammed did a great job, and i will hire him for my future HVAC and appliance repairs. After many other mechanics came and fail to fix it but charged me, I finally had the luck to hire Mohammed. When he came over, the AC was working fine, it had intermittent problems. He was able to find the root cause just from my description, which shows his experience and skills. Moreover, he really showed me how things are broken, and educated me the basic knowledge to debug it myself next time. He also showed me how to do basic maintenance and things to pay attention to in the future. 10/10 would recommend. read more

You can't get better service than this. My refrigerator stopped cooling and we had to throw out everything. I requested service on Monday night (really late after 10pm, thanks to Mohamed) and Walid was at my door the next day at noon. He diagnosed the problem and came back the following day with replacement parts at an affordable price. We barely went without the fridge because of his excellent service, I highly recommend! read more

My A/C stopped working on one of the dreadfully hot days this summer. Quality DC Appliance Repair promptly reached me after I requested their assistance. I didn't expect them to be able to send someone out right away, but they did. Not only that, but Ben kindly called me to give me an ETA and then to give me an update when he hit some traffic. He was highly professional and knowledgeable, pinpointed the issue quickly, and then explained the problem inside my A/C unit in the backyard. He discussed my options and even suggested how I can keep this from happening again next summer. He fixed the unit quickly and even waited a few extra minutes to make certain the air coming out of the vents was in the proper temperature range. I heartily recommend this company and plan to use them again next summer for preventative work to keep things running smoothly. read more

Technician quickly came out and diagnosed and repaired the problem with my gas dryer . Price was reasonable .

We returned on Sunday from two weeks away to the furnace leaking and overflowing the drain pan. We quickly cleaned up the mess but needed help to figure out what happened. By 1pm on Monday--15 hours after first noticing--Mohamed had diagnosed and fixed the problem, reviewed the other units, and did some routine maintenance. He also offered some advice on ways to prevent a similar problem in the future as well as ways to make the entire system more efficient. I cannot state enough how happy I am with Quality DC Appliance Repair. Look no further, and hire Mohamed to fix your emergency repair. read more

Responded on the app quickly, accepted the job...but did not actually send 2 technicians to move a heavy dryer (I stated clearly in my post that 2 people were needed for this job). One technician arrived, could not move the dryer to do the simple reconnection of the vent. He said he would talk to his partner and text me when they would return to move it and reconnect the vent. We made sure he had my number in his phone. I waited the next day and most of the second before I reached out...the next morning I received a message stating they could not do the repair! They did not charge me, at least. But it was a simple reconnection, they were told 2 people were required up front, they accepted the job and then would not complete it....thus delaying a needed repair. Edit: The response from the owner here is an attempt to mislead about what happened. Wow. To his response: I hired your company and only your company. I did not hire another until you stated you would be unable to complete the job I hired you to do. Then, I had to post again to hire a second company, who came -that- day and completed the task with Two men. I don't think two men count as any "special equipment". I was honest in my review and factual. If you are referring to the person who told me I needed two people...that was my electrician. He was not hired to repair the dryer vent. He was hired to repair the electrical outlets and just happened to be there when I discovered the vent was likely disconnected and gave his opinion about hiring someone to fix it. Thus why I told you 2 people were needed....but you sent 1. One is not what I said was needed. You are "being blamed" for not completing a job you said you would and failing to send 2 technicians that I knew were clearly needed. Nothing more or less. Here's the screenshot of the text I received. read more

Quality DC Appliance Repair - Text received of inability to complete. - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

Dishonest and rude. Told me that my dryer needed all 4 rollers replaced which would cost $350+. The dryer is less than 2 years old and the rollers are in perfect condition. I asked him to show me where the rollers were damaged or worn...he made a snide remark assuming I didn't know what I was talking about. If a technician can't clearly show you why/where something needs to be fixed, that's a red flag. I asked him to leave immediately. Of course, the issue was simply that the blower needed to be cleaned which cost me $0 to fix, and I put the entire dryer back together myself. read more

Responsive, excellent service and communications, fast, efficient, affordable. Highly recommend!

This company will be my first call forever now! During our first year of homeownership, we had a home warranty that always left us waiting weeks for a repair and still paying hundreds out of pocket. Needless, to say we didn't renew but were a little nervous for when the next appliance went bad. Sure enough, our oven stopped heating up recently. We saw Quality DC's great reviews and sent him a message, and they came out the same DAY, parts in hand, and did the repair for a reasonable cost. He also assessed our malfunctioning dishwasher and advised us it was time to replace it (the repair wouldn't be worth it). Finally, he gave us tips on how to maintain our AC units! He's going to be our first call for all appliances forever now. What a relief! read more

Mohamed was prompt, courteous, and professional. He explained everything clearly for us, and did not try to 'sell' us on anything. He even took the time to validate his fix was working before heading out, and gave us some very good advice on planning for our eventual replacement HVAC unit. Would call on him again without hesitation. Update: Realized they also had come before to fix our aging dryer. They did just as much of an efficient job at that time as well. They really know their stuff, put emphasis on customer service and satisfaction, and work hard for their (well deserved) reputation. Would doubly call them again without hesitation. read more

They are the best! If they can't fix it, they will tell you! Great work and fair price, can't ask for more.
