Good for oysters and draft beer. Their seating design is…read moreunfortunate. They put tables less than a foot apart, and when someone is next to you, sick, coughing and blowing their nose into their napkin, it feels gross to be so close. Also, not sure how well they bus their tables after people leave. My table had a sticky spot so I added some water to my napkin to wipe it and the napkin was pretty dirty. Got shrimp & grits and the shrimp were yummy, piping hot but the grits were room temp. Same thing kind of happened with the entree. Fish was cooked nice and came out hot, but the mashed potatoes under the fish was room temp.

This was our first time eating lunch at Ironwood Hingham at the South Shore Country Club…read moreThe food and service were wonderful and we can't wait to go again to try more of their dishes! We started with the house-baked bread sampler that was served with honey butter and a delicious "nest" of hummus and an appetizer of honey roasted carrots on a bed of farro. We then shared the Salmon Poke Bowl that was so fresh and flavorful and a spring pasta dish of lemon cream, fresh tomatoes, arugula with lots of cheese. There were so many items on the menu we'd like to try but their baker makes such incredible bread that we ordered another plate! Cheers to chef/owner Tina Conte and her team. Also, the view from the dining room looking out at the golf course is really pretty, even on a rainy day and the decor of the restaurant is comfortable and inviting for spending a slow lunch enjoying great food.

We were seated within a few minutes of arriving, which was nice. Our server was great - greeted us right away and went through the specials for the evening. We started with drinks - my cosmo was delicious (nice that it comes in the shaker and she poured it at the table), and bread. The corned bread was ok - it came with plenty of butter. On to the entrees - I had the chicken picatta, which was good, and came with a generous portion of linguini. My friend had the steak tips (on the specials menu) which came with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Trivia was a lot of fun - more old school style of writing answers and point wagers on paper for each round, and bringing it up to the quiz master. We will definitely be back for trivia, and dinner, again soon!

Super crispy and the aioli paired perfectly with the flavors of the fries. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp Alla Busara...a dish that brought me back to when I was small and my uncle would prepare a similar dish. Each ingredient in the delicious sauce shined through in a beautiful way. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and almost had the taste and consistency of lobster. There was a generous slice of crusty bread which I used to sop the sauce at the end. My god it was good. Paired with a great little off the menu but on the menu side salad of fennel, orange and arugula, this was the perfect portioned meal for me. My mom had the small portion of the Vodka Radiatori which was spicy the way she likes. Jessica checked in and gave our compliments to the chef!! For dessert we had the perfectly portioned small Pistachio Cannoli. The filling was exquisite with a hint of orange which elevated the ricotta to a delectable level! This was a STELLAR meal made all the better by our server, Jessica! We arrived on the early side just after they opened so the ambiance was still rather quiet and subdued. By the time we left more tables had filled and the place was really coming to life. Highly highly recommend if you are in search of some very well prepared Italian food. It was obvious the chefs put a lot of love into what they serve! Well done. Complimenti allo cuosco!!

So this was our second time there. The first time was just me and my wife. We went there early to…read morehave dinner. We were sat down and waited and waited for someone to come over to us. When we had a waitress I ordered a beer and my wife had a martini we ordered dinner. Everything seemed fine. The food was decent. Nothing memorable. When we flagged down the waitress to order another drink. I said I'll have another beer and my wife another martini. She comes back with my beer and forgets my wife's martini and says oh I'll go have it made right now. I finished my beer before she even came back and we just said forget the martini we are done and leaving. They looked a little shorthanded, so I gave him the courtesy of the doubt. So we went last night with my three brothers and wife's. We had a 5 o'clock reservation. We were sat down promptly and ordered around of drinks. The waitress comes back and didn't even have the right beer for my brother. She got on the wrong kind. No big deal. We ordered dinner and waited and outcomes our dinner but missing one dinner. My wife's chicken masala. she apologize and said she'll go right back and get it. They never made it. They were making it on the fly. Most of us had finished our dinner and my wife's dinner still had not come out so she just said cancel it I don't want it. The waitress was apologetic and said that she'll take the meal off the bill and then making it anyway so she can take it home. She also said that she would give her the drink for free on the house. My wife said she'd take another one and the waitress left and never came back with the drink. By that time we were done we weren't gonna say anymore so we just got up and left. Paid the bill and left. I know this is lengthy, but the restaurant food is mediocre if you order a chicken dish every chicken dish is gonna be chicken tenders, chicken masala, breaded chicken tenders cut up, chicken stirfry breaded chicken tenders, Parmesan chicken tenders are on the menu so they buy frozen chicken tenders and use it every chicken dish. That's not quality. We just won't go back to martinis even though it's nice enough from the outside and inside but the service is poor. The food is mediocre at best. I'll pass and go somewhere else.

Grabbed drinks here with a friend on a Saturday night and wow was it busy!…read more There was live music when we first walked in so the ambiance was quite loud... like I could barely hear myself let alone hold a conversation. The place itself was small too so the music really overpowered everything. But once the live music wrapped up the vibes were good! Not too loud that I was screaming over it, but still lively. I got the Heart of Stone which was delicious! Not too sour or sweet, but was definitely a strong cocktail. I had 3/4 of it and I was already feeling it. My friend got an Old Fashioned and she was a big fan! It went down quite smoothly and tasted good too. For $14 a drink, it was a little pricy but honestly I've seen places in Boston charge more. I would recommend coming here to grab drinks but maybe not a spot to catch up because of how loud it was. Would love to try their food as it looked pretty good!

We read gluten free reviews and were pleased to see they offer a lot of gluten free options for my husband who has celiac. The place was lively. Even when they brought our dish my husband and I both thought waitress said salmon but she said chicken. Our dishes were great though and portions generous. One table that was louder left and we were able to hear better. Don't get me wrong we are young and love a lively atmosphere but the sound seems to echo with booming voices and makes it difficult to hear. We'd come back again though if in the area.
