Omelet with homefries and sourdough; eggs sardou in the background.
C S.

We were excited to try this place on our visit to Little Compton. Pros: service was super fast, friendly, and coffee refills were quick. We were told a 30 minute wait and we waited only 30 minutes. Home fries were excellent, perfect poached egg, sourdough was excellent, good omelet. Ambiance was wonderful - a refurbished old barn!! Prices were excellent. Cons: eggs bayou was meh - the crab cakes were so-so and the hollandaise sauce was flavorless. Food was room temperature when it arrived. If I came back I would try the pancakes and waffles instead - those might be better.

The barn is a delicious place to get breakfast. I have eaten here twice now and both times were incredible. I had eggs Benedict the second time, which was excellent. The coffee cake of the day was to die for. My husband really enjoyed his omelet both times, as well. The servers are very friendly and personable. You can tell there are many locals who frequent this place quite often. It is very quaint inside and there aren't too many tables which makes it super cozy. We will be back soon!

If you are planning on eating here, especially on a weekend; get there early. The place is always packed and for good reason. The wait staff is friendly and willing to always make sure you are happy! The cinnamon roll is amazing! The lobster Benedict was so good I wanted more! Get a mimosa if you want the full brunch experience. The coffee is good as well. The entire is super cute and rustic. It's worth the drIve if you are anywhere in the vicinity. I cannot wait to go back in the near future..

Hello, wonderful place, finally able to try, (thanks Brad). Great atmosphere, food is fresh, and abundant, only tried breakfast so far but was very impressed. I highly recommend.

We went on a busy, rainy Saturday around 10:30 and waited about 20 mins or so for a table. . The staff was very friendly and I liked how they all worked together as a team. My husband got a b fast sandwich on a croissant with OJ, he immediately commented how it was fresh squeezed. I got an iced coffee and the crab cakes eggs benedict. . Everything was delicious - we loved the rustic barn atmosphere too.

Excellent! From the food to the service to the ambiance. So glad I finally was able to check this place off my foodie bucket list. Everything was so fresh. It's a 2 hour roundtrip for me but I hope to visit at least monthly!!

What a pretty location in a small quaint village across from the town softball field in, as you'd expect an old barn. Rustic rafters, wonderful old sliding door, lots of art on the walls the setting is a winner. Beautiful warm June day we sat inside because it was the first available table but the outdoor patio is truly inviting with gardens, rock walls and is much quieter. Nicely designed menu, our waitress was delightful and right on top of things, managed to get us a appetizer order of local Adamsville Jonny Cakes to try BEFORE the breakfast orders were brought out. In the south, we call 'em, Hoe Cakes, and no, I ain't callin' anybody a hoe. Each person in our party of four had something less than complimentary to say about their breakfast dish so I'll just concentrate on my order, Eggs Sardou. You see, I'm from New Orleans and was excited to see this hometown dish offered here in of all places. Granted, Eggs Sardou is not the easiest dish to prepare, especially if you are unfamiliar with its correct construction but if you are going to have it on your menu, then you ought to at least serve a fair semblance of one. What I got was, what tasted like, two watery quarter artichoke hearts fresh outta a can, dumped onto a soggy bed of frozen spinach, on an english muffin with a miserly amount of rather humdrum Hollandaise sauce over overcooked hard eggs. If this was creamed spinach, then somebody done forgot the cow for the cream, the lemon for the Hollandaise and the timer for the eggs. But hey, 'dem cubed 'taters were mighty tasty!

Grilled cinnamon bun, Warm and toasty.

Fast, friendly service with a smile. Close quarters, but somehow comfortable. Beautiful morning light adds to the welcome. The hash, the hashbrowns, the specialty egg dishes, and weekly specials are worth the sometimes lengthy wait.

I've never had a bad meal here. I'm not really a big fan of breakfast food but I love this place. Try to get there early because it does fill up quickly. Service is always good and waitresses are friendly. I love the quaint country atmosphere.

Overpriced, slightly above average food where those that can afford to not cook at home go mostly in the summer.

Exceeded my expectations. I got the breakfast bowl special which has farro, peppers, onions,…read morepotatoes, and topped with an egg - it was a really tasty bowl. The ingredients were actually cooked together and well seasoned making for a cohesive dish rather than one of those bowls that just dumps separate ingredients into a bowl that lacks flavor. Would get this again for sure. My only complaint is that my egg was covered in black specs which appeared to be burnt cast iron residue. The honey lavender scone was also great - nice texture - almost biscuit like tbh, and the lavender flavor was a little too subtle for me to really taste, but I still enjoyed it. The place is cute as well but be warned they don't let you use a laptop here which I'm not a fan of. I didn't have a laptop on me but I know a lot of people like to go to cafes and do some work. My friends got sandwiches and they rated them 10/10. The bread looked like they had the perfect texture.

The cafe itself is absolutely gorgeous. One of the nicest cafes I've ever seen. Decorated perfectly and had numerous goodies to sell. It was packed but we didn't have trouble finding a place to stand. The menu is pretty limited but that made it easy to choose what we wanted. The employee who served us was very accommodating and friendly. She answered any questions we had with no issues. I ended up ordering a leek quiche and chai tea latte. The total for two drinks, a quiche, and a sandwich came out to $56. Definitely way too pricey to do this often. The food came out quickly. My latte was delicious but for $8 it should be. Mostly ice as well. My quiche was not as delicious though. It was barely lukewarm and pretty bland. For $19 I also found the portion to be pretty small. Definitely not something I would order again. My partner enjoyed his sandwich but said it was also small for the price and the bread was a bit too crusty. Overall, it's a beautiful venue and a nice experience but I wouldn't rush back on my next trip to Tiverton.

What a brilliant idea! I am a chai snob of sorts. I only like chai made from powder and NOT liquid! Happily Sunset Cove uses the powder and it was delicious! Had mine iced! My husband had an iced latte and he said it was smooth. We sat outside in a couple of the adirondack chairs enjoying the view and the breeze off the water. The inside is also a very nice setting. We both used the bathrooms which were clean and whatever deodorizer they use smells good! These things matter too! I can't wait to return. They have concert nights and their pastries looked yummy. It was very busy for noon on a weekday, though it is summer and the weather was gorgeous. The restaurant itself is clean and well kept. The outdoor area is lovely. There's plenty of seating and a fun tiki bar that opens in the summertime. For lunch, I got the wild berry iced tea and the breakfast bowl. My sister got the tea and avocado toast. Portion sizes are small, and at cafe prices. The avocado toast was super disappointing... it was one slice of bread, a smear of avocado, and about a quarter cup of chopped up tomatoes. I put more butter on my toast than the amount of avocado this one had. It's a great local spot, but be warned about the food/prices.

We generally sit outside during the summer months. We go to Horseneck Beach a lot and this place is a stable when we want a sit down dinner. They have a fire pit with wood, which I absolutely love. They also have a tent set up that has an outside bar and a lot of tables. We have sat inside before in October after surfing as it gets kind of chilly. I've had a lot of stuff on their menu. I'd have to say my favorite dish is their eggplant fries. They are cooked perfectly every time, come with an aïoli and are really just absolutely one of my favorite foods. The picture I posted is from a lobster BLT special and as you can tell, they didn't skimp on the lobster. I've also had their lobster roll, which is absolutely delicious. They have homemade coleslaw that accompany many of the dishes and I highly recommend that too. The staff is always great, especially considering that most of them are part-time and working a summer job. They carry soda from a local soda company, which is awesome as they support all local businesses, including breweries. The drinks are a little pricey, but aligned with other places that are open seasonally around the area. They have an extensive dessert menu with quite a few homemade desserts. I've liked everyone that I've had from them! This will remain in our restaurant rotation, and I would suggest that you check it out for yourself. As a child visiting…read morefamily in Westport each summer, I remember our parents going to Moby Dick's, the formal restaurant that occupied this spot, while the children stayed behind. When The Back Eddy opened, it brought exactly the fresh energy the waterfront needed, with a lively atmosphere and a cool, welcoming character of its own. There's been a fresh wave of great spots across the Farm Coast, and The Back Eddy remains firmly on my list of essentials in Westport, Little Compton, and Tiverton. The Maine mussels, roasted corn, clam chowder, and Boat Show are among my favorite seafood dishes anywhere. Inside, the dining area is bright and inviting, and the staff is professional, attentive, and warm. The waterfront bar is a wonderful spot for drinks and something from the raw bar. Their Bloody Mary is excellent, too. I've enjoyed it just as much in the off-season, and it feels like a restaurant that truly belongs to Westport. Our pack of children under 5 has kept us away the past few summers, mostly because sitting remains a work in progress. My one objection, and this is a big one, is that it can be very noisy. It is hard to have a nice, relaxed conversation once it gets busy. The din is especially pronounced in the large dining room. We prefer to sit at a table off to the left of the entrance (the view of the sunset is particularly nice from there). It would get a very solid 5 stars if it was a little quieter.
