Good spot to chill by the water after a long day at the beach. They have a number of different seating options outside. Food prices are in the $20-$40 range. We got the classic fish and chips and the grilled swordfish. The fish and chips were quite good. The fish was lightly battered and fried just right. Service was very good. Overall it was a good experience though a bit pricey. Parking is somewhat limited.

One of the best restaurants on the Farm Coast. The chowder is terrific and excellent fish and chips. It is always busy during the summer, but the outside bar on the dock is a great place to grab a beverage while you wait for a table.

I was introduced to The Back Eddy 20 years ago and I have never been disappointed. Located on the water with nice views from the dining room. The food was the star. Was able to sample about 1/2 the offerings, all were fabulous. Service was outstanding too.

The current winner (at time of picture) of the fishing tournament Back Eddy's. I forgot to take photos of our meals. Opps

It's about a 30-minute drive from Aquidneck Island and well worth the trip. The menu is limited but thoughtfully curated, with an emphasis on exceptionally fresh local seafood. The lobster roll ($27) may be one of the best in the area, and the oysters are outstanding--especially considering they're priced at less than $3 each. Beverage options are extensive, and there's something for just about everyone, including a hot dog for children. The atmosphere is relaxed. There are no reservations, and all seating is outdoors, with roughly ten picnic tables and several high-top tables. The waterfront setting is part of the charm, offering beautiful views and cooling breezes, but even on warm days it's wise to bring a sweater or light jacket. If you go, allow a little extra time for the drive. The roads leading to Westport pass through one of New England's most scenic rural landscapes, with numerous Colonial-era homes, historic farms, and stone walls that provide a glimpse into the region's rich history. The journey is almost as enjoyable as the destination.

More facts, this is a sea farm. They grow and harvest their oysters within a stones throw. Coming in by boat you see all of the cages. You cannot get a fresher oyster. Since they are a farm they can harvest smaller oysters that you and I cannot with our shellfish license. They a perfect delectible size. Great flavor and may I say even better than ICO, with the exception of their Aunt Dotty. Cold lobster is exceptional as well. If you like you're buttered and hot, you can get that to, but I can escort out of the premises and point you north to Maine where you can join the tourists. Yes it's expensive. This is not buck a shuck. But you're eating oysters which are no longer peasant food. So yes you want cheap oysters or wish to shuck them yourself, go to Market Basket and stop complaining. Cheap & seafood do not go together. Never experienced anything but kind service from the staff. Those complaining about rude service may want to look in the mirror cause you're likely an ahole. Only downside is their seasonal operation. Would be great to go there during the off season when the tourist are long gone, but it's likely not financially feasible.

It's cute inside but a reservation is definitely a good idea as it was quite crowded. The drinks that we tried were all quite tasty. The calamari was good. The fried chicken Caesar wrap was great. I was a little hesitant to have the peanut butter thing cheesecake as I don't know why you'd stray from the peanut butter thing. It opened at 11:30 so we arrived close to that time, with no reservation. The decor was beautiful and with a fresh nautical feel. We were greeted warmly when we walked in the door and seated right away by the window with a view of the harbor and boats. Our waitress came over right away and gave us our menus - three of them. One was a regular menu, one was lunch specials, and I think the other one was for Chef's selections. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara on the lunch menu and it was amazing! The portion was just enough and was very flavorful and fresh. My friends had chicken Caesar salad and a mixed bowl (not sure about this one). I didn't take pics of our food because we all just dove right in, but I DID take a picture of our dessert. OMG it was bread pudding with fresh whipped cream and ice cream - soooo good!! The place filled up pretty quickly by the time we left it was full. The prices were reasonable and the wine was just fine! I wish I could remember the waitresses name to give her a shout out because she was a doll! Can't wait to visit again!

It definitely has the little clam shack vibes that makes the experience feel even more authentic. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Must say, things are a bit "neat" and protocol/rule based and that is not entirely in a positive way. It's more like a cafeteria with strict rules rather than a family friendly restaurant. Must order before being seated, forks are handed to you in a prepackaged sets based on the number of parties, no reserving seats, some tables are specified for parties of 4 or 5 members, etc. Unsure. But it seemed more like a strict military protocol rather than somewhere to just come in and enjoy the fresh seafood! Saw one customer, party of two, being told to move to the other table since they have only two people. It's like, those seats would not even be filled up during their time there. Understand the strict rules, but some flexibilities might make sense in such scenario... rather than following the strict protocol, don't you think? Two sets of automatic paper towels roller in each of the male and female restroom. Now, that was a good thing, and presumably to ensure customers would always have one ready when the other is broken or runs out. But that's a bit anal.
